Bella POV
It was a new day and a day I would start my work as a waitress. I got up early, had my bath, and got changed into one of the dresses they had provided me the last day.
Jason had promised to take me to my workplace before he goes to his restaurant. I kissed his forehead and he kissed me.
I left the room while he went to take his bath.
Miranda had begun to work. I greeted her and so did she.
"What are we having for breakfast?" I asked.
She replied to me, and I went to the table to take my seat. A few minutes later, Jason came out of the room wearing a typical flag shirt and a honey-brown trouser.
"Good morning," he greeted Miranda who responded.
She left what she was doing and went to bring our breakfast. After eating, we prepared to leave.
Jason took me to work and promised to come pick me up after we were done. I went into the boss's office to register my presence as I had been told.
After registering my presence, he referred me to a place. I went to do the necessary things before I started my job.
I carried food to customers and took orders. I never felt tired. Some customers took an interest in my beauty and said that they would be coming here every day. I silently prayed that no one would try to take advantage of me, thereby making me showcase my power.
"Bella!" Someone called me and I turned around to see the person I had beaten in my world.
My heart skipped a beat and I prayed that he won't reveal anything to anyone.
"You look familiar," he said and I felt relieved. "Have we ever seen before?"
I shook my head and he nodded.
"Maybe I am only thinking. I really can't say where I saw your face,"
"Oh, you've never seen me, sir," I said and he took in a deep breath.
I took his order and delivered it.
When it was time for me to rest, I walked back. I couldn't let anyone know about my super strength. I wasn't tired but I still needed to take my break.
Ladies surrounded me and asked how I didn't feel tired when doing my work. Without thinking much, I told them that I love doing my job well before taking some rest.
"That's nice," a lady said. "But you are still new here."
Without thinking too much, I only smiled.
"Your beauty is out of this world," a lady commented.
"Thank you," I said.
She asked me for what cream I was using. I looked up and smiled.
I wasn't using any cream but I only used oil.
"I use oil,"
I couldn't tell them the type of oil that I was using because I was not sure if that type was in the human world.
They wanted to know what type of oil I was using, so I used my hand to rub my forehead before telling them that I did not know the name. They urged me to find out the name when I got home, and I smiled. I would need to browse the name of some nice human oil when I get home.
My free time was over and I went back to work. At a moment, I encountered a woman. Looking at her face, I remembered her. She was the woman we had helped pick up her son when her car broke down.
"Aren't you Bella?" She asked and I nodded my head.
The first thing I could do was to stretch forth my hand to her. She told me to take my seat, but I refused.
"I just began working here," I said.
She called for the manager who later urged me to take a seat.
"What about your brother?" She asked.
"Brother?" I asked, and she nodded, saying that our faces looked like we were siblings.
"Oh, he is my husband," I said.
She was stunned and so was the waiter next to me.
"Were you forced into marriage? You look young. Eighteen years old." I smiled when she got my age right.
I have learned that in the human world, they can allow their daughters to marry at the age of eighteen. Hence, I knew what to say.
"I love him, and he did, so we chose to marry," I said with a smile. "He told me that people may think that he overpowered me, but I didn't respond to him. All I did was to love him."
The woman nodded her head but advised me to be careful.
"Let's exchange our contacts. You can call me whenever he harasses you," she said. "I would call the cops on him."
"Then you will take him to the dungeon," I said, and I could see the woman's face. "Oh no, I mean prison."
She began to laugh and told me not to keep watching a lot of horror movies.
"Werewolves and vampires use dungeons," she said.
After chatting with her for some time, I got up and continued taking orders. Some female workers looked at me with envy, and when I tried to speak with them, they walked away.
I turned to look at the other female workers and one of them told me that the set I wanted to speak with envied me because I spoke with one of the investors of this place. This made me smile.
"May I ask why you were speaking with her?" One of them asked.
"My husband and I helped her one day and I played with her son so she considers me a friend,"
The ladies were stunned, and my instinct told me that it was because I used the word 'husband'.
I didn't say anything more but left. I looked at the time and discovered that my shift was almost ending.
"I love the way you bonded with people on your first day," I heard in my head.
This made me jump, but I calmed my nerves down.
