“So, you’re the person who desperately asked for an audience with me right?” I asked.
My beta had called me earlier today to inform me that a nurse from the black moon pack controlled by Frankie begged desperately to meet with me. I’d have ignored it but seeing she was not from my pack but my brother’s, I got a little bit interested.
“Yes alpha” she replied meekly.
“And what if it’s not important?” I asked as I began to play with my fingers.
“You can kill me” she said fearlessly as she looks up at me before continuing, “but if it is something very important to you, will you grant me whatever I ask?”
Her courage doesn’t amuse me and killing her isn’t a problem but I want to know what would make a nurse of the black moon pack risk her life to come here. So, I lean comfortably in my chair and nodded at her to proceed with her request.
“One of my sisters work here as a slave to the nobles because of a debt we owe. All I want is for her to stop working as a slave and return home with me”
That simple? I scoff.
“Fine. Granted. Now tell me what it is that it’s so important” I said impatiently.
“It’s about your Luna and her pregnancy, your child. The one she lost” I immediately sat up and I don’t miss the sly grin on the nurse’s face as she already knows she got me hooked.
“What about it? What about her and the pregnancy!” I growl and she shakes slightly.
“She didn’t lose it because of the kidnapping” She said.
“What are you insinuating? That it wasn’t a miscarriage?” I asked.
” Answer me!” I shout when she doesn’t answer at first.
“She was injected and drugged with a medication that made her lose the pregnancy and I saw it all myself” she said while trembling in fear.
My blood immediately started boiling in rage as jump to my feet.
