Jason POV
It has been a month since we arrived here. Everything has been going fine. Bella had already gotten used to her waitress job, and although what I was getting could take care of our expenses, Bella chose to support me.
I always spoke to my Beta, Max. We took decisions together, although I wasn't in the pack.
Right now, Bella had gone to work while I was staying home.
"Is anyone home?" I heard.
Miranda, who was cleaning a room came out holding a handkerchief. She opened the door, and a woman's voice sounded. The woman was looking for me.
This is one of the many things that I used to face when I was not in the pack. I try to control the use of my power even when I am angry. For this woman, ever since we've met, she's been looking for a way to get to me. I do not know who told her where I stayed.
"Let her in," I said to Miranda and sent her to continue her duty.
Miss Cruz walked to me and pulled out a chair.
"I want to partner with you," she said.
She has been telling me that she wanted to partner with my company, and when I tried to tell her to pass through the necessary procedure, she refused.
"You are the company's CEO..."
Before she could say anything, I cut in.
"I only come here once a year so I can't take this up," I said. "Moreover, how did you get to know where I live?"
She shook her head and smiled.
After knowing that she silently traced me, I threatened to give her to the cops. She wasn't bored with that, and I knew that she was acquainted with them in some way.
Some minutes later, the woman was pleading for mercy. I had bound her up with the desire to take her outside when I was ready to pick Bella up.
My phone rang and when I looked at it, it was Max. He called to ask me about the place I kept some documents.
After speaking with him, I saw Miranda come out of the room she was cleaning.
My heart became unsettled and I sensed that Bella was in trouble.
"Bella!" I called and got up.
I looked to the side and smiled when I saw the woman who was tied, and then I turned to Miranda.
"Are you done with your work?" I asked
Miranda nodded and I told her to leave. After she had left the house, I looked towards Mrs. Cruz and sighed.
"I would be back soon,"
The woman muffled, but I went out. I closed my eyes and began to think of where Bella was.
"Alright!" I said to myself, knowing that she was with a male werewolf who hadn't been to his pack in ten years. I immediately drove to the place I saw in my vision.
To me, it looked like he was harassing Bella.
He turned to me and ran off when he was my cold gaze.
"What's wrong?" I asked Bella who hugged me.
She didn't hug me because she was sober, no. I sensed that she hugged me just to tell me that she loved me.
I held her hand and we walked to the car.
In the car, I asked why she was out of work.
"I was told to follow him, and he took me to an unfamiliar place. When I tried to escape, he planned to forcefully make me drink alcohol, but you came to stop him."
I nodded and continued driving. I was going to tell her manager not to send her to go with someone.
I placed my hand on her hair and smiled.
Getting to her place of work, I asked to see her manager. A woman came rushing to me, and I knew that she wanted to thank me for allowing her husband and her to enter my car when their car broke down.
After exchanging pleasantries with her, I asked for the manager who presented himself.
I told him everything and Bella explained more. They agreed not to do that again.
"I need to take her home with me," I said.
Bella was about to pull her hand from me but stopped when she met with my gaze.
The manager tried to act funny by telling me that it wasn't time to leave.
"Would you say this if she dies?" I asked and he couldn't reply. "She needs to rest. A day away won't hurt."
I left to my car with Bella.
"You should have spoken normally to the manager," Bella said.
I rolled my eyes at her but didn't say anything. I continued driving.
We entered the house, and the first thing that I showed her was the woman who I bound up. I watched as Bella laughed.
The woman shut an angry glance at Bella.
I asked if I should let her down, and Bella, who had just listened to my explanation, nodded.
"Do not trespass, and if you try involving the cops, then we will take you away with us,"
The woman nodded and we took her out of the house. Bella hugged me and I wondered why she was acting all of a sudden.
"Thank you!" She said.
"For what?"
"For saving me before I use my power on his,"
I smiled at the words she said. It would have been good if she had used it on him. He would understand that she isn't a wolf that he could temper with.
"Anyway, I am happy that you are safe,"
Bella twisted her lips and then smiled.
"Are we spending the rest of the day at home?"
"No, we aren't," I replied.
She asked of Miranda and I told her that I sent her home before coming for her.
"He is a werewolf?" She asked and I knew that she was asking about the person who wanted to kill her.
"Yes, he is but we can call him a human. He has spent more than ten years here," I said.
