“I’m sorry Frankie but I don’t accept your love,” she said and that immediately ripped my heart into two.
Even though I knew that this was coming, I still felt heartbroken at the thought that she didn’t even want me to have feelings towards her.
Was I not enough for her? Was my feeling not worth it to her? I had mustered up the courage to bare my heart out to her and I didn’t even have the rights to love her?
“Can you at least tell me why?” I questioned as I pushed down the lump that was rising in my throat.
She didn’t respond at first and it pissed me of a bit but I knew I could never take out my frustrations on her. I took in a deep breath before I continued talking.
“I understand if it is hard for you to love me back and that is not what I am requesting at all. All I am asking is a chance to express my feelings towards you.” I said as I kept observing her face to be able to guess what she was thinking.
She sighed before she finally started speaking.
“Well…. I can’t accept your love because it seems you have sacrificed way too much for this relationship. You are the only one who has been contributing from day one and now you still want to give me your heart? I feel like a piece of accessory at this point whenever you do everything and I can’t seem to contribute anything. Also, since you saved me from the woods and brought me along with you, you have faced nothing but problem upon problems.” She said in a solemn tone.
I stared at her for a while as I started to process what she had said. I heaved a sigh of relief when I understood what she meant but felt bad soon after when I realized that she was not happy in our relationship. Plus, why did she think she brought only problems for me?
“Paula, I never knew that you felt that way whenever I did those things for you. I just did them because I found joy in helping you every step of the way. Plus, you have contributed as much as I have into this relationship.”
She sighed and held her forehead in her hand.
“What have I contributed Frankie? Asides all my nightmares, depression and troubles, what exactly can you say that I contributed? You don’t need to comfort me just to get me to accept your affections.”
What was she saying?
“Paula, What are you saying? I will never see you as someone who brings be troubles but more as a blessing. I have noticed that ever since you came, I have been able to achieve things that I never did before. I had never been able to stand against the council as well as my father to fight for what I wanted but ever since you came, I have fought for myself couple of times. I even finally paid attention to the corrupt elders and booted them out of the pack due to the mate bond trial that happened because of you. I was also able to find Annie after all these years due to you because she was used as a bargaining chip by Xayden. If you didn’t come along, I was sure that I would never have found her otherwise.” I affirmed as I listed all the reasons I could remember.
“Also have you seem to have forgotten Renee. Albeit Hawke sister, she was a green snake in the green grass and I was only able to find out her true colors because you came into the picture. I and Akayla who could never stand each other were able to stay in one room all due to your influence. We may still have a weird and crappy relationship but at least we have moved from trying to kill each other to having minor squabbles. You really don’t realize what you have done do you? You have changed me immensely and for the better at that.” I spoke with as much sincerity as I could muster.
At this point, she was gazing at me with teary eyes.
“Do you really mean what you said” she asked with uncertainty in her tone
I knew that she didn’t have a lot of self esteem especially after what she went through in the hands of Xayden. That was the reason she wasn’t sure she deserved my love but I felt that it was I who didn’t deserve her. She needed to learn how to love herself before she could love me and for that, I was willing to wait.
I went forward and grabbed her face in my palms as I gazed lovingly into her eyes.
“Yes Paula, I mean it. You deserve my heart and so much more. You have contributed more than you realize into our relationship. You are my Goodluck charm at this point.” I said teasingly
She chuckled with her eyes was glistening with unshed tears.
“No one has ever told me that I was their good luck charm before. It may be a joke on your path but to me it means a lot to actually be something more than an accessory to them.”
“Well the world is stupid for not seeing what a gem you are. You are just unpolished is all. Once you are, I am sure that you will shine brighter than stars itself. Oh ye great ancient!”
“Stop it!” she said while chuckling as her face turned red.
“besides, I am not an ancient yet! I am yet to unlock my powers.”
“I understand but still I am sure that you will soon.”
Her face was still red from earlier and I couldn’t help but lean forward and give her cheeks a little bite.
She turned even redder if that was possible and covered her cheeks once I separated from her.
“why are you so shy? It’s not like I haven’t seen you naked” I teased with a smirk.
“can you not mention that?” she muttered through her hands as she covered her whole face with her hands.
