Although Stephen fell down the stairs, his body had no other issues and could be discharged directly.
"Uncle, can I live with you?" Stephen begged.
Hurley thought for a moment, "Since it's been a while since Stephen saw his mommy, then live with your mommy."
"But I..."
Hurley glanced at Hurley, who still seemed a bit scared, and could only reluctantly agree, "Alright then."
After settling Stephen's matters, Hurley received a call from the housekeeper.
"Mr. Walton, something's wrong! Miss Anabel is having an episode!"
"What?" Hurley didn't have time to soothe his throbbing temples, "I'll be right back."
Hurley rushed home at the fastest speed, "Where's Anabel?"
"Miss Anabel just fell asleep."
"What exactly happened?" Why did Anabel suddenly fall sick again?
The housekeeper explained, "Miss Anabel came back and locked herself in her room, refusing to eat or come out. We were worried, so we used the spare key to open the door. We found Miss Anabel having seizures. After feeding her the medicine you sent before, her condition improved, and then she fell asleep."
The medicine Hurley sent was obtained by exchanging five percent of the shares with Night. Even the renowned doctors couldn't analyze its components.
After Anabel took it once, her health improved significantly.
Worried, Hurley rushed upstairs, opened the door, and saw Anabel on the bed.
A small figure, like a sleeping little fairy.
She still had swollen eyes, indicating she had cried for a long time. Thinking about Sophie's words, maybe he wasn't attentive enough to Anabel.
Anabel was sensitive, and her health wasn't good. Hurley took a moment to reflect.
Speaking of it, both of these kids seemed to really like Sophie. Affection wasn't always expressed in words; it could be seen on their faces. Knowing they could have a meal with Sophie, Anabel had been extremely happy these past few days. It was a happiness Hurley hadn't seen in a long time.
Hurley had a headache. What was there to like about Sophie? She seemed to have enchanted both kids thoroughly!
Hurley stayed by Anabel's bedside for a long time until it was broad daylight. The housekeeper finally came over, "Sir, why don't you rest for a while? You haven't had a break for a whole day and night."
Although Hurley wasn't tired, he realized he hadn't properly refreshed himself after a day of busy work. He decided to take a quick shower before checking on Anabel.
Anabel was a clean little girl, and he couldn't appear in front of his daughter covered in sweat.
After taking a shower and changing into clean clothes, as he prepared to check on Anabel, he found that the door to her room was locked again.
"Anabel, Anabel! Open the door!"
"Uncle!" came Stephen's voice from outside, as he spoke, he climbed the stairs, "Good morning, Uncle. I came to check on Anabel."
Originally ready to open the door, Anabel, upon hearing Hurley's voice, retracted her hand.
Anabel leaned against the door. She wouldn't open it. She disliked Stephen.
Stephen would hit her, pinch her, lock her in a dark room, and even snatch her daddy away.
Anabel didn't want to come out. No matter what Hurley said, she had no intention of opening the door.
