“What the heck is wrong with her?” I yelled, as I tried to fight the tears.
“She's fine. She will be fine,” one of the elders said. I think her name is Pearl.
“Fine? Are you sure about that?” Dylan inquired, his gaze still on Autumn.
The elders, I mean the silver wolves suggested they prepare the bathtub filled with cold water. And Autumn was pushed deep inside.
She wasn't moving even when the elders examined her but she was breathing quite right.
“See?” Dylan said suddenly, pointing over at the bathtub.
I followed his direction and my eyes widened in their socket at the scene I was staring at.
Autumn has shifted in the bathtub and infact, her body couldn't contain the little surrounding so she ended up moving on top of the bathtub, her fur damp and even at that, it was a beautiful sight to hold.
“She tried to shift during dream walking,” Pearl explained.
I stared, dumbfounded. What's dream walking?
“She will be fine, trust me,” Pearl assured.
Dylan moved closer to me. “She said she will be fine. You don't need to cry.”
I nodded once and let him wipe the tears off my eyes.
“Come, let's step out for a few minutes,” he suggested and led me out of the room.
Just as we stepped out of the room, a wave of breeze hit me and I started to feel more relaxed.
We sat at the corridor and stared at nothing in particular.
“Are you alright?”
I nodded several times. “I'm fine.”
Dylan looked at me for a moment. “I mean you were nowhere to be found this morning.”
He noticed?
“I_” I released a sigh as I thought of what to say. “I wanted to clear my head.”
“So, you stepped out?”
I nodded quickly. How did he even know that?
He looked away. “Where did you go?”
Is this an interrogation?
I swallowed harder. “I just stepped out. I was within the vicinity.”
Dylan shook his head briefly. “You went to Xavier's territory. You went to Ocean Howwl pack.”
I was taken aback. How did he know that?
“I saw a twig behind your shoe when I stepped inside the other time. It was a tree that grows only at Xavier's garden,” he explained.
I released a sigh. “You are right. I went to see Rick,” I confessed.
Dylan seemed angry at the words. “What! Are you trying to betray us?”
I turned to him.
“Heck no! I just wanted to see him from afar. I_” I swallowed hard on the lump that was suddenly in my throat. “I miss him.”
He furrowed his brows as he watched me, as if he couldn't quite comprehend what I was saying. Maybe I should just tell him the truth, that Rick was infact my mate.
I haven't been feeling at all good after the rejection. It hurts and I really understand how much Autumn hurt knowing she was supposed to reject her mate and kill him.
But then I couldn't handle the pain. So, I had to see him again and use the opportunity to see the situation of things.
“He_” I started.
“She's awake!” A voice yelled suddenly, pulling me into a sudden stop.
I and Dylan got up and rushed inside.
“The Alpha is awake!”
“Is that true? My daughter is awake?” Autumn’s mother inquired behind us.
We stepped inside together and she rushed to her sides.
Autumn had morphed back into human but she was stark naked now, only protected by a towel that Pearl must have placed on her body.
“What happened to me?” Autumn asked, shocked and confused.
“You fainted,” I said quickly.
Autumn looked up at me as if trying to remember the incident. Then, she slowly shook her head.
“No, that's not what happened. I was_” she swallowed harder. “_back_” she hesitated, as if thinking about it. “_at the forest.”
“Who did you see?”
“I_” she looked away. “But he saw me!” She looked up again. “How is that possible?”
Pearl smiled. “You just dream walked.”
“Dream walk? What's that?”
“it's the ability to enter someone dream.”
What! That doesn't even make any sense.
“I don't understand. Everything looked so rwal and he saw me! Wait, he was able to see me because i entered his dream?”
Pearl nodded once. “Only the owner of the dream can see you. It's one of the power of the Silver wolf,” she explained further.
The silver wolf seems to have a lot of powers. Apparently that's why it's so feared among the werewolves.
“I cant believe you got another power of the silver wolf,” Autumn mom muttered.
“Like I said the other day, the Alpha is going to posses all the six powers of the silver wolf,” Pearl explained.
My eyes widened with shock. Six powers? This pack would become untouchable. We would be like Xavier and Rowan. We would have a lot of other packs under us.
“The dreams_” Autumn started. “Is it a normal one? Or does it have a meaning?”
Pearl hesitated.
Autumn looked up at her. “Why are you not talking? Tell me everything I need to know.”
“Dream walking is complicated but it's infact closely related to Precognition.”
I groaned. Here we go again.
“What's Precognition?” It's Dylan that asked.
Pearl looked at Dylan. “It's seeing the future,” she responded and turned to Autumn again. “Most of the dreams you can walk into are the future.”
I saw horror flashed across Autumn’s eyes. I wonder who she had seen in her dream.
“Somehow with dream walking, you will start seeing the future too. Its closely related. That's why Diamond and Ruby are so close. Diamond dream walking while Ruby sees the future.”
“Alpha, whose dream did you walk into?” Dylan asked.
“Yes, tell us. Who did you see?” Autumn mom chimed in.
Autumn seemed lost for a moment, then she looked up at us. “Xavier.”
No way!
“Xavier and Brown were being chased by soldiers. Xavier was injured and I couldn't see Rick,” she explained and looked at me.
No way! Does that mean Rick was going to die?
My heart hammered wildly in my chest at this.
