Xavier
“Xavier!” Rick called from behind with fear.
I ignored him and dropped Autumn to the bed. I rushed to cover her with a blanket because she was naked.
Rick rushed to stand beside me. “What did you do to her?”
I regarded Autumn for a moment. I can say I was really annoyed she told someone about her without informing me but me wanting to kill her?
That's not possible. Not now anyways.
“Inform Rose. We need to carry out the plan now.”
Rick was still confused. “What are you talking about? Are you sure she's still breathing? I thought we were going to talk it through before we proceed,” he sounded annoyed as well.
“There's nothing more to discuss,” I muttered and looked at him. “Elixir is the person we have been looking for all this while. And to top it off, Autumn already told her about everything.”
His eyes widened with shock. “Are you for real?”
“It's why our plans aren't working. And that's why plan B has to happen now because we don't know who Elixir works for and what they are currently planning. So, inform Rose immediately.”
Rick smiled softly, bowed slightly, and rushed out of the room.
I regarded Autumn for another moment and slowly traced a line on her face. What Autumn didn't know was that I started pretending a few minutes ago after I heard the truth about Elixir.
Even though I knew I wasn't supposed to get so angry. Autumn cleared everything for me. But then, it was necessary. I needed to be angry for this plan to go well.
While I was holding and maybe squeezing her neck, I injected her with poison.
Now, she has just three hours to stay dead.
I bent slightly and moved my mouth to her ear. “Wait for me, Autumn. Just three hours. I will be there for you!” I muttered and moved out of the room.
As usual, many maids and guards were standing in front of my room. And I needed to get them out of here so that Rick and Rose could carry out their work.
I turn to Peter. “Send a message to Alpha Philip. Tell him I need to see him in this instance.”
Peter bowed slightly and hurried away.
“The rest should follow me. Only two ladies should stay behind.”
The maids nodded in response and stayed back. I've taken two steps when I remember something.
“No one is allowed to disturb the Luna as she's in a deep slumber,” I ordered.
The maids bowed again and I eventually walked along the hallway. We walked for a moment, with my fist clenched beside me.
I have to do this as fast as possible. Though, the anger I feel in me is enough to boil eggs but no, I still have to be careful.
Everything must go according to plan. There's no plan for failure.
I stepped inside my meeting room and walked to grab the map. I spread it on the table and looked for a shortcut. There must be a way to get to the Magic town very fast. I need it in case of an emergency.
Peter walked inside suddenly. “Alpha Philip isn't in town now.” He announced.
I didn't reply at first as I let my gaze continue to search into the map. “Send for Augustine!” I said suddenly and looked up at him. “And send in three guards!” My voice was deep and maybe cold.
It was still according to plan. I must stay angry to avoid failure.
Peter bowed and rushed out again.
I saw one finally and a smile evaded my face. Less than three hours remaining.
Three guards rushed inside and bowed.
I left my desk and walked towards them slowly.
“Send a message to Rose. The traitors die by poison and I want it to happen now. I want to oversee the whole event,” I ordered.
The men exchanged confused gazes, wondering.
“My king, who?”
I hesitated briefly. “Anthony and his wife.”
The men made a bow and finally walked out of the room.
2 hours and thirty minutes remaining.
Now, I have to wait for Rick to be done.
Damn! He needs to be before the guards get to Rose.
My fist clenched even tighter as I tried to concentrate on something. Anything, something that would stop me from thinking too hard about the issue on the ground.
Somehow, I knew Autumn was hiding something from me. I knew there was a lot she wasn't telling me.
So, I made a plan with Rick. And I was waiting for the opportunity to execute it. Rick advised me against it because it was very dangerous.
A slight mistake and I will lose everything. If Autumn dies for real, I will lose everything. I will probably see the dead Gwen too.
The major reason why I haven't found Gwen was because of Autumn.
It actually took me a longer time to realise it. Whoever had kidnapped Gwen wouldn't have expected there was someone that looked like her.
At first, he or she could think perhaps he even kidnapped the wrong Gwen.
But since we already had someone snitching on us. It was the best to make ourselves the real Gwen.
The door opened suddenly, jerking me out of my thoughts. I looked up at Rick and a sigh escaped my throat.
“How is it?”
I was frightened on one side. We didn't have the time to make it a clean plan. No, it had to happen immediately. There was no telling how much Elixir or whoever she's working for knows.
“It went well,” he said with a soft smile.
I released a sigh of relief. “Good!”
He moved closer and stretched out a bottle of something in green. “It's the antidote. Rose is already waiting with the fake poison as well.”
I nodded once. “Good. Did Elixir check the corpse?”
Rick nodded. “I sent the maids on an errand and hid. She did show up and entered the room. I'm sure she checked if she was truly dead or not.”
Elixir was truly the spy.
“Ok. Tell the men to dispose of her corpse at the Magic town.”
Rick bowed slightly and walked out again.
Like Rick had told me. I am the Alpha King. I shouldn't be played by these people. I should play them instead.
Rose should be done by now. Anthony and his wife need to drink the poison before I leave for the Magic town.
I barely took a step forward when the door opened again and Augustine walked inside.
What the…how is he so close by?
