I will miss you all," Gwen said while embracing the pack members individually.
To Baron, Gwen said, "You are probably going to get bored now that Ian, Jacob, and I will not be troubling you. My dearest brother, I hope you find your mate soon."
"Don't worry about him, Gwen," George said. "Now that you are in good hands, I will give him the responsibility of being an alpha soon. That will keep him busy, but yes, he needs to find his mate."
"Mom, Dad," Gwen embraced her parents at the same time. "Thank you for everything."
"What in the world are you saying goodbye for? It's not the last time we will see each other. Did you forget you will have a formal wedding, and we will see you soon," Juliet declared.
"That's right! I want to see how Theo will give you justice in your wedding," George said before he gazed at Theo. "Mind you, Theo, my expectations are high."
Caroline was the first to laugh. She reacted, "I will be helping arrange the wedding, Alpha George." She bowed and added, "Again, thank you so much for your forgiveness and acceptance."
Since Caroline became Jacob's mate and asked for Gwen's forgiveness, Juliet and George expressed their acceptance towards Theo's sister. This was especially noticeable when Caroline offered to help train some of the warriors of the Lilac Pack.
Yes, Lilac Pack. They were now officially called The Lilac Pack. However, in their hearts, they will always be the Purple-Eyed Pack.
"But you know who we will miss the most?" Baron suddenly said. "It's the little punk named Ian!"
The surrounding pack members laughed at Baron's declaration. Ian laughed his heart out. He ran to Baron and threw himself at his uncle. While Baron carried the pup's frame, Ian said, "I'm going to miss you, Uncle. I promise we are going to visit as often as we can."
Aside from Ian and Gwen, Jacob said goodbye to his co-warriors. He was returning to Port Leon with Gwen, which was one thing that comforted her; having a friend with her as she faced a new life ahead.
The next day, Gwen and Theo's party left for Northern Alfar. On the plane, Theo gave Gwen an update on what transpired during the recent meetings he had with the two kings.
"King Arthur wants me to take over the Ironwood Pack, Madlock's Pack. I'm afraid I must go there a day after we settle back in Port Leon," Theo revealed. "It's natural for them to question my authority, so I must exert my sovereignty. When the matters of the Ironwood Pack are settled, Port Leon's elders will hold a hearing for Madison and her family -"
"And in between, Jacob and I will help prepare for your wedding," Caroline said. She was seated across from Theo and Gwen in the private jet. "And don't worry. We will try to make it happen in a month because we both know that pup will grow really fast!"
"You know, I never really expected that Jacob would one day help plan my wedding," Theo muttered, and Jacob growled in his seat.
They all laughed, including Theo's warriors. Only Ian looked puzzled because he had never really seen his Uncle Jacob as his father's love rival in the past. Ian asked, "What's so funny?"
Upon their arrival in Port Leon, they were met with a feast. They celebrated Theo's return, his successful operation in Gwen's pack, and the good news.
"Everyone listen up!" Theo voiced and mindlinked to his people at the same time. "I have an announcement to make."
Most of the pack members were gathered in the community grounds. The people gave their full attention as Theo walked into the center, taking Gwen and Ian with him.
"The Moon Goddess granted me a miracle. I thought that I would never have a child, that no one will ever carry the Erhart's name again, but it was the Moon Goddess' will that I have children only with my fated mate, and that is Gwen," Theo began. "Thinking about the past and now, I finally understand why the Moon Goddess gave me Gwen as my mate."
Their ultimate goal was to keep Gwen's blood-healing ability a secret. So they would forever maintain the story that her pregnancy was a miracle from the Moon Goddess.
"I wished Lucius had never happened to our pack, but I also won't deny that it was a way for me to meet Gwen. Fast-forward to today. I now have a great son, who is strong and talented, an alpha heir who will carry the Erhart's name," Theo began.
He put his arm around Gwen. After that, Theo resumed, "It is with great joy that I announce that the Moon Goddess gave us another miracle, and who knows, she might grant me more in the years to come -"
"What is it? I have a feeling as to what it is, but I want to hear it from you!" Catherine Erhart said. Her eyes were already gleaming as she rose from her seat.
The elders and the pack members began to echo the same. "What's the surprise, Alpha?"
"Your luna, Gwen, is pregnant with another alpha heir!" Theo announced, and everyone applauded. Howls, claps, and screams of joy lingered in the air for a good minute.
"Maybe it's a girl this time!"
"Congratulations, Luna Gwen and Alpha Theo!"
"Congratulations to Ian for being a big brother now!"
Surprisingly, one of the elders, Odessa, who had previously opposed Gwen, said, "Gwen is truly the miracle that our pack needed." She smiled at Gwen and added, "Thank you for accepting us, Port Leon, despite the wrongs we have done against you. You are truly pure-hearted, Gwen."
"Thank you, Luna Gwen," many pack members echoed.
Gwen believed they had moved beyond the need for apologies. Yet, to her surprise, Elder Farkas expressed, "Luna Gwen, not everyone is present today, but please know that in our hearts, we all seek your genuine forgiveness. Some families in Port Leon have prepared something for you."
Gwen immediately recognized the first group. Representing them was a teenage boy who once threw an egg at her during a medical mission. He said, "Luna Gwen, pardon us for hurting you in the past. We thank the Moon Goddess for blessing us with a kind-hearted luna, who is compassionate and a miracle doctor. We offer you this simple gift, and we hope your acceptance symbolizes your forgiveness."
It was a blanket featuring the identical symbol of Theo and Gwen's mark sewn into the material. Gwen held it, and she was touched. Tears quickly brimmed in Gwen's eyes as she said, "Of course. Thank you very much."
The succeeding family belonged to one of Madison's group of friends. This astounded Gwen, but to her amazement, the same group offered Gwen one of their family artifacts. All the same, they had formally asked for Gwen's forgiveness, and she willingly granted it.
Soon, Gwen was showered with gifts. The elders especially gave very luxurious presents such as pieces of jewelry and even properties. Some offerings were not in the form of presents but a promise. Brody and his group of warriors circled around Theo, Ian, and Gwen. In unison, they swore, "Luna Gwen, forgive us for failing you in the past, but from now on, we pledge our loyalty, strength, and devotion to you, our alpha, and your future heirs."
The last to speak was definitely not the least, for it was Catherine who approached. Theo's mother had a smile on her face. Tears had already welled up in her eyes as she removed the ring on her finger. Catherine said, "Gwen, your forgiveness has lifted a great weight from our hearts, and we thank you for it. We will treasure the compassion you've extended to us. No one deserves this ring but you. This has been passed down from Theo's grandmother to me, and now to you. Only an Erhart luna can carry this treasured heirloom."
However, instead of giving it to Gwen, Catherine handed it to Theo. Just as Theo accepted the ring, he faced Gwen and kneeled on one knee, shocking her completely.
Theo held Gwen's hand. Looking at her purple eyes, he said, "Gwen, my mate. Thank you for giving me another chance to prove my love and worth. No amount of words could explain the happiness I feel of having you back in my life. Will you marry me again and be my mate forever?"
