Matilda stared at Stella, awaiting her response. "What do you want me to say?
"Say that this was all planned, but you didn't even attend the banquet, so I stepped in to help you!"
Matilda smirked coldly, "I planned it? Wasn't it your doing? Stella, you're incredibly naive. Neither of you should have admitted anything without my say."
Sophie interrupted, "Stella, I didn't succeed in predicting your fate last night, but I have nothing to say to you. Your attempt to manipulate Hurley against me was heartless."
Matilda seemed unhinged. She refused to bow down to Sophie, no matter the circumstances.
She questioned why she should seek forgiveness from Sophie. If Sophie doesn't forgive her, won't she live?
Even if Hurley was cruel and wanted her to disappear forever, she would take Stephen with him.
She wanted Hurley to live with eternal regret and sorrow. and she wanted Hurley to live in pain for the rest of his life.
In the worst case, it would be a dead end, and her life would not be saved.
"You can do whatever you want. You can kill me if you can, but as long as I live, I can't just watch you get away with it. I'll make your life a living hell," Matilda warned vehemently.
Even Hurley frowned and walked cautiously next to Sophie, fearing what Matilda, a lunatic, would do to Sophie.
Matilda is simply crazy. He shouldn't have been too kind to Matilda from the beginning when his eldest brother left.
"Silence her!" Hurley ordered the bodyguards behind him.
Matilda laughed maniacally, "Hahaha! Sophie, Hurley doesn't love me, and he won't love you either. His heart belongs to someone else, and you can never replace her! My fate will be your future!"
Matilda was well aware of Hurley's enduring love for "Cersei Winters". He had relentlessly searched for her even after learning of her supposed demise and had recently uncovered new information and DNA evidence.
She concocted a new scheme on the spot. If "Cersei Winters" was returning, why not arrange for her?
Matilda grinned wickedly, eager to witness Sophie's reaction to this new twist.
"Matilda!" Hurley sharply called out, trying to intervene.
As he was about to explain the situation to Sophie, she cut in, "I don't have feelings for him, so whether he has someone in his heart is irrelevant to me."
"I'm not interested in understanding your fate," she added coldly, leaving Hurley speechless.
Everything Hurley wanted to explain was blocked in his throat because of Sophie's words.
When Sophie said she didn't like him, it was so natural, as if she really had no feelings for him at all.
Did Sophie truly not care for him?
An unexplained rage surged within him, desiring Sophie's undivided attention.
Matilda continued her hysterical laughter, further unsettling the situation.
Originally, he wanted Matilda to come over and admit his mistake, but it ended up like this.
Hurley, worried about Sophie, promptly ordered his men to escort the three women out.
Just as they reached the exit, Sophie's voice halted Matilda, "Matilda."
