Hurley gave her an awful look. Was Matilda treating him like a fool? Does she think he would believe such words from her?
Even when he had seen this scene when he had entered the room, he had never thought that Sophie would have done it.
He knew that Sophie was not the kind of person to do that.
"Hurley, don't you believe me?"
"How can I believe you?" Hurley looked at her indifferently.
"Then how can you trust Sophie? I have known you for so many years, but how long do you think you have known her for? A few months?"
So she couldn't believe that having known her for so long could not be compared to someone who had only known her for a few months.
"Yes, we have known each other for many years, but after all these years, I still have no idea what kind of person you are, Matilda. I should say that your acting skills are too good."
Only then did Hurley feel like a fool. He had no idea what Matilda's true face was like at all.
Was his big brother also deceived by Matilda's pretty looks, which was why he loved Matilda so much?
"I have never pretended, I am real before you. "
But Hurley did not want to believe that now.
When you get to see a person's true color, you can tell what their true intentions at a glance, no matter how they pretend.
He said coldly. "Stephen is in the operating room right now, but I don't understand why you are not that worried about him."
"I am very worried. I'm especially worried. This is my child, Hurley. All I want is for you to catch the bad guy who did this to Stephen, and it is Sophie."
"Matilda, do you really think I'm stupid? Since you're not interested in Stephen, you shouldn't bother coming here. Stephen has no need of a mother like you!"
Having said that, Hurley immediately took out his cell phone, made a phone call, and had Matilda taken away from him.
Of course he would find out if Matilda did it.
There are just some things that are terrible when you think about it.
If it was really Matilda, and if Stephen was Matilda's biological son, and if Matilda could afford to be so cruel, then there was nothing that she couldn't do.
This would make Hurley seriously doubt what Matilda had done.
Hurley sent people to do an investigation on Matilda, but he was still at the door of the operating room.
It has been almost six hours, but there seems to be little progress happening inside the operationg room. But with Night there, there should be no problem.
Even though he has never met Night before, Hurley has the feeling that Night has an inexplicable power, and that you will believe in her abilities without question.
The minutes and seconds went by. Hurley had already forgotten how long it took for the lights to go out in the operating room.
Hurley stood up, his heart pounding against his chest once more. It's okay, Stephen's going to be okay, he thought.
After a while a doctor came out. Hurley couldn't wait to ask. "Doctor, what is going to happen? Is my son going to be okay?"
In Hurley's heart of hearts, Stephen is his son as well.
"Luckily Night is here to take care of everything, but the patient is still in a critical stage and must be under observation in the intensive care unit. If he survives, he will be all right, but if he does not survive, not even the gods will be able to save him".
"Then where is Night now?" Hurley wanted to treat her to a meal as well.
"Night has left." Even they didn't see Night's face, they only knew that she was a very young girl.
"Left?" Hurley hadn't expected her to be so mysterious, coming and going like the wind.
"Then describe to me what Night looks like?" He has to find Night.
