My name's Evelyn Langley, and I'm one of the best damn cops this city's got.
Two weeks ago, we got a tip that turned my stomach—a secret underground club running some sick operation right under our noses. And the recent string of missing girls? Yeah, we're betting they're connected.
When the brass decided to send someone undercover, it came down to two choices: me or my sister, Vivian.
We both knew the risks. Neither of us backed down.
Vivian locked eyes with me, her gaze sharp as a blade. "Let me go, Evelyn. I'm fresh-faced. They'll buy my act easier."
As much as I wanted to shield her, she was right. A hardened cop like me would raise red flags. A rookie like her? Perfect bait.
The decision was made in seconds.
Two weeks later, when I saw her again, my blood ran cold.
She was drenched in sweat, her eyes hollow, her skin feverish. I barely caught her as she stumbled. "Vivian… what the hell did they do to you?"
She steadied herself, jaw set. "I'm fine. I've made it into the outer circle. There are hundreds of girls trapped inside, but I need to dig deeper. If I don't go back soon, they'll get suspicious."
The sight of her like that—broken but still fighting—made my hands shake with rage.
When she told me the next phase required recruiting new members, I didn't blink. "Then I'm going too. We end this together."
"But… they want two men and one woman."
"Then we bring Nathan and Daniel."
My husband, Nathan Roland, and his brother, Daniel—both cops, both ready for a fight.
Once we got the green light, Vivian led us inside.
But the second we crossed the threshold, the door locked behind us.
The room was a nightmare—cameras everywhere, a monstrous hydraulic bed at the center, shelves lined with tools that made my stomach twist.
Was this some kind of sick hazing ritual?
Nathan and Daniel looked like they'd seen a ghost.
This… this was insanity.
But Vivian?
No fear. No hesitation.
Instead, something dark flickered in her eyes—something I didn't recognize.
With a subtle signal, she told us to stay put. Then, like flipping a switch, her whole demeanor changed.
Hips swaying, she strutted toward the one-way mirror like she owned the place.
Who the hell was this woman?
