"Here you go, Toya!" Tsukasa says, handing me.. 100 dollars?! I shake my head, trying to give it back. I couldn't possibly accept this! "It's okay! I didn't have time to get you a gift, so here it is!"
"Plus, you're 16 now! Congratulations!" Saki squeals, hugging me. I smile, and thank them both without.. actual words.
They're the last guests here, and they leave. I shut the door, sitting next to Akito on my couch. He showed up.
"I wonder where An wa--" Akito says, and she kicks down my door, holding Azusawa. The door-!!
"Toya!" She shouts, scaring my cats again.
I tilt my head, and she walks up to me.
"I smell money. Did Tenma give that to you?!" She smiles, and walks up to me. I nod slowly, but Akito takes it.
"And why do you want it?" He raises an eyebrow. She scowls, and smirks.
"Because, I have a way you can double that, even quadruple!" An flips her hair, and Azusawa sighs.
I don't really have any interest in that.. I want to frame that money and hang it up as a memory.
"I see you're not convinced.. I'll go with you to the arcade. All of us." She pinches the bridge of her nose, and my eyes light up. I stand up, and put on my coat. "Woohoo! Now we're talking!!"
Akito and Azusawa let out deep, deep sighs once more.
"Isn't this.. a bit new to him?" Akito scoffs, holding his pan flute. Azusawa struggles to hold the guitar, and he notices, swapping.
There's a lot of Peruvian flute bands around us getting tips. Is this why she got the idea.?
"Thank you!" She smiles, then I accidentally drop my drum. They all stare at me, and I grow embarrassed.
"S Now." He glares at An, and she smirks again.
"What if I don't--"
"I will murder you right here, and right now with this guitar and the guitar alone."
".. I'll be a gentleman..." She trembles, taking my instrument and shoving the pan flute in my hand.
"Twinsies!" Azusawa giggles, and I smile.
"I'm so glad I married an adorable gyaru." An swoons, and her face turns beet red.
"You didn't marry her?" Akito raises an eyebrow.
"Well, she proposed with a ring pop so technically--" Before she can continue, a police jumps on her. What the-?!
"There's more!" One shouts, and grabs my wrist. Ouch-?
Akito glares at them, and I shiver. That's.. horror movie stuff. They let go a bit, and I sigh.
Wait, why are we-
"Never once did you think that we'd get arrested.. with all of them?"
An huffs, laying on Kohane's lap. She crosses her arms, pouting.
"Well, I didn't know so how would I think that!?" She snaps, getting a slap on the forehead by Akito.
"Stop yelling. I'm trying to sleep." He adjusts himself on my chest, laying down. When did this.?
"Whatever, gay ass."
"Shut the hell up."
After listening to them argue for a while, I wrap my hands around Akito, thinking he was a pillow. I blush, but he seems asleep so I don't do anything to wake up.
In the morning, An talked to a guard. It's now the afternoon, and now we're in a room.. with people in suits.
"Hello, I'm Megurine Luka. This is Meiko, my-"
"Do not." The brown haired lady says, glaring.
She giggles, and slams her hands on the desk.
"5 minutes. Go."
"Look! We aren't actually Peruvian, we just wanted to start a band!" An cries, slumping.
"A Peruvian flute band." Ms. Meiko raises her eyebrow, crossing her arms.
"Y-Yeah, but- we're not- I'm Hispanic! Half.." She panics, thinking.
"Are you stupid? Peruvian is like some sort of Latino or Hispanic, right..?" Akito tilts his head. The light is hurting my eyes.. I'm not Peruvian, that's for sure.
"I'm japanese." Azusawa says, and I nod.
"Same as the giraffe idiot. My dad is Salvadoran. They're divorced now, so don't ask me where he is." Akito points to An, who looks offended.
".. uh-huh.. wait, is- Peru like- Hispanic..?" Ms. Megurine turns to Ms. Meiko, who shrugs.
"That's not the point! Just because we may be in the same group as Peruvian people, doesn't mean we are -well, me and Akito- from there!" An justifies, standing up.
"So why did you become a Peruvian flute band? Do you know how dangerous they are now?"
"Dangerous?! Look, I just wanted money! Ever since school ended I haven't been getting as much as I used to!!" She slams her head on the table, and they look at each other.
".. do you sell drugs..?"
"NO!!"
"Pictures of my boyfriend." Akito scoffs. I nod, sighing.
"Oh, so you're queer. Huh." Ms. Megurine says. "Do we look homophobic right now-?"
"We're dating." Ms. Meiko rolls her eyes, looking down at us. She looks at all four of us individually, and turns around.
"Send them to Peru in the morning. Doesn't matter where they're from, they're getting it easy." She stops Ms. Megurine from objecting, who shuts her mouth.
".. Well, have fun you cute homosexuals! I'm gonna go make out intensely with her holy shit, have you seen her boobs? And the suit?! HELLO???" Ms. Megurine blushes, running out.
"I don't know why I needed to know that." Akito says, unamused.
We hear a thud on the wall as soon as the door shuts, and decide to stay silent.
".. so, um. Ignoring the fact two grown women are making out on the door, WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO IN PERU?!" An shrieks, flipping the table, scaring me.
"C-Calm down, An-chan-!!" She cries, holding onto her before she can break the glass.
Akito wraps his arm around me, yawning again.
"I'm gonna take a very long nap, in that case. Looks like they won't be letting us out anytime soon.. wanna join me?" He smirks, close to my face. Holy- does he know how attractive he is?! I nod a little too quickly, causing him to burst out laughing.
I blush, embarrassed of my eagerness but he brings me in the corner to hold me close to him.
"Uwaa!! An-chan!!!"
On the airplane, I grumble.
"Have you ever asked yourself that maybe your actions might have consequences?" I turn my notebook to An, slowly turning my head after. I just wanted to go to the arcade..
She rolls her eyes, turning away.
"Seriously, whenever we do something An's way, we always end up outside of Japan one way or another and in America or something. But now we're going to Peru." Akito snarls, crossing his arms.
"Oh, shut up! You're always taking Toya's side just like a husband to his wife! You two are just being dicks because we're on an airplane to Peru!" She shouts, and Azusawa pats her back.
"Honey, I think.. you really do mess up everything we do." Azusawa awkwardly laughs, and An immediately bursts into tears.
"Kohane, you hate me!! I'm walking off this plane!!" An says, but Azusawa struggles to keep her in her seat.
"Do it! Yay An Shiraishi, fly fly fly!" Akito cheers, waving his hands in the air.
My name is Toya Aoyagi. Last week was my birthday. My friend, Tsukasa gave me a 100 dollar bill. I was sooo happy. But then, a girl and her girlfriend came to my house and said I should use my money to invest in becoming a Peruvian flute band. She promised I would be able to take all of my friends to the arcade. But the government arrested us. Along with all the other Peruvian flute bands which my friends were in with their mikus (Our Miku got lost in the sea.) and took us into an internment camp in Miami. All the way in America. We begged to go home, but instead the government told us they were sending us to Peru and then aggressively made out in front of us.
And so that is why I am not writing in my notebook I got from the pilot who weirdly understood I had a communication disorder by our awkward eye contact.
"If I die, let it be known that it is because a lesbian girl that I don't even like and dragged her girlfriend along lied to me and took my birthday money." I practically shove my notebook in her face, and she pushes it away.
"We didn't lie to you Toya, it was a sweet idea!" She glares, and Azusawa agrees.
"Sorry, I didn't check if Peruvian flute bands were outdated or not." She tries getting signal. I see Akito in the corner, laughing. So he thinks this is funny, huh. Congratulations sleeping 6 feet away from me.