“you want me to stop? Well…. I will.” I stated and soon after she removed her hands from her face.

I leaned closer towards her and she backed away a bit but I wasn’t having it. I held her by the waist and pulled her closer to me till I could feel her sweet minty breath on my skin. I could smell her scent already and it made me crave her so badly but I knew that I had to wait till she was ready.
I bent forward till my mouth was very close to her ear.
“I will stop teasing you only on one condition.” I whispered in her ear and I could feel her shiver as my breath hit her sensitive ear.
“uh… uhm.” she stuttered and I could hear her heartbeat quicken.
She tried to separate from me but I wasn’t having it. I embraced her waist tighter and bent forward to lick her earlobe as a punishment.
“if you move again, I will make it an even worse punishment than licking your ear.” I warned as I bit her earlobe.
It surely worked as she suddenly froze. I was just trying to open her up to new possibilities and I would stop immediately I spotted any signs that she was not comfortable with my advances. Minus pleasure induced uncomfortability of course.
“Good girl! So, do you want to listen to the condition now?” I asked in a whisper in her ear.
I was having fun toying with her sensitive ear and watching her shiver from pleasure.
“W… What is it?” she stuttered out as her breathing grew heavier and her heartbeat grew unsteady.
“Well… I will stop teasing you if you give me a kiss” I announced and I could see her eyes widen as she started fiddling with her fingers.
“I…Okay” she stuttered.
I just loved the way she was all meek and shy around me if we were about to get intimate but quirky and enthusiastic outside that.
She gazed up at my eyes with her beautiful hazel eyes and then at lips and then back to my eyes.
Her heart was speeding up and I could hear it loud and clear with my enhanced hearing. Mine was also racing as I took in her divine scent.
She puckered her lips, raised herself on her tiptoes and leaned towards me.
Soon our lips finally made contact and I had to say, the sweet feeling never gets old. I thought she would do something else but she just stayed like that, unmoving with her lips on mine. I knew then that I had to take the initiative if I wanted us to move things further.
I grabbed her by the back of my head and meshed my lips with hers. I pinched the exposed skin on her waist and when she gasped, I delved into her sweet mouth with my tongue.
She finally relaxed into my hands as I kissed her like it was our last. She soon started responding with equal passion as we were making out like there was no tomorrow.
My hands left her waist and started roaming her entire body. I traced all her curves and edges and she melted into my arms even further. When I knew that she was relaxed enough, I slipped one hand under her blouse.
She gasped into our kiss and separated from me. She began panting from the passionate kiss as well as the feelings she was getting from my roaming hand.
I used my fingers to trace circles on her back as my hand slowly inched upwards towards her bra clasp.
She was already a putty mess in my arms as her mouth was parted and her breathing irregular. I soon found her bra clasp and unbuckled it. I separated from her for barely a minute as I ripped her bra off her with my elongated nails, letting her ample breast fall on my chest. I threw the bra or what remained of it to a direction in the room that I didn’t care about.
Paula gasped in more shock than pleasure at my sudden actions and she made to cover up but I grabbed her hands and pulled them to her side. I leaned away from her to examine her more clearly.
She was red in the face with her lips parted and he eyes drooping. I could see the outline of her nipples from the thin fabric of her blouse and it sure was hard and erect.
“Let me pleasure you!”
She froze for a moment and before I could process what was going on, she pushed me away from her body and moved two steps backwards.
“What’s wrong?” I asked trying my best to keep the surprise and hurt out of my voice.
Her face turned beet red for some reason and she avoided eye contact with me.
“Paula! Is something wrong? Do you feel uncomfortable? Do you want me to stop? If you do, tell me and I will stop immediately. I already said that……” I said but trailed off as I observed what she did next.
Her hand went towards the end of her blouse and she tugged at it and then shockingly lifted it off her body leaving her entire upper body bare.
I stared open mouthed at what was unfolding before my eyes.
What exactly was going on? What was Paula trying to do?
I had never been more confused in my life than I had been at that moment.
Her next words had my mouth dropping open in shock even though she was tomato red as she said it.
“I… I want…. I want to pleasure you instead. I want to take it to the next level with you”
At this point even Black my wolf who had been inactive for a while finally reacted.
