There were grunts and groans from the background as I kissed Autumn. She seemed frozen for a minute. But she didn't hesitate.
For no reason, I enjoyed it. She felt soft, soft, and she tasted good. Who am I kidding? Autumn was sweet.
The only thing I have never done and wish I could do was taste her under there.
Damn! I know she would taste even more juicy.
Suddenly, soft hands went between our chests, chests, and she pushed so hard.
Anger registered on her face as she looked up at me. She has never been so angry. No, I've never seen her look so angry.
“What the heck are you doing?” she yelled.
I mentally turned around and realised the Alphas were gone. Good grief!
I smirked. “Don't tell me you didn't want that as well..”
She stared for a moment, as if she couldn't believe what I was talking about. “Damn you, Alpha!”
“How dare you!” Rick yelled from behind me,me, and I heard the movement of his legs.
I raised a hand quickly to stop him. He complied immediately.
“Well, I had to do it so that the Alphas could leave. I didn't mean that,” I said honestly.
“Then the least you can do is have dignity and ask for my permission. I'm not yours to take as you wish. The earlier you realiserealise that, the better for you!” She finished and walked away.
I watched her until she was out of the hall. For a moment, it was as if I didn't understand her.
Autumn used to shudder at my touch. She still does anyway. I mean, we are mates, and we are mated.
But now she seemed strange.
“Autumn is growing wings, Alpha. You should do something about it.”
I waved it off. “It's nothing.”
Rick groaned, not satisfied by my response.
“I'm looking for my mate, Rick. I have no time to do shit with someone I'm going to reject after I find her. I appreciate the fact that she has moved on, though.”
I sincerely do. I think I might have an issue with it. Not even now that I felt pity for all I’ve done to Autumn. There's no way I would be able to reject her. I wouldn't want to hurt her feelings.
But I'm so glad she has moved on.
“The Alphas are really trying something. I'm forced to admit that some of them definitely know something. The Hunt festival is in a week, and no one is talking about it. The only thing they are after is Gwen.”
“That's right,” Rick supported me.”Something is wrong somewhere.”
“It looks like one of them knows the truth. What if one of the Alphas actually kidnapped Gwen?”
It was what Autumn said. Even though it looked absurd at first, I can't help but think about it now.
Rick started to shake his head. “That's not possible. Would they intentionally be trying to make us go to war?”
I released a sigh and moved closer to him. I wish I knew the answer.
“Alpha!” Someone yelled. The door opened, and one of my men walked inside. He bowed.
Rick and I stared at him, but Rick was the one that spoke.
“Yes, what's it?”
“The Luna rode out of the palace without an escort.”
What?
“Without her maids? Did she say anything about where she was going?”
He hesitated briefly. “Nothing Alpha. She's just_,” he stopped almost immediately, as if scared.
“She's what?” I probed further.
“You better talk!” Rick snapped.
The guard went on his knees. “The scent,” he muttered.
I caught it quickly and rushed out of the hall. Though, I cursed silently. It wasn't the right time for Autumn to go on heat!
I rushed out of the palace and hopped on one of the horses. Before I rode out, I sighted Rick making his way out of the palace as well.
Well, I'm faster.
I kicked the horse to go faster.
“Autumn!” I called out as I rode but received no response.
The only thing I noticed and was grateful for was the horse trail. So, I followed it.
The horses' trail abruptly changed. It appeared that Autumn was heading towards the Magic Town.
Good! It will make things easier for me!
I kicked the horse even harder to get it to move faster. I hope she stayed in the hut, though.
As I approached the house, I noticed a horse standing in front of it.
I breathed a sigh of relief, got off the horse, and dashed into the house.
The familiar scent overwhelmed me almost immediately, drowning me.
My eyes darted around, looking for Autumn. When I walked in, she was going through the drawers but paused to look at me.
She got up suddenly. “What are you doing to me?”
That had to be the funniest question I would hear this month. But I do not blame her. Apparently, this is her first time experiencing heat.
I just wonder why she has to go so quick.
I moved closer slowly. “I didn't do anything.“
Her expression drastically changed. She looked at me for a moment. “Don't come nearer!” She yelled. “Or I will kill you!” She threatened and grabbed a plate from the table.
“Calm down, Autumn. Will you let me explain?”
She suddenly held her hand across her face, as if dizzy. I took advantage of the opportunity to reach her and take the plate from her, despite the fact that it was not even considered a weapon.
She shuddered under my touch, indicating that she was already responding.
“What is happening to me?” She spoke softly, considering how harsh she had sounded earlier in the hall.
“You are on heat.”
She suddenly burst out laughing. “You must be kidding?”
“I don't kid, Autumn.”
She shuddered again, as if she couldn't resist anything about me.
“Let me go!” She yelled suddenly.
It was as though she had two souls. One is submissive, while the other is rebellious.
“Well, not a chance! I'm taking you back to the palace!”
I didn't wait for her to reply. I struck her lightly on the neck and watched her go unconscious.
But instead of carrying her out of the house, I held back and watched her.
Despite the fact that she was the one on heat, I felt drawn to her.
Her scent wrapped around me, and a groan escaped my lips.
She was a fertile female in heat—and she was mine!
