Autumn
I was led inside my room.
I had no idea what had happened a few minutes ago. It all happened in a rush. Firstly, it was a wolf trying to see if I was Gwen, then the Alpha King saying he was going to mark me.
But he didn't _
Why?
I had no idea why he changed his mind.
Even though I was in a hurry, I was a bit happy. I mean I could unlock my wolf with it.
King Xavier doesn't know he just had to mark me and I would be so strong for him to handle.
But this_ might take away the only chance I have to organize. Damn! Everything is gone!
I didn't know whether to sob or not. I mean that wouldn't change anything.
The door opened suddenly and my heart switched in my heart.
“Autumn,” Rick called out.
I released a sigh I didn't know I was holding, maybe it was because I thought it was initially Xavier.
I turned to look at him. “What just happened? Is the King taking away my power as an organizer?”
“Is that what you are worried about?” Rick was slightly offended, which was new.
I don't even know what to be worried about. It doesn't even look like I have any chance of escaping, except Xavier unlocks my wolf.
Which was close to a possibility just a few minutes ago but now, I think it might never happen.
“Someone is trying to find out if you are the true Luna. That is a huge problem even for the Alpha King,” Rick explained.
I sighed. Now, the Alpha will probably hate me more. But that doesn't bother me because it doesn't matter what I do, the Alpha will never see me as an innocent one.
“My parents didn't kidnap the Luna. The person who did is probably the one trying to check who I really am,” I tried to explain.
Rick huffed. “If they really kidnap the Luna, they wouldn't try to check on you.”
“Well,” I shrugged slightly. “Maybe because they got confused. I got confused too.”
Rick regarded me for a moment. “Better don't plan on telling the Alpha this. You will only anger him the more,” he finished and started towards the door. He stopped slightly and turned to look at me again. “Anyways, you are still the organizer. You just have to be extra careful and you will always have two maids with you wherever you go. I've selected two of our trusted maids,” he finished and stepped out.
I released another exasperated sigh. I moved to the lampstand and withdrew the book there. I opened it to the middle and stared hard at the note in it.
The fact that my father isn't part of this evil ploy is glaringly clear. I just need to find more. Then, I will present this evidence and then, maybe I can clear my parents.
That is my plan B since making the Alpha unlock my wolf is never going to work.
And I have a way to make that possible. All I have to do is to make all the maids write so I can check if it tallies with the handwriting on the note.
I stepped out of my room and truly, two ladies were standing in front of the door.
They turned to look at me at the same time.
“Is there something you want?” One of them asked.
I nodded once. “We are going to the kitchen now. Lead the way.”
Thankfully, I was able to bring some baking powder and some colouring too.
We walked for a few minutes and eventually entered the kitchen. The maids were going here and there when we did, but they stopped suddenly when I stepped inside.
They turned to look at me and bowed respectfully.
“I need all the chefs at one side,” I ordered.
They complied immediately and people with completely different attire set aside.
One of the chefs stepped closer to me. She bowed slightly. “I am the head chef, Luna.”
I nodded once. “And what's the name?”
“Anatasia, Luna.”
I nodded once and took a step forward. “We will be baking some cakes for tomorrow's occasion,” I started. “I would like us to bake some chocolate, and strawberry cakes. And well, some cupcakes included,” I smiled as I thought about this.
I've always enjoyed doing something like this.
Anastasia looked at me, with shock. “We?” She emphasized the word.
I nodded once. “Yes. I'm baking with you. And I think we should get down to work now.”
Anastasia signaled to some of the chefs and they moved away, perhaps to get ready.
Anastasia looked at me. “Where should we start from? You can just give orders and we will do everything you want.”
“Well,” I hesitated briefly. “Get me some pens and books because we will be writing down some stuff.”
Anastasia bowed slightly and moved closer to another cook.
Within a few minutes, everyone was ready, including the ingredients and the machines we were using.
I turned to look at Anastasia. “I will need a few hands to help me. We will divide the work. Whoever isn't working will help us with the writing. And well, there will always be a switch and you are all to write the first letter of your name whenever you take a switch, on top of your writing so that whoever makes mistakes will be the one punished.”
The cooks groaned inwardly.
“But what are we writing?”
“Ingredients and all the ways we've prepared the cakes. I'm giving it to my mum because my recipe is one in a million.”
Anastasia smiled softly. “That means we can be able to learn it too and even make it for you later on.”
I reciprocated her smile. “Exactly! That's what my intention is. So, let's get straight to it!” I announced with enthusiasm.
It was late in the night when I retired to my room with my maids. I was so excited and tired from baking but I enjoyed the whole process.
One of my maids was clutching all the writings to her chest as if her whole life depended on it.
Well, technically, it does.
And well, I succeeded in making everyone in the kitchen write. There was a time, only two of them were too busy to write. I had to order them to drop what they were doing and let others partake in it while they went to write.
And finally, my mission was accomplished.
“Is there anything else you need?” One of the maids asked suddenly, pulling me out of my thoughts. The notes aren't with her again and I discovered she has placed them on the bed stand.
“That will be all for now,” I assured them.
They bowed slightly and stepped out of the room.
I rushed to the lampstand, withdrew the note my father had given me, and moved to the bed stand.
I could hardly breathe. I was anxious as I picked the notes and started comparing the handwriting.
The door creaked open suddenly and my heart jolted uncontrollably in my chest.
I glanced down at the notes, at the mess I had made already and the fact that it could be messier if someone like Xavier or even Rick found out about the notes sooner.
