After I gave kisses and hugs to my big dogs, they finally settled and stopped fighting with each other as if they never fought in the first place.
Lawrence got up and went to the kitchen to cook our breakfast, while Elijah also went back to his room to clean and do his morning ritual. Then Ishid also took the cleaning tool to start cleaning the living room.
Leaving I, Drake, and also the lovey-dovey couple who just woke up and were shocked when they saw the Alphas, cleaning the mansion and were about to help too but these Alphas declined their request to help and said that they could do it by themselves.
I gestured to the couple to sit on the chair, which they did while at the same time, Kale also glanced at Ishid who was mopping the floor while Lawrence was now frying for our breakfast.
“Are they sure that they don’t want our help? It’s embarrassing that we were staying in your mansion yet we didn’t do anything to help.” It was Kale who shyly said his cheeks were slightly reddened from embarrassment.
I let out a soft chuckle as I shook my head. “Don’t worry too much about it since those two always do that early in the morning. You will get used to it in the future.”
Kale just nodded his head but his face showed embarrassment. After all, in Havoc’s mansion, he was always the one who cooked and clean since it had been his habit ever since he was a kid and habits can’t easily die that’s why when Havoc proposed to let the chef and maids do those things, Kale was uncomfortable and requested that he doesn’t need chef and maids. That he can do it on his own.
After all, at that time, Kale was insecure about himself and was afraid that if he acted pompously, he would lose his value. The same way that he had lost his value in the eyes of his family. He was afraid that Havoc would hate him and would shoo him away that’s why even though his body was weak, he would be the one who took the initiative to clean, wash the dishes, wash the clothes, cook for breakfast and anything else that a servant supposed to do until he passed out because there was a lot of work needed to do especially that he was living in a big mansion.
Ever since that day, Havoc was afraid to let him do anything and even hired a lot of butlers and maids. But since Havoc knows that Kale would be uncomfortable if he doesn’t have anything to do, so he left the kitchen for Kale and he can do anything with it.
I glanced at Kale who was uncomfortable and embarrassed. I let out a soft chuckle as I shook my head. “You are already a big help since we would be asking if the two of you are interested to go to the B City and to spy if those witches were using another identity to enter the City. Since they already know that we are watching them and know that they could fabricate their appearance, who knows what their witch leader was thinking, if she may be in a bad mood, she would order her subordinates to slip inside the City and then slaughter those innocent people. It would be a disaster.”
When Kale heard that, his eyes trembled as he looked at Havoc as if he was asking for permission.
Havoc softly smiled at him as his hand patted Kale’s head. “You can do what you want, I would support it as long as it won’t harm you and besides, I would be here to protect you as well.”
Hearing this, Kale’s eyes brightened and he looked at me with a bright smile plastered on his face. “Yes! Yes! We will go with you. I’ve been planning to drive out those witches who wanted to harm those innocent people even though I have this frail body but since you suggested it, I am very glad to help!”
Seeing him this way, I couldn’t help but chuckle as I nodded my head. “I know, that’s why I suggested it to you. I’m also glad that you will lend you hand.”
Kale smiled shyly and nodded his head. “Well, those witches also targeted me so I can’t just sit around and relax while waiting for them to appear in front of me.” Then his face became serious as he added, “Actually, one of Havoc’s guards who were spies those witches, reported that those witches are already making a move.”
