At night, Damon was confined to the punishment room. Matilda and Stephen also went to the Walton family together. Hurley was initially not very agreeable, but Stephen knew how to act cute.
Sophie quietly took Anabel back, anyway, even if Hurley found out, there wasn't much he could do. On the other hand, Hurley kept calling her repeatedly, even in the evening, which irritated Sophie a lot.
"Hurley, will you ever stop?" Hurley cleared his throat, "Where is my daughter?"
"Eating, do you need something?"
This afternoon, Sophie took the two children to the supermarket and bought a lot of delicious food, all of which the two children wanted to eat. Then, she prepared a big feast by herself. Now, the two children are enjoying their meal.
"What are they eating?" Hurley lowered his voice.
"What does it have to do with you?"
"How does it not? My daughter's food is carefully planned by a nutritionist every day, and I have to approve it."
Although these are all excuses, the nutritionist was personally chosen by Hurley. Normally, Hurley is busy, and he doesn't need to know what the children eat for every meal.
Sophie patiently listed tonight's menu. There are only two children and one adult, but Sophie prepared several dishes. Some were elaborate dishes, and some were simple home-cooked ones. After hearing the menu, Hurley suddenly felt that the meals at home were not appetizing at all.
He wanted to eat what Sophie cooked.
"How is it, any problems?" Sophie inquired after hearing the silence on the other end of the phone.
"No problems. Have you finished eating?"
"Of course not, I'm not a pig." Moreover, even if the two children ate a lot, they couldn't finish it all, and there was still a lot left.
"Got it," Hurley responded.
Sophie: "?"
Got what?
Just then, Sophie heard a voice coming from the other end of the phone, "Hurley, it's time to eat." It was Matilda's voice.
Oh, Hurley is living quite well, spending every day with Matilda. This scoundrel Hurley, not marrying her and still stringing her along!
"Hey, someone is waiting for you to have dinner, Hurley. Since you're with Matilda, why bother calling me?"
"Next time, when you have a woman by your side, don't bother calling me. I find it disgusting!"
Before Hurley could say anything, the phone was hung up again. Just like in the morning, straightforward and decisive.
Hurley: "..."
Matilda hasn't left yet? He had no idea about this. After being busy in the study for a while, he had asked Matilda to leave in the afternoon.
Hurley went downstairs from the second floor, and Matilda was still wearing an apron, "Hurley, come down for dinner."
At a glance, it was clear that Matilda had personally cooked the meal. Who would have thought that a big star like Matilda had actually taken cooking classes before?
Hurley glanced at the food but had no appetite at all. Holding the car keys, he prepared to leave, "The house will be locked at ten. After eating, take Stephen back."
The implication was clear—if they didn't leave by ten, he would have to kick them out.
"Hurley, aren't you eating? Where are you going?" Matilda finally had a chance to show herself, thinking that she could make a meal for Hurley today.
Even though she had learned culinary skills, she never had the chance to cook for Hurley. He had been too busy before, and he never got to eat any of her meals.
"It has nothing to do with you."
After saying that, he left the villa without looking back. Maybe there was something going on at the company, Matilda consoled herself. Hurley is passionate about his work, so it should only be work-related matters that could make him go out late at night.
