“Frankie? What’s going on here” I asked with a calm voice as I stared at Anne’s arm that was wrapped tightly around his neck.
He looked like he was trying to get her off so I was quick to sense what was going on.
Anne untangled herself from Frankie and stared at me with guilt in her eyes.
Was she expecting me to start crying or what? Just because she had guilt doesn’t mean anything went down.
As Frankie approached me, I could feel her eyes on me and I looked back at her.
She seemed to spot something on me because her eyes widened and once I followed her gaze, I could see that she was looking at all the numerous marks and hickeys that Frankie had given me the night before.
“Bambi, I can…..” He started but I raised my hand in an bid to stop him.
“I understand. Can I see you alone please?” I said as I gave Anne the side eye.
“Oh. Yes of course you can. Hawke, Anne, please can you excuse me, Paula and I want to have a chat.”
I could see that Anne sure wanted to stay but Hawke tugged at her arm and pulled her with him.
Hawke nodded before he went out with an expressionless Anne on his trail.
Once they were out the door, I looked at him with a raised brow.
“I waited for you for three hours straight so I presumed, maybe you had some important issue going on. I asked for you everywhere even though I could feel the mocking eyes of the people that I asked. And look at me here at your study where you are supposed to be drowning in a break only to see you all entangled with supposed best friend. ” I said in the snarkiest tone I had ever used.
I don’t know what was going on with me lately or ever since I claimed I wanted to be strong and after I mated with Kaden add felt my confidence level increasing.
I put my hand on my waist as I stared at him waiting for an explanation. I knew that he was not doing anything bad but I still couldn’t help but feel jealous at the fact that that girl had her arms all over him.
“It’s not what you think Paula. I actually did come here because Hawke told me that I had official park business to handle. Once I got here, all I met was Hawke and Anne instead.”
“What’s going on why did Hawke lie to you?”
“Well he didn’t exactly lie to me as we did have pack business to discuss but he claimed that Anne tagged along”
“Ohh okay. What did she say was the issue?” I said as I folded my arms across my chest.
He sighed, rubbed his head before he gestured at me to sit and and started speaking once I did.
“I had asked Anne what she wanted and she said that she wanted to the part of making the packs decision with I and Hawke like she was before she went missing.”
“Wait what? She wants a hand in the decision making due to the fact that she is who exactly?” I quizzed, enveloped with irritation and jealousy for the fact that my mate and another female was once like that.
Frankie seemed to feel my jealousy because he held my hand and said,
“She was my best friend back then and giving her a chance to rule seemed okay to me because I didn’t have a Luna to take care of those female affairs in the pack. Plus she knew the pack very well back then. Now that you are here though, you can be rest assured that the position belongs to you and only you.”
I felt my jealousy ease a little bit as I understood that she made decisions with them because I hadn’t been found then.
“So what did you tell her, what was her response?”
“I had made sure to tell her that she couldn’t play that part anymore. She had played the guilt card and told me that she had suffered badly because she snitched on Xayden to me so I wouldn’t exchange my mate with her.”
Oh wow! She’s good at playing her cards alright.
“She really went that far just for a decision making position? That’s too awful”
“I can’t say that because I understand that she doesn’t want to keep being treated like an invalid that cannot do anything. You also told me that once and that was why you wanted me to train you right?”
I sighed and held my forehead. That was true as I also knew what I felt like to when treated like a delicate toy just because you were once abused.
“I understand her point of view but she still shouldn’t have played that card. Plus, why was she insisting on a position besides you?”
“Well that I don’t know but that is one of the reasons I have my guard up against her. She may be my friend but even the kindest people can be changed by torture. I have seen it happen over and over again as an Alpha King.”
He rubbed his forehead once more and I knew that he was frustrated and confused.
“I had truly considered all she claimed she did and sacrificed, so I said would give her a position that was somewhere in the pack but she was adamant. She even claimed that she had knowledge about something that was related to Xayden, my father and his mother. In exchange, she wanted that position”
“What information did she have? Why did it seem as if your supposed best friend was blackmailing you into giving her a position by your side?” I asked with a raised brow.
I knew something was off about her from the start but I couldn’t say anything to Frankie without sounding as if I was just being petty and jealous.
He explained all she had told him about Xayden’s mother going to retrieve some artifact and all the things they wanted to do with it.
“My personal assistant”
“What?”
“Don’t tell me you gave that position to her as you can see that she obviously has the hots for you.”
“Yes I did but I only gave her the job of serving coffee during our meetings when she wouldn’t let up”
“What difference does that make? She was willing to blackmail you for that position so obviously she does not have your best interest at heart. She only wants to get close to you.”
“Bambi listen, she has a mate already so I don’t believe that is the reason. I think she has another reason that I haven’t figured out yet. Also if she truly were working with Xayden, why did she betray him and give us information about him?”
“I don’t know why but all I know is that I don’t want her around you Incase she ends up being a psycho.” I said with pouted lips as I turned my head away from him.
I wasn’t sure where this jealousy sprouted from but I was sure it came along with my new found personality.
“Wait Bambi, is all this coming from jealousy?.” He asked with his brow raised as he folded his hand across his chest.
“I am not je……. ugghh! Fine I am jealous. I don’t know why but I am.” I grumbled.
“Awwn Bambi. You don’t have to be jealous as I am all yours.”
He came towards me and hugged my waist before he kissed me on the lips.
“You are mine and ao am I. So, no one can steal me away from you.” He said while chuckling as he kissed my lips once more.
“This mark” he said as he kissed the bite mark that he made on my neck tge previous night.
“Makes you mine and only mine.”
“All this hickeys” he said as he kissed all the hickeys he had made on my body.
I started to feel horny as he started sucking on a sensitive spot on my neck.
He unlatched himself from my neck and started kissing me passionately. Soon I was kissing him back with equal fervor.
Next thing I knew, we were getting undressed on the couch and the sex began.
We fucked like rabbits on the couch, the desk and everywhere we could in that study.
I made sure to moan my loudest Incase Anne was close by just to spite her.

We had agreed that she would use a more subtle approach when she was asking to get close to Frankie.
She had been in love with Frankie for as long as I know and now it was just pure obsession.
“Why did you do that? Don’t you know that you had given Frankie more reason not to trust you. You think you are smart but you don’t know how smart he is.” I berrated her once we had stepped far away from Frankie’s study.
She didn’t reply for a while and it pissed me off.
“Hey! Am I not speaking to you?”
“Hawke, they have mated.”
“They mated already” she said with tears in her eyes.
“I had already seen the marks on her body as soon as Paula walked through the door. That is not something we can change so we need to forget it and deal with the issue on ground.”
She didn’t seem to be listening to me at all and I had the urge to slap her awake. Her warm and calm facade soon became an evil and menacing expression.
“That manipulative and dirty bitch mated with my Frankie. That musky witch that had been used and impregnated by Xayden had sex with my Frankie” she said as she smiled sinisterly and tears kept flowing down her cheeks.
“Calm down Anne. Remember and follow through with our plan and he will be yours soon. Don’t mess it up now just because they mated.”
She breathed in before she excused herself with an incoherent mutter and then sprinted to God knows where.
This woman was way too crazy and I was regretting working with her so much.
I didn’t have a choice though as she was the only means I had to show discord between Paula and Frankie.

For now she would just have to do with her craziness and all that.
I wondered if what all she said about Xayden and his mother was true because if it was I could use it to my advantage.
