"A waitress!" He exclaimed.
We found our way into the place, and I thought of something that I had read. People always pay respect to a CEO; I just hope that he isn't known here.
"Where is your boss?" Jason asked a passerby who pointed forward.
With a lovely eye, Jason walked me down the hall to the boss's office. We were stopped by the guards and laid our request.
"Our boss is busy, and won't have time," one of them said.
I was absolutely stunned by his behavior. If he only knew that he was speaking to an Alpha.
"We would wait for him," Jason said.
The guard tried to make us leave but we didn't.
Some minutes later, a man walked out and invited us into his office. He congratulated us for waiting for him and not stirring trouble. When I looked at Jason, he was foaming with anger.
"Jason, calm down!" I whispered.
The man looked at us and said he was either accepting a waiter or a waitress and we were the first two to come.
"I would choose one of you," he said.
Jason was about to speak when all of a sudden, his phone rang. He excused himself and I looked around the office.
The man who was called BOSS, just sat and did nothing. He just smiled and waited till Jason came back.
After his phone call, Jason walked back into the office and sat down on the chair.
"So, as I was saying, we would only choose one person out of the both of you, but I feel the man has more capacity," he said.
My mouth flew open as I looked at Jason who was busy with his phone. Jason looked up and met my gaze.
"Oh, sorry sir. I wasn't listening to you," he said.
"Jason!" I called.
Before he could respond, the man already introduced himself to be Mr. Harry. His hand was stretched out to Jason, who introduced himself, and then he introduced me.
"Welcome to the field," Mr. Harry said.
Jason wore a baffled expression and then looked at me. He explained that I was the one who needed it and not him.
Mr. Harry wore a sad expression and then welcomed me.
He called for someone to show me around and tell me what I needed to do. I listened attentively and took each detail to myself.
Later, I left with Jason. I hugged him as we approached the car.
"Thank you!" I said.
From there, we went home.
The table was decorated with plates and we went to eat. After eating, we rested a bit and then decided to go to Jason's company.
Getting to the company, people crowded us. They were asking for an autograph. I didn't know what that meant but paid attention only to Jason who ignored all of them.
We continued walking and finally stood in front of a huge window. It was opened and Jason walked in with me by his side.
"You can ask them for anything you need; I will be back soon," he said, leaving me by a couch.
I picked up my phone and began to play a game. I could sense that some people were looking at me but I didn't know why.
I kept playing my game until someone approached me.
"Would you like anything, madam?" She asked and I waved my hand.
"No, you can just get me a cup of water," I said.
The lady took a bow and walked away. She came back minutes later with a cup. I looked at her as she dropped it and smiled.
After she left, I took the cup and was about to take a sip when I heard Jason's voice, "Don't drink it."
He looked around, collected the cup from me, and went to empty it.
Everyone gathered and I could see the fear in them.
"Is that water or alcohol?" Jason asked with a harsh tone that could make everything fear.
The lady who gave me the cup of water came out and trembled.
"Alcohol, most of our clients like alcohol," she said, trembling.
"Does she look like your client?"
"No sir," she answered.
Jason introduced me once again as his wife and not a client.
"We do not drink alcohol," he said with a bang.
I saw many of them looking at themselves. I knew that they were bordered about how Jason knew it was alcohol. It was due to our height of smell.
If it wasn't that I wanted to trust everyone, I would have known this.
"If you try that again, or if anyone tries it to anyone who asks for water, you will face the wrath of the law,"
The people were silent.
I walked to Jason's back and rubbed it. When I felt like he had calmed his nerves, I was about to walk away, but he held my hand and gave me a peck on my forehead.
"We are going together," he said to me then turned to the workers, "You may leave to your duty post."
We walked away together and entered his office. It was beautiful and quiet similar to his office in the pack.
"Your office is big and spacious, similar to..." I paused knowing that anyone could hear me.
"Why do you trust people easily?" He asked.
I closed my eyes and told him how I hated it but found myself trusting people.
"You are our Lu..." He was saying then paused.
I knew what he wanted to say and smiled. He opened his arms, and I walked in; we embraced, and he gave me a peck on my forehead.
"Be good," he said.
Hours later, we walked out of the office and out of the company. Jason opened the passenger seat for me and I entered with a smile. He walked to the driver's seat after closing the door and began to drive.
Minutes later, the car stopped at a canteen. Jason ordered a take-home. He ordered for three so I guessed that the third pack was for Miranda.
We waited for some minutes and then were given three packs.
After paying we went on our way. We entered the car.
Getting home, Jason called for Miranda and gave her a pack. She showed her gratitude while we went to the couch.
Miranda got us two cups of water and we continued enjoying our meal.
