"Joshua Holland?" Emilia's eyes lit up. "I know him. My male is Deputy Chief of Staff in his guard corps. We're super tight."
At that, something seemed to click for Emilia. She looked at Veronica in surprise. "Oh my goodness. Are you that S-level female?"
Veronica nodded, a little embarrassed, and offered a shy smile.
Emilia instantly got excited. "Joshua was just bragging to us earlier, saying his bondmate is an S-level female.
"We all thought he was bluffing and figured maybe he'd lost it after being without a female for so long. What are the odds? I can't believe we ran into each other like this."

Veronica smiled, "I'm Veronica Byrne."

Emilia thought for a moment. "He's probably in the conference room with Gabriel and the others. When I left earlier, the two of them were saying they had something to discuss. I'm guessing it's about the Interstellar Raiders."
Veronica smiled with delight when she heard that. She gave Emilia a warm look and asked softly, "Could you take me to him?"
Emilia blinked her bright eyes and answered without hesitation, "Of course, Veronica. Come on, I'll take you straight to Joshua."
The two of them walked side by side, the atmosphere between them easy and friendly.
Emilia couldn't help but start complaining about Joshua, "You know, Joshua is such a workaholic. Every time I want to hang out with Gabriel, he always comes up with something and drags Gabriel away. It's so annoying."
Veronica laughed at that, clearly amused. She agreed with a smile, "Joshua really is super responsible. Maybe he just gets too caught up in work."
Emilia chuckled, "But now that he has you, I bet you'll keep him in check."
Then she asked curiously, "Veronica, your psychic power is S-level. What does that even feel like? I've always wondered. I'm only B-level.
"The highest we have here in the Central District is A+ level, and now you're S-level? I've never even heard of a female with power that high since I got here."
Veronica smiled softly and thought for a moment before answering, "Honestly, it's hard to put into words. Having S-level psychic power means I can sense everything around me much more clearly, like the whole world is within reach.
"But that doesn't mean I can control everything—it's more like I can pick up on the smallest shifts and changes. And it makes bonding with males a lot easier."
She scratched her head. "But I still haven't learned to control my psychic power well. I keep overusing it."
Emilia listened with fascination and couldn't help but marvel. "That's amazing. So you grew up in the Holland family—does that mean you and Joshua are childhood sweethearts? Gabriel and I are too. He talks a ton. I'll introduce you later."
Veronica shook her head with a smile. "Not exactly."
She paused, trying to think of how to phrase it. After all, she couldn't really tell anyone she wasn't from this world. So she said, "I did grow up in the Holland family, but Joshua and I weren't exactly childhood sweethearts."
Emilia seemed a little surprised by that answer. She blinked and asked, "Oh, I see. Got it. So you must've met Joshua later on, right?
"Even though you grew up in the Holland family, Joshua didn't need a female at the time. Then once you got older, he finally needed a female's psychic power."
Before Veronica could even think about how to respond, Emilia had already come up with an explanation for her on her own.
She bumped Veronica's shoulder and gave her a teasing grin. "You two really are a perfect match."
