Frankie
I had made up my mind to tell Paula about Akayla’s whereabouts for the past few days but she woke up and beat me to it. She sat up on the bed with the help of Paula and told her that she went to her coven to find answers.
“Answers for what?” Paula asked as she stared at Akayla with a raised brow.
“Well, I went there to get answers about the nature of your powers.” Akayla responded.
“What do you mean by the nature of my powers? Do the powers come in different forms? I thought that all witches were the same.”
“No they aren’t all the same as you seem to have forgotten that you are a half witch. I wasn’t sure if you use the same methods as that of a full witch to train you. I had to go inquire how to train you and also to address an issue that happened the day you passed out as well as see if the theory I created to back the theory up was correct. I couldn’t take any risks as you are carrying a child within you.
“What issue do you mean? What happened on the day I passed out?” Paula asked.
I stood quietly and watched as Akayla explained all that had happened to Paula before and after she blacked out. She also explained What theory she came up with and why she went to inquire about how true they were.
“Wow!”
“That’s a lot to process and take in at the moment.” Paula mumbled.
“So what you’re telling me is that I attacked you guys due to the fact that my powers are being unsealed. The cause of the unseal might be my unborn baby that needs energy” She continued as she recounted what Akayla explained.
“This is extremely bizzare. I am so confused as to what is going on.” She complained as she held on to her forehead.
“Okay then. That explains the reason you journeyed to your coven but why did you return in such a state? What exactly happened over there?”
It was at that moment that I finally focused all my attention on Akayla. I myself was confused as to what was going on. Akayla had clearly stated that she was going to ask questions on Paula’s powers but suddenly she came back half dead.
What exactly happened?
She sighed and turned to face me.
“Frankie!”
“Can I ask you for a favor?” asked Akayla
“Yes you can. So far it is in my capabilities, I can try to fulfill your request” I replied making sure not to promise anything as it could be a trap.
She may have been someone that Paula cared about but that didn’t change the fact that she was still an enemy. I was the Alpha King and I was more conscious of issues like this.
She seemed to have figured out the tactic I was going for because she rolled her eyes and said “You don’t have to worry ‘Alpha King.’ You don’t have to be cautious because I have nothing planned. I just want to have a chat with Paula alone.”
“Why?”
I didn’t trust her one bit especially when she just came back from such a dangerous position. She had almost lost her life wherever she had been and I was not leaving Paula with her. She could have been captured and threatened to do something to her in order to gain her freedom.
Witches that had lived in their realm were cuny and not to be trusted at all. I had witnessed it first hand how they sold out their own kin to gain more power. It was way too despicable and I couldn’t let Paula be exposed to such deceit.
“I am not going to harm her in anyway. I just need to inform her about something that involves her in everyway. After I do so, she will be the one to make the decision on how to proceed with such an information.” She replied.
I was still worried about Paula but I knew that the final decision was left to her so I turned to face her with an inquisitive expression on my face.
“It’s fine Frankie. I trust her and I need to hear what she has to say. I will be fine so you don’t have to worry. ” She assured.
I nodded at Paula before turning to give Akayla a warning glare. She rolled her eyes at my antics but I didn’t care if she didn’t take me seriously. If she so much as touched a strand on Paula hair, I would make sure to obliterate her.
I sauntered out of the room but not before giving a last glance at Paula.
What i didn’t know was that this little meeting I allowed would be the beginning of the ascension.
I went out and closed the door behind me. As I shut the door, I also closed the the weak Paula and opened up that of the Legendary Luna.

Once Frankie was out the door, I looked back at Akayla and asked her to speak.
“Paula, I don’t even know where to start with my explanation.” Akayla mumbled.
“Well you can start from the very beginning as I don’t think anything else could surprise me as much as my energy sucking fetus.” I joked dryly.
It seemed to work on easing her nerves as she chuckled albeit nervously at me.
“Well, I don’t think you will have such an opinion at the end of my explanation.”
“I don’t think so but lay it on me.” I uttered confidently.
Boy was I wrong.
When she explained all the information she had gotten from the elders of the coven to me, my jaw dropped open in shock.
What the hell?

This was totally shocking!
Apparently my powers were that of an ancient witch and once I awakened my powers, half of the witch population will be rendered powerless.
Also, it had been the elders that sold me out to Xayden so he could torture me into suicide.
This was pure evil!
I didn’t know what to say in the least bit as this was so not what i was expecting.
Akayla didn’t seem to notice my shock and when she did, she didn’t let it bother her as she continued with the explanation of what happened after she was asked to make a decision.
“I planned to sleep over it and make a decision the next day. That night, I had dreamt about your mother and she was crying. When I turned her towards me, I was shocked to see that her eyes were bloodshot and lifeless. She looked totally lost and she didn’t know what do or where to go. I tried to get her to see me and come back but all she did was cry.” Akayla narrated.
“Before I could do anything further, I woke up abruptly. I came to the conclusion that you mother was sad at the fact that I didn’t fulfill her wish of looking after you and allowed you to fall into the arms of those manipulative monsters. It was then I made a decision to leave the coven the next morning.”
“When I made to leave as soon as the sun rise, I was cornered by some of the witches and attacked jointly. I found that they had anticipated my move and we’re ready to kill me as a precaution. They never wanted you to find out what truly happened. In case they first plan backfired, they would still have you to protect them. I would have totally died if it was not for the fact that i was smart enough to use the remainder of my power to teleport over here. I had even thought that If I appeared here, I would be killed in my weak state as I was a witch. Thankfully I had appeared where you were by coincidence.” She announced as she held on to my hands.
“How could those people be so evil!”
“I would rather die than be their protector especially after everything they did to get rid of me. I would never swear my allegiance to them for abandoning my mother, me and my unborn baby to suffer and rot.” I swore.
Fury like no other, surged through me.
As I thought of a they did to me over the years, I felt nothing but fury and thirst for revenge.
I had had enough of people stepping on me as they saw fit. It was time to became stronger and stomp on them to let them have a taste of what they dished out.
I was going to awaken the power that they were really scared of and pay them back dearly with it.
Xayden, the elders and whosoever that had a hand in my suffering over the years was going to pay dearly as I wouldn’t let anyone go for what they did.
