In the top-floor conference room of Hollis Group, the projector blazed with harsh white light.
I clicked the remote. The screen began playing an audio recording.
【The day before the wedding, I'll arrange a plane crash.】 Derek's voice came through crystal clear. 【Then I'll take Rachel abroad. As for Sienna, you three need to keep her busy.】
Lucien's laughter echoed from the recording: 【Don't worry, we'll make sure she has no energy to look for you.】
The reporters in the conference room erupted in chaos. Camera flashes strobed frantically.
I stood on the stage, my expression serene.
"This was recorded a year ago." I clicked to the next video.
The surveillance footage clearly showed Rachel deliberately pulling me into the water. Those four men? Not one extended a helping hand.
"And this clip is from the horse stable surveillance three months ago."
Asher took the remote. The screen revealed one of Caleb's men injecting drugs into the horses while another poured mysterious white powder into the feed trough.
The faces of the elite circle's most influential figures turned ashen. Once this evidence went public, these four top-tier families would be utterly destroyed. The corporations that had partnered with them wouldn't escape unscathed either.
The news spread faster than wildfire.

Derek's stocks hit the daily limit down at market open. Partners scrambled to terminate contracts.
Lucien's pharmaceutical company got busted for using banned substances. Caleb's real estate projects were shut down for construction violations.
Raven had it worst—his private equity fund faced money laundering charges. The cops dragged him away in cuffs.
Rachel got cornered by paparazzi outside her apartment building. Someone ripped off her wig, exposing her patchy scalp—a side effect from long-term psychiatric medication.
She crouched on the ground screaming while camera flashes captured every humiliating moment.
I watched coldly from my car as the window slowly rolled up.
"Satisfied?" Asher asked.
I shook my head. "One final step remains."
Meanwhile, Derek smashed everything breakable in his office.
"Asher... Sienna..." His eyes bloodshot, he pulled a gun from his safe.
"I want you dead!"
He sped toward Hollis Tower but got cut off by a truck at the intersection.
Derek yanked the steering wheel hard. His car spun out of control and slammed into the guardrail.
As the airbag deployed, he spotted Asher's assistant Leon in the opposite vehicle, speaking into his phone.
Derek finally understood. This "accident" was Asher's farewell gift.
Back in the office, I peeled an apple while watching TV.
The news anchor reported: 【Former heir Derek critically injured in car crash, charged with attempted murder, now in police custody.】
Asher lounged on the sofa. "In your past life, everything they did to you has now come back to bite them."
I cut the apple into small pieces and fed him a slice. "I know. But it's not enough."
"Hmm?"
"They haven't finished paying what they owe you."
I wiped my hands and pulled out a document. "Derek's core patent source codes now belong to you."
Asher raised an eyebrow. "How'd you get those?"
I winked. "Derek's computer password was the date he first met Rachel."
I chuckled softly. "Thank God he's such a hopeless romantic."
A month later, the court delivered its final verdict. Derek received life imprisonment.
Asher and I sat in the back row of the gallery, watching the once-mighty heir get led away in shackles.
As Derek passed us, he suddenly lunged forward. "Sienna! You loved me most! Why are you doing this to me?!"
Asher immediately shielded me with his body.
While the bailiffs restrained Derek, I whispered something only he could hear: "The me who loved you in my past life died that rainy night when you all watched me drown."
Derek froze like he'd been struck by lightning. The guards roughly dragged him away.
Outside the courthouse, golden sunshine bathed everything.
Asher suddenly caught my hand. "Do you still hate them?"
I gazed up at the brilliant blue sky and exhaled deeply. "Not anymore."
I turned and wrapped my arms around Asher, burying my face against his chest. "In this life, I only want to love you properly."
Asher kissed the top of my head. "Let's go home, Mrs. Hollis."
In the distance, Lucien and the other two fled from swarming reporters and media. Their car had already headed in the completely opposite direction.
