“Oxytocin and what’s the name of that drug you said again?” I asked the nurse that was giving me a prescription of the type of drugs I asked for. I didn’t want to look dumb but I had a lot going on in my head. This bitch was doing nothing yet she messed with my head effortlessly. I’ve been uneasy since she came and it felt like she was going to snatch Frankie away from me. She didn’t even need to do anything yet she has taken him away from me.
She rolled her eyes before giving me an answer “Misoprostol…”
I really wanted to slap her face hard before sending her off but I was the one who needed her help so I have to put up with her annoying attitude.
“Yes, yes… I also need this business to be kept on the low and to also be a clean one.” I said while handing the bag I held to her. We already had an agreement involving money so getting her to do my bid won’t be hard at all.
I handed the nurse the wad of cash I took out from my bag and I scoffed internally as I watched he eyes light up with greed. I didn’t really mind, so far, she was able to do the job I paid her for well.
‘Finally, I would be able to get rid of that bitch once and for all and Alpha Frankie will finally be mine’ I said internally.
I just couldn’t wait to finally make Frankie mine, to get him back from the clutches of that manipulative witch. I wonder how she was able to get him under her control in the first place. I also hate the moon goddess as she didn’t give me Frankie as my mate and she let the only man I ever loved slip through my fingers.
I had great trust in this nurse because this is not the first time, she had done business for me. She knew how things worked around here and she knew better than to let herself get caught. She was smart and I liked it. She knew if she gets caught, I will deny her and she would be killed. I always make sure our business transactions don’t have records.
I already paid her some money to help me inject some drugs into Paula’s IV, to terminate that pregnancy once Paula is ought for a checkup due to her being kidnapped. I gave her a very hefty amount of money, more than the hospital would ever think of paying her, the offer is so tempting I knew that there was no way she would decline my offer.
“You’ll get the remaining payment when the work is done,” I said
She nodded in agreement and we went over the plan once again. I had arranged with someone in the security department of the hospital, and with some money so I was able to gain his loyalty. Once the nurse finishes the job, everything would be wiped clean and no traces would be left.
‘The things people do for money’ I thought to myself as scoffed.
I’ve thought deeply about what to do with Paula after the kidnapping and I came up with the idea of getting rid of that child her womb first. I wanted to take things slow and torture her mentally first. While she’s still recovering from the loss, I will deliver another blow to her. I have planned that I will be pamper her and act like a friend, so when she dies Frankie would come to me to mourn her loss. From there, we would kickstart our own love story.
“Okay maam. Your wish is my command.” The nurse echoed, interrupting my train of thoughts..
I took out my phone to check the time so I can decide where to go next. Once I was decided, I set off to my next location
I’ll just visit Alpha Frankie and keep him company, while that girl squirms and burns on pains at the hospital.
‘What a nice plan’! I said to myself while giggling as I ignored the looks, I was getting.

“Sir we have a problem!”
This was the exact words the doctor had told me before I was racing towards the hospital.
I had previously sent Paula to the hospital for a checkup once she had woke up. I had also questioned her about the incident but she said someone had hit her on the head and she had blacked out. I had then sent her to the hospital by myself but I had to leave to take care of Anne’s funeral arrangements. I had been in grief over the loss of my best friend, so when I heard that there was an issue with Paula, panic gripped me. I surely don’t want to lose anyone close to me anymore.
I didn’t have any time to waste.
The only place I want to be right now is Paula’s room, and the only voice I wanted to hear was hers.
I burst into Paula’s room, not even bothering to check in with the receptionist that was calling out to me, or ask for the doctor, as right now she was my topmost priority.
Her room was filled with nurses and doctors, who are all gathered around her bed. I froze in my tracks when I heard familiar tracks when I heard sobs.
Paula
My heart broke into shreds at the heart wrenching sobs coming from my mate. I made a promise to myself to never make my mate cry or anything harm her. Here I was, she has been kidnapped on my watch and now this, I felt like a failure already.
I stay rooted to the spot, looking at everything and everyone.
They’ve not even noticed my presence, as they are all hooked at whatever it was that they were looking at on Paula’s bed, and my heart started racing in fear.
I was already sensing they something bad must have happened, and I clenched and unclenched my fist, calming down the animal in me as I refrain from screaming.
After a chaotic metal battle with my wolf, I finally cleared my throat and asked loudly, attracting everyone’s attention, “What the hell is going on here?”
“Alpha King…” The doctor in charge, and the one I was familiar with began to speak with panic and fear evident on his face.
“What’s going on here? Where’s Paula?” I ask again redirecting my eyes to the bed that was now in my view but she was not there.
‘Then who had been crying? One of the nurses or what?’ I thought as I approached the bed with a rigid and taut body.
“Sir, you have to calm…”
I interrupt him before he can even finish whatever it is he wants to say, “Calm down for what? Why is Paula’s bed empty? Where is she? I need answers.”
“Sir…. I… I… Miss Lover went into a drug induced coma” the doctor said while shivering in fear.
Something in me immediately snapped as fear and panic gripped me.
“What!” I screamed loudly.
Just as I was about to fly into rage, the door to the room opened and a familiar scent enveloped me.
It was Paula
She was being supported by two nurses who were holding her up gently as if she were to break, and they were guiding her as she walked. Immediately she looked up and saw me, she froze in her tracks. I stared at her, a lot of emotions passing through my mind at once but the most prominent one was Relief.
I examined her from head to toe and it was then that I noticed that she had been crying. She was also clutching her belly really tightly with her back hunched.
Damn!
I walked towards her and took her from the nurses, and she weakly dropped into my arms and began sobbing uncontrollably.
Something was wrong.
Something was very wrong.
“She lost the Baby” The doctor chimed.
‘Oh No’ I thought in horror.
Paula had lost the baby.
The baby meant everything to her.
I was sure that the baby was the only thing keeping her sane and stable despite everything she had been through.
I knew how much she regarded this child, despite also hating the father, and I knew the plans she had already started making for the baby, and now for this to happen…
I didn’t even know what to think anymore.
‘How exactly did this happen?’ I thought to myself’
Fuck! Fuck!
“Everybody get out!” I yelled
“Except you.” I said while pointing to the doctor
They all scramble out like scared mice and I carry Paula and place her on the bed while she sobs. I start stroking her hair to comfort her while I turn to glare at the doctor.
“Start Talking. How exactly did this happen?”
