                    ~ Theo ~
Six years had passed.
"Attack!" Theo commanded! His warriors ran into the rogue camp. As he stood on top of a cliff, he watched as his men shifted into their wolf forms and engaged in a fight.
Yes, six years had gone by. Over the years, Theo had conquered three other packs that tried to take over Port Leon. Aside from that, he had to battle against rogues.
Port Leon remained one of the wealthiest packs in the nation. They continued to be the center of envy amongst neighboring lands and rogue groups. Because of this, Theo strengthened his pack's training and alliances.
He had formed the strongest warriors in the last few years. He himself was now known to be the strongest Alpha of Northern Alfar. Theo improved his fighting skills and honed his alpha command, testing it against his enemies.
Theo's strength was now considered legendary. He could easily overpower multiple adversaries, and his strategic mind made him a formidable leader. Alpha Theo was not just a warrior but a protector of his pack, guiding them with a firm hand.
'To your east, Rollin, rogues are coming your way,' Theo mindlinked as he watched the scene from above.
'Roger that, Alpha Theo,' Rollin responded.
To Theo's left, he witnessed some of his warriors struggling to keep the rogues in control. Thus, he decided to join the fight.
Theo shifted into his midnight black wolf. He seethed as he ran to help his men.
This was the same rogue group that attacked their east border three nights ago, resulting in one of his men's deaths. He was so furious he just had to make them pay. So, they tracked their group's hiding place and initiated an attack! Finishing the rogues was better than having them return to his lands.
"Die!" Theo barked as his wolf leaped to the nearest rogue, his fangs quickly landing on the enemy's neck.
Theo moved with grace and precision, jumping from one rogue to another. His growls were fierce, and his bites were lethal. He used the power of both his human and wolf form to navigate his way in between adversaries. With the joint forces of his men, the fight easily ended in less than an hour.
Seeing most of the rogues either restrained or lifeless, Theo announced, "I declare the end of the Westwood Rogues!"
Later in the day, Theo returned to Port Leon. He walked steadily to his room.
Theo's body was more prominent. He had earned many scars from the battles he had won, but they never reduced his good looks and appeal. Theo was not only the most powerful alpha of Northern Alfar, but he also remained the most desired unmarried leader of the nation.
Theo bathed and changed before making his way to his office. As soon as he settled behind his desk, he started work, going from one paper to another.
Suddenly, his door opened, and Madison came in, asking, "Congratulations on your conquest, Theo."
Theo paused. He looked at Madison briefly before resuming his work. He replied, "Thank you. I have work to do -"
"When are we going to get married? When are you going to be satisfied with all this fighting?" Madison impatiently asked.
"It isn't my fault," Theo replied nonchalantly. "Enemies keep coming, and no, I will not get married. I have already told you, Madison, to move on because I don't see myself ever getting married again."
"But why?" Madison became frantic. "Is it still about Gwen? Theo, I have waited for you all these years. I had hoped that you would forget about that cheating whore -"
"Enough!" Theo slammed his hand against the table's surface. He said, "I don't want you to mention Gwen again. It's not about her. I just - I don't think I am capable of loving again. I'm sorry, Madison."
"But why?" Madison asked. "Didn't you used to love me?"
"That was before. I have changed. Please, leave," Theo ordered. "I have work to do."
Madison wept before Theo. She remained standing by the door for almost a minute. Theo stared straight at her. Soon, she said, "I will wait, Theo. I will wait because I love you that much."
She exited the room, and only then did Theo let out a heavy sigh. Until that very day, no one knew the real reason why he couldn't love again. Only Brody, his beta, knew that Gwen was his fated mate.
Over the years, Theo focused on fighting and conquering his enemies. His pack had grown into four territories, and Theo was richer than ever. However, no amount of wealth or land could give Theo contentment. Deep inside, he was unhappy.
He could never get over Gwen. He now knew this was a fact that he had to accept. Because of this, he decided to remain single. Theo deemed marrying someone else was unfair when his heart belonged to another.
Thankfully, the elders had not forced him to choose a luna, which was useless since he was infertile anyway. Thus, he remained the alpha of Port Leon, but should it come down to deciding the next alpha, Theo would select amongst his warriors instead of an alpha heir.
While Theo was in deep thought, his office door burst open again. Brody walked in with a set of documents in his hand. He said, "Alpha, I think we found Gwen."
Hearing Brody, Theo's heart raced. He muttered, "Gwen."
~ Gwen ~
Meanwhile, in another country, Gwen was receiving patients in her office. She was now known to be Dr. Weneth, the miracle werewolf doctor in Cada City of Southern Alfar.
"Doctor, we can't thank you enough for treating my father. He is fully healed. We have been to many countries, and only you were able to give him a miracle cure without undergoing a transplant," the patient's daughter said from her seat.
Gwen was smiling behind her table. Instead of her purple eyes, she wore brown contact lenses. Her eyes sparkled as she replied, "No, our combined efforts healed your father."
She turned to her patient, who was drinking tea in her office, and said, "Remember to eat healthy this time. We are werewolves, but even if we are superior to humans, we can still have kidney failures."
"I'll remember that, Doctor. Thank you very much for the help," the patient replied before leaving Gwen's office.
Gwen's assistant walked in. She placed another patient record and said, "Another happy and turned healthy patient done, ten more sickly to go."
The assistant winked at Gwen, saying, "Good luck, doctor."
Gwen had a long morning of consultations. After that, she visited patients admitted to the hospital. She ended her work at two in the afternoon, and Jacob picked her up at the hospital's entrance.
The second she entered the car, Jacob said, "Long day, huh?"
Gwen smiled at Jacob. Throughout her life in Cada City, Jacob has been her constant bodyguard and driver. He had become Gwen's closest friend. She said, "Oh, today was a bit short. I had to cut it short for a special occasion. Did you buy the cake?"
"Done," Jacob said.
"Then, let's go home," Gwen declared.
They drove for three hours before finally reaching the highway to the Purple-Eye Pack. As always, the walk to the pack was long, but the journey was worth it.
When Gwen arrived at the packhouse, a little man rushed to her arms. He screamed, "Mommy! Mommy! You are early today!"
Her six-year-old looked more handsome than ever. Like Theo, Ian had an attractive face. He had brown hair and the same stunning green eyes. Gwen recognized that her son was a perfect young version of his father.
Ian's little arms were wrapped around her neck as she spun him around. Gwen kissed his cute cheeks and said, "Of course, how could I be late for my baby's birthday!"
"Perfect timing! Your Ma just served dinner," George, Gwen's father, said before hugging Gwen.
They had an intimate gathering for Ian's birthday. Of course, Baron was there. Jacob was invited because he was practically Ian's second uncle. They all sang a happy birthday before starting dinner. "Happy Birthday to you. Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday, dear Ian. Happy birthday to you!"
"Blow your candle, Honey! Make a wish!" Gwen said.
"Go on, Sweetie," Juliet encouraged. "Blow your candle."
"Blow your candle, Ian, so that uncle can eat your cake," Baron teased.
Everyone laughed before Ian blew six candles on his cake. He closed his eyes and made a wish. After that, he said, "Let's eat the cake!"
"What did you wish for, Ian?" Juliet asked.
"Yes, Honey, what did you wish for?" Gwen inquired.
Ian's smiling face faded. He hesitated momentarily but soon admitted, "I - I wished I'd meet my dad."
