Bella POV
It was Mattie.
I mentally scolded her not to talk to me here unless I was alone. I was relieved that no one saw us.
Hours later, my morning shift was over so I packed up and walked out. I began to look everywhere if I would recognize Jason's car but it wasn't anywhere near.
"What is wrong with Alpha Jason?" I asked placing my hand on my head.
Only then did I notice that someone was beside me. Did she hear what I just said?
I looked at her and discovered that she was engrossed in a phone conversation. A car sped and we all moved back. I let out a sigh when I saw that it wasn't Jason's car.
"Mind going on a ride with me?" I heard and looked down.
It was the woman that I spoke with.
"No," I replied. "My husband would come to me."
"Darling, you can tell him to come to get you at my place," she said but I shook my head.
"Don't worry. We would be going on a dinner date,"
She smiled and waved at me.
Shortly after she left, Jason's car pulled up. This made me giggle. I walked over to the passenger's seat.
"Sorry that I was late," he said.
I only smiled and looked out of the window when Jason told me that we were going on a dinner date.
"You told her what was on your mind and I will fulfill it," he said.
I shook my head and held his hand.
"You do not need to go through all the stress. I just told her that because I want to be with you,"
Jason smiled and patted my cheek.
"We would go home, play some games, change our clothes, and go for a dinner date," he said.
"And Miranda?" I asked.
"She would go to her home," Jason said.
Why do we have a maid who cooks our meals when we are always eating outside? We could have told her to do other jobs except cooking.
"On your numerous trips here, do you eat at home?"
"I do whenever I am in a country that I haven't established myself," he said.
We got home hours later, and he brought out a gamepad. He tossed one to me and pulled the TV antenna. He called out Miranda and told her that she should leave immediately she is done with what she is doing.
"Take a break tomorrow," he said.
After Miranda left, he turned to me and told me that he wanted us to spend the whole time together. I felt the warmth in his hands. Later, we began to play the game.
I laughed heftily as we played the game. I lost to Jason but it was fun.
"Let me get us a drink," Jason said as we saw Miranda leave the house.
My phone rang once and I was excited. It was Catherine. She and Samantha wanted to speak with me.
While speaking with them, Jason came back with two cups of drinks. I informed them that Jason was by my side and Catherine asked to speak with him.
I felt happy after drinking what he brought.
Jason spoke to Catherine for some minutes then passed the phone to me. I spoke to her for a few minutes before ending the call.
"Let's get to our game," Jason said sipping his drink.
We continued playing the game until I finally won a round.
"Let's go out," Jason said getting up to his feet.
I also got up and took the cups back into the kitchen.
We got changed into another dress and went out. I thought we were entering the car, but Jason decided that we should walk. This made me feel glad as I had the chance to cling to his shoulder while walking.
Jason was all loving while we walked. He spoke to me about different things and I rested my head on his shoulder. We stopped in front of his restaurant.
"Here we are," he said.
He wanted me to be treated well. We sat at the VIP spot. Jason held my hand and kissed it.
A waiter came to ask for our order and later brought it.
"How was your first day at work?" He asked and I smiled.
"It was nice,"
I narrated everything to him although he knew some. After eating we left the place.
I didn't want to go home yet, and so did Jason say. We stood around, watching how the birds flew in the sky. It was a beautiful sight to behold.
"I have a question," I said, and I could see him roll his eyes. "You told Miranda not to come tomorrow, but why?"
After his explanation, I felt relieved and then asked about the company.
"I haven't been there," he said. "I have been here since."
He pointed to the restaurant.
We planned to go somewhere people gathered. It was a place for games, but it gave the vibes of wolves that were fighting.
"What if a riot begins?" I asked and shook my head.
The day was getting darker but I didn't want to go back home.
"Let's find a place to sit," I said.
We sat in a faraway place, observing all that was happening.
"Isn't it nice here?" I asked trying to start a conversation.
Jason didn't respond to me but pulled me to his side.
Minutes later, we left for our house.
It was a little bit long because we didn't come in the car and had to be careful with our steps. Finally, we got home and I went into the house happily.
"Where would you like us to go, tomorrow?" Jason asked.
I didn't know what response to give him, so I went to him, wrapped my hands around his neck, and sat on his lap.
"What if we think of that tomorrow?" I asked.
He looked at me with a smile on his lips. His lips brushed through my ear, making butterflies flatter in my stomach.
