“Oh, come on, Alpha Theo, it’s no secret who I am and what I do. Everyone knows I like women. Isn’t it the reason why I was invited here? And isn’t it why King Alexander introduced me to your wife?” King Theron said confidently. “So, let me ask you again, how much do you want for your wife? I’d like to add her to my collection of mistresses -”
A loud growl left Theo’s lips. His body expanded in anger, and his eyes blazed. He reacted, “My wife is my fated mate! She is not for sale!”
“King Theron, you are mistaken.” Alexander got up and explained, “Luna Gwen will participate in our discussion because she has great knowledge about the poisons circulated in our nations. My brother informed you that one of our goals is to eliminate this growing threat. We did not invite you here to add more women to your harem!”
King Theron’s eyes narrowed at Theo. He glanced back at Gwen before responding, “What a shame. Okay, then, how about lending me your wife for one week? Let me have fun with her, and I’ll give you twenty thousand grams of gold -”
“You have crossed the line, King Theron!” Arthur exclaimed.
“Well, King Arthur, in my experience, everyone has a price,” King Theron proudly declared. “I happen to have all the gold in the world.”
Another growl left Theo’s lips. His body moved on its own, and he quickly found himself standing before King Theron. Theo snarled, “Even if you are a king, you are not allowed to disrespect me or my wife! What gives you the right to be called king?”
“I always get what I want,” King Theron claimed, letting out his strong alpha aura, making it hard for Theo to breathe.
Theo didn’t give in. He stood his ground and released his own alpha aura, not caring that he was up against another werewolf king!
“King Theron,” Gwen spoke firmly. “We don’t want any trouble here. To be clear, I will not come with you. I love my husband and my family. No amount of gold can sway me to become one of your mistresses.”
“If you insist on this, Theron, you will go against me!” King Alexander declared.
“And me!” King Arthur added.
King Theron’s eyes formed slits. He asked the Hazma brothers, “Are you saying you are willing to declare war against me?”
“If that’s what it takes, we will!” King Alexander raised.
King Theron glared at Theo again, but at that point, the Hazma kings had also unleashed their alpha aura.
Theo felt it. King Alexander and King Arthur’s powers seemed to shield him from King Theron’s powerful energy.
As if the tension wasn’t already high, King Theron’s royal guards surrounded their table. However, he was just one king amongst those who were present. Warriors from the Northern and Southern Alfar swiftly formed an additional barricade around them!
The unease around them lasted for almost a minute until King Theron surrendered. He scanned his surroundings and said, “Well, I suppose I can’t have it all.”
King Theron directed his gaze to his royal guards and commanded, “We are leaving now!”
With one glance at King Arthur and Alexander, Theron declared, “I am not interested in cooperating with you. My country is fully under control. Besides, we have enough potions to deal with the rising of poisons. And isn’t it that the culprit came from Northern Alfar? Soon enough, this threat will be gone.”
The king of New Arcadia left without saying another word, his underlings following him. This created such an unsettling atmosphere that even the nearby tables remained silent in shock.
“I told you, Alexander, we shouldn’t have invited that man,” Arthur grumbled.
“It’s just that our investigation leads to New Arcadia. Hazel and Madlock may be gone, but the threat is still there,” Alexander answered. “Which means someone else is still running the show, and he or she is in New Arcadia.”
“It’s okay, King Arthur,” Orion said. “At least we tried and know now that the New Arcadia king is hopeless.”
“At least we tried, and for as long as King Theron does not cause trouble for us, we won’t retort,” King Arthur declared.
“Theo, sit with us,” Alexander requested. He turned to Gwen, adding, “We apologize for how this turned out, but know that we will never forsake you.”
It took everything in Theo to soothe his anger. Only after Gwen held his hand did he manage to cool off. They both found their seats, along with Beta Ivor.
“Now, where were we?” King Arthur began.

King Theron of New Arcadia had become bored with his collection of women, so when the invitation to visit Northern Alfar arrived, he saw it as an opportunity.
King Theron did not bother reading the reasons for the invitation. All he wanted to do was to meet fresh faces. When Theron and his men arrived in Drad City, Northern Alfar’s capital, he dressed down, wearing a hood over his head, and walked around the city and castle. He did not find anything or anyone interesting until he bumped into a lady with golden hair and purple eyes along Dradhold Castle’s hallway.
“We are sorry, we were in a hurry,” the lady said while rushing after a young boy.
The woman’s lilac scent captivated his attention, all the more after seeing her unique purple eyes.
Later that evening, he met the same woman again.
Gwen. Her name was Gwen.
Apparently, she was someone else’s wife, and she was important to King Arthur! The worst part was how she was already a mother of two!
During the entire New Moon Rite ceremony, King Theron had his eyes on Gwen. She had a very delicate face and slender body. Her smile was exquisite, and her eyes gleamed throughout the gathering.
It did not take long for King Theron to imagine Gwen beneath him, and his sex throbbed under his pants. Lecherous images of him destroying this woman played in his head, and thus, he knew he had to take her.
Theron did not care if Gwen was married. He had always gotten every woman he wanted.
Besides, King Theron’s beauty was not something to undermine. He had encountered women who were already mated and refused him initially, but eventually, they would all want him in the end. Thus, when Gwen was introduced to him, he did not hesitate to offer a price.
“She is not for sale!” Alpha Theo’s defiance shocked Theron completely, especially since he offered a very high price to have Gwen!
To his dismay, the Hazma brothers opposed him too. He wouldn’t declare war against them, no, not when he was in their lands. So, regretfully, he gave up on the thought of Gwen. At least… for now.
It was nighttime. Leaving Northern Alfar was inconvenient, but he was no longer interested in staying in Drad City. King Theron gathered all his men to leave. They made it to the airport and into his private jet, but the moment he settled in his leather seat, white smoke sizzled in the air.
A bright light spiraled before him, and in the blink of an eye, a witch appeared before him.
It wasn’t just any witch but his opponent and the most powerful enchantress in New Arcadia.
Victoria Ashford.
“King Theron, I see you are interested in Gweneth Allard.” An evil grin formed on Victoria’s face. She said, “It just happened that we have the same interest. Instead of being enemies, how about we work together?”
“With your wealth and my magic combined, we can do anything,” the witch said, laughing sinisterly. “What do you say?”
