                    I was dumbfounded.
What!
‘No! I'm not your mate! Alpha and I will never be!’ came to my lips but I bit it back in.
Not with everything I've been through at his hands. I just want to be alone. I can't stand the Alpha’s anger and his hatred for me.
Instead, I said. “What if I reject it?”
Even though I've always been so weak because he's my mate. Well, I can still decide to continue living. If I can stay far away from him, I won't be affected by the mate bond.
No, I need to reject him.
A dark frown on his face but it didn't look like he was going to attack me like he used to. “I will let you go. I'm not going to force you this time, Autumn,” he said softly.
Though I wonder why he's not doing that. He has always been forcing me against my wish.
“Besides, Rick overheard while you were discussing with your parents. You needed your mate. Why?”
I was tongue-tied for some minutes. What!
“It doesn't even matter,” he said quickly. “I don't want to know. Let's strike a deal. You need me, I need you.”
He's right. I need him. I've always needed him. The only reason why I need him so badly is because of my silver wolf. Though I seriously wanted to hate him, I couldn't. Because of the mate bond and the fact that I have always thought he could help me unlock my wolf.
If I was powerful, I would have rejected him a long time ago and freed myself from this slave in mate bond form
“So, what do you say?” He asked suddenly, jerking me out of my thoughts.
But he talks as if he's not forcing me. He has my parents and my pack members in his packhouse, yet he says he's not forcing me.
Would he release them if I said no? I doubt it.
King Xavier is nothing but the devil. But then, he will be unlocking my wolf. He doesn't know what he will be getting himself into.
“Can I ask a question, Alpha Xavier?”
A smile graced his lips slightly. “Ok.”
I released several breaths to calm down. The Alpha needs me now, he wouldn't hurt me yet.
“This contract expires the moment you find Gwen, right?”
He nodded once. “It expires immediately. I will let you go as well as your parents and your pack members,” he promised.
Good because I’m going to reject you after everything is over.
“And you will not attack my father or my pack.”
“Fine by me,” he agreed.
That was just a ploy.
Alpha Xavier is so powerful. My father has always lived in fear of him. Even if we moved away, he would always oppress him.
Aside from that, he has to pay for all of my pack members that he killed.
I will make Alpha Xavier pay.
“I will give my body to you then,” I muttered. I stood up slowly and reached for the buttons on my chest.
He regarded me for a moment and I wondered what was going through his head.
Then he stood up as well, covering me over and making me look small again. He hurriedly put off the coat he was wearing and kissed me. It felt like he couldn't wait.
I have always loved to be touched by him, to be fucked by him, but now, I feel none. The only thing I feel is the mate bond kicking in.
But then, the hatred in my heart seemed to be attacking it. It made it even more difficult for me.
I felt torn, but I knew I had to keep going.
I closed my eyes as I remembered the nightmare, just as Xavier's hand moved alongside the lines of my body.
My body shuddered uncontrollably. I want him suddenly; my skin clawed with the need for him.
But then, I wanted to remember the dream.
Xavier's fang went deep into my skin suddenly, and a loud cry escaped me. But then, it felt like my soul was drifting away, towards the dream I had earlier.
I woke up suddenly to the loud chanting of a woman. I opened my eyes, and I was in a weird room.
At first, it felt like I was the only one, but when I adjusted my eyes, I saw someone standing far away at the altar.
I sat up, and my gaze searched around me for a moment. The only question that entered my mind was, ‘Where was I?’
“Autumn.”
That voice sounded exactly like mine.
When I looked up, a figure was suddenly close, staring right at me. The shocking thing was that she looked like me.
Fear gripped me and my heartbeat accelerated.
“Who are you?”
The figure smiled weirdly. “I'm you, Autumn and you are mine. See, you are dead,” the voice muttered. “But then, the moon goddess has decided to take you back,” the voice explained.
I was shocked. I could only stare with eyes gone gobsmacked.
“Who are you?”
She smiled softly. “Call me Aurora.”
I nodded several times as fear entered my features. “What am I doing here?”
“Your bloodline is so powerful. You are not only the silver wolf. You are two in one. You are also a witch, a powerful one at that. Xavier's father thought he had killed all the witches, but he didn't know the one he spared would cause great havoc,” she said suddenly from behind me. She was suddenly sitting on the bed beside me.
I didn't quite understand her.
“My mother is a witch. No. My father said she had no power.”
“Yes, she had no power. She was the known powerless witch.”
I nodded once. “But why did Xavier's father decide to kill the witches? I thought the witches were supposed to coexist with the werewolves?”
“Very well,” she smiled again.
I think she enjoys smiling a lot.
“Xavier's father heard the prophecy. A powerful witch will be born. She will be the one to clear his pack off the earth. To prevent this, he decided to frame them and kill them. He spared one anyway, just one. Your mother.”
Her words were making sense.
But then the realization hits me.
“Are you saying I am destined to wipe out Xavier's pack?”
She didn't answer. Instead, she was suddenly gone.
“You will answer that question yourself!” She said but I couldn't see her again. I only heard voices.
And that was how I woke up, with a new mindset.
