I hesitated as I watched them. Did they just go on their knees?
“It's the Silver Wolf!” someone yelled from behind me.
Just then, people started coming out of their huts. Within minutes, a lot of people were standing in front of us. There were very many, like four times all of us.
I wonder why they didn't have a pack territory if they were this much. Perhaps they were forced out of their place like we were.
“Will you leave our territory now?” Dylan yelled.
The five people looked up slightly, but they didn't bother to get up.
“We have been waiting for you,”One of them muttered.
Just then, the rest of the people started to knee one after the other. It was as if they were listening to an inner command.
It went on like it was a ritual until the last person was kneeling down. Everyone was on their knees down, including the ones that just came out of the huts.
I was still confused. I had no idea what was happening.
I looked at Mercury and nodded slightly. She reciprocated and hurried away. She soon returned with a long fur jacket.
I went on my knees as well and morphed back to human.
Mercury covered me quickly and I adjusted myself inside the jacket before I stood up.
“What are you guys doing? I don't need you to worship me. I want you out of my territory!” I snapped at them.
“My name is Diamond,” a thick voice said suddenly, around me, ignoring my remark. He walked closer to me. He was the leader, the one I threw away the other time.
There were bruises on his head as he moved closer but they started to heal up quickly. It was so fast, unlike mere wolves.
“Who are you guys?” I asked.
“We are the Six Trances.”
“Six trances?” I repeated the words as if tasting the sound of it. Then, I remembered them.
The six trances were more like myths because no one actually believed there were people like that. But it's a story about six individuals that were blessed with the power of the silver wolves.
My mother always told me their stories, since they were my direct ancestors.
I started to shake my head. “That's not possible! You can't be them.”
There's no possible way they will be. The six trances were stories from two thousand years ago. Why will they still be here now and like this? They merely look my age.
“And why are you guys kneeling?”
“If this is some kind of a lie, I will kill you all!” Dylan cursed.
The five people that were with Diamond earlier stood up suddenly. Diamond then moved to stand in front of them.
“We will prove it to you that we aren't lying,” he assured and pulled out a necklace from his pocket. The rest also did the same.
Then, they placed the necklace around their necks.
They arched their necks as white flaws started to show on their bodies.
I heard gasps from behind me, but even my mouth was open in agape.
Transformation took place immediately, like butter falling out of its sheath. The necklaces around their necks were suddenly gone as the transformation ended.
“They truly are the six Trance,” Dylan muttered beside me with disbelief.
It was unbelievable that I was meeting my ancestors like this.
Then, they morphed back into humans, and the necklace appeared on their hands.
I moved closer, a smile on my face. “I can't believe I'm finally meeting my ancestors.”
“We are no longer your ancestors, Silver moon. We lost the right over a thousand years ago,” Diamond explained.
I looked at him and noticed how the colours bounced off his face. A minute ago, he had white eyes, but suddenly, it's back to being yellow.
“Yes, “ a woman from their midst chimed in. “That's why we wear a necklace before we transform, she explained, and I looked at her eyes. She had blue eyes. “I'm Sapphire,” she explained.
“We were cursed,” a man said suddenly. “For our punishment we had just one solution. I'm Topaz.”
Topaz had orange eyes. So much for a man.
“And the only way was to find you, Silver. And that's what we have been doing for over a thousand years,” a much younger woman explained. I can say she looks the youngest. “I'm Ruby.”
Ruby, on the other hand, had pinkish-red eyes. It would have been very weird if she had deep red eyes because rogues are the ones with red eyes.
“To accept you as our Alpha,” An older man uttered. He smiled, and his emerald eyes sparkled. “I'm Emerald.”
Wait! What?
I blinked once.
“I don't get it. Accept me as your Alpha? You are my ancestors. Besides, why are you still here?”
An older woman moved forward. She had pink eyes. “I will explain.”
I nodded once. That's what I wanted because everything was confusing.
“We were the first werewolves to be blessed by the silver wolf but we had no idea it was for a purpose. To even think the moon goddess gave us all a special power. Each of us had a power that separated us from the other. We were unstoppable together. So_” she hesitated, as if to allow what she had already said to cool off.
“Yes,” I egged her on.
“We found each other and we decided to take over the world. We almost succeeded until we killed the moon goddess daughter.”
“You killed the moon goddess' daughter? Aren't we all the moon goddess daughters?”
Pearl shook her head briefly. “We killed the Gold wolf.”
My eyes widened with shock. “Do we have the Gold Wolf?”
Pearl nodded once. “So, we were cursed. We couldn't shift anymore unless we use these necklaces,” she explained and raised a necklace that has a wolf as its pendant.
Then I remember they all had to place it around their necks the other time before they could shift.
“Even at that, our powers were stripped off us. That aside, we weren't allowed to die. The only way to atone for our sins was to carry our burden for years, searching for the next silver wolf. The moon goddess promised to send one over but she didn't say when.”
What!
“Also, that was when she said she would not send six silver wolves down anymore. This time, she was going to send just one and that's you.”
When she was done, I was dumbfounded. I could only stare with eyes gone wide and black with shock.
“But that's not all,” Emerald said suddenly, stepping forward beside Pearl. “You will possess all of our powers.”
No way!
