'No, this can't be happening! Gwen cannot be this lucky!' Madison was consumed by envy when all the revelations about Gwen came to light.
'Gwen is the miracle doctor? How? What made her so special?' She gritted her teeth as she questioned Gwen's background.
Madison could not also come to terms with how Theo had treated her, nor could she accept that Gwen wasn't truly Lucius' daughter. That was her only leverage to keep her friends hating Gwen, and now, even that was slipping away.
She hated Gwen to the core. First, Gwen had ruined her relationship with Theo when Agatha forced them to marry. When Gwen was finally gone, Theo couldn't forget her! Then, when Theo finally came to his senses and offered to marry her, he changed his mind. What fueled Madison's jealousy toward Gwen even more was the fact that Gwen had a son with Theo!
'These are Gwen's parents?' she thought while staring at Ian's son, embracing the two strangers.
Madison could argue that these were not Gwen's real parents, but she saw it clearly: the longing the said grandparents had for Ian. The woman named Juliet cried, and eventually, her husband did too.
Moreover, they came with the king of Southern Alfar! Should Madison question Alexander, it might just be the end of her.
'No, no!' Madison screamed in her head. She touched her belly and remembered how she had inseminated herself.
For days, she had been trying to get Theo alone so she could seduce him. She had planned to drug him again and just jump on him, but Theo refused to see her.
So, with her aunt helping her, she thought this was the answer to all her prayers, and Theo would finally be hers. Sadly, that backfired on her and her aunt. The king ordered her to be locked up, and her aunt got fired!
All Madison could do was watch everything unfold before her, her eyes narrowing at Gwen and her parents.
"Dad, Mom," Gwen said as she walked towards George and Juliet Allard. Gwen's face quickly became stained with tears as she joined them in the embrace. "I have missed you."
"We are all so worried about you and Ian. I'm glad that you are all safe," the man who claimed to be Alpha George said. He pecked Gwen's forehead and sniffed his tears away, his eyes searching for someone else.
"Father," Gwen's brother, Baron, approached their group. He embraced George and Juliet, Allard.
While all this was happening, Madison's friends expressed their awakening, and panic grew in her heart. Even Caroline stayed quiet, simply observing the reunion of Gwen's family. Some were already addressing Gwen as the luna!
"So Luna Gwen has her own family."
"What she had said at the community grounds was true."
"Did Lucius kidnap her?"
"She is also a victim."
She had many plans to ruin Gwen, but how could she implement them if Theo locked her up? 'Think, Madison, think!'
"My King. We were not expecting you to accompany our parents. Thank you for coming over." Madison soon heard Baron say as he turned to the southern king.
"Well, when I heard of how two of my men had died and how you were attacked, I felt regretful. It was my fault, to begin with, because I had ordered Gwen to treat my brother and could not provide her with enough security despite the threat," King Alexander said, his testimony further fortifying King Arthur's earlier statement.
"Well, no one expected this. I did not even know I had such an enemy desperate to kill me," King Arthur admitted.
From Gwen's family, all the attention was diverted to the two king brothers. Alexander asked, "You are without your luna, Brother?"
"Hazel did not want me to leave for fear of my health and life," Arthur responded. "So, when she made the trip to Borealis, I took the chance to come here and see Doctor Weneth. She doesn't know that I am here."
"I'm glad that you are here," King Alexander said. "I would like to have a word with you."
"Well, I think that has been... long overdue," Arthur acknowledged. "Let us talk."
Alexander turned his gaze to Theo. He asked, "Alpha Theo, can you accommodate us additionally? We plan to stay until everything is settled with Doctor Weneth and King Arthur. I would also like to collect the bodies of my men so their families can rightfully mourn for their deaths."
"Of course!" Theo answered. "We have more than enough rooms in this hotel. My beta will make the necessary arrangements."
Theo turned to Brody and gave instructions. When Madison's attention returned to Gwen, she realized how the latter was mindlinking with her parents. It was clear by how her brows were meeting. Her eyes were locked to both her father and mother, but they were not speaking.
Madison wanted to stay in the gathering, hoping to uncover more details about Gwen and find a loophole. However, to her dismay, Theo firmly commanded his gamma, "Rollin, escort Madison to the dungeons. Let her reflect on her actions. She is not to be released until I give the order!"
Her aunt wanted to react, but all Melissa could do was gasp in fear. Caroline also opened her mouth, but when her eyes landed on King Arthur, fear evidently shone on her eyes, and she sealed her mouth shut.
Instead, Caroline mindlinked, 'I'm sorry, Madison. I'll talk to Theo later. I promise. He is just this way because you angered the king.'
Rollin grabbed Madison's arm. He said, "Let's go, Madison!"
Madison turned to the gamma and begged, "Rollin, please. We have known each other for so long -"
"I'm sorry, but not only is this Alpha's order, it is also the king's," Rollin answered. Then, he mindlinked with her, 'You should have listened to us. We have told you to forget Theo.'
'But I can't! Rollin, please!' She linked back. She pleaded again and again. She even tried to use her strength to force her arm free from the gamma, but he was stronger than her.
Rollin had dragged her to the door when she heard Theo say, "What about you, Miss Melissa Emry? You are no longer welcome at this gathering too! Leave!"
After Theo's additional order, another warrior escorted Madison's aunt outside.
Both Madison and her aunt were brought to the hotel's driveway, only that she was headed straight to the dungeons, and her aunt was left on the streets, blocked from re-entering.

Back at the hotel, Theo asked the staff to extend the venue to the second ballroom. He ordered a few rearrangements since King Alexander requested alone time with his older brother.
Gwen had instructed Jacob to grab some ingredients for tea back at the packhouse, and he arrived on time for the two kings to settle at one round table.
"Your Highness," Gwen said while pushing a cup of the tea to King Arthur. "Peppermint tea for you."
Jacob brought another cup for King Alexander. Gwen handed it to him, saying, "My King, I believe you prefer just a regular black tea."
While servers were setting food on the table for the two kings, Alexander smiled at Gwen, saying, "Anything is fine, Doctor. What I'd really like is a talk with my brother."
"Brother," Arthur echoed. "It has been... a long time."
