"Are you going to find Damon?" Hurley asked with an uncertain look.
"It's ....... Yes?" Damon started to get nervous in her heart.
The big bad man with that look on his face, like there was a feeling of something big and bad, did he find something?
What did he just say wrong?
Damon's heart does not have a bottom either, after all, he just came out to eat and did not even think that he would run into Hurley, he also did not tell Jake about it in advance.
Could it be that Hurley had a suspicion about it and then asked the Walton family and found out that it wasn't Jake at all but Damon?
"Turn around and go back to Sophie's place!" Hurley ordered the driver.
Wasn't Sophie going to meet Jake? It just so happened that he hadn't seen Damon either, so why not take the boy over there just so he could meet him... He also wanted to see Sophie's son and what he looked like.
"Why did you turn around all of a sudden? Did you drop something?"
"No."
"Then there's something else?" If he turned around and ran into Mommy, wouldn't he be in trouble?
Damon's heart raced with fear; he'd never felt this way before, not even during a fire!
"Shouldn't we find Damon? Daddy can take you," Hurley offered.
Help! Somebody help! Help!
This wasn't the plan! He should get out now!
"I suddenly don't want to go. Can we just go home?" Damon stammered.
"Why? Don't you want to see her?"
I... I..." Damon struggled to come up with a good excuse.
"I'll go next time and bring Anabel!" Damon had the feeling that he must have made a mistake somewhere for the Big Bad Guy to suddenly change his mind and want to go back.
"No need to wait for next time; we're going now."
"Weren't you saying you were going to punish me for not telling you beforehand, and won't let me leave? Why don't you keep your word?" Damon challenged.
Hurley paused, a little confused. Hadn't his previous words indicated that he didn't want to let go? Why was Jake now hesitating when given the chance?
Hurley replied, "Daddy noticed that you were behaving well, so I decided to let you go this time."
"But I'm still upset and I don't want to go!" Damon feigned anger and turned his head away.
"Don't you really like Aunt Sophie? You seemed eager to go earlier."
Hurley found Damon's behavior increasingly confusing.
Hurley increasingly felt that Sophie, Damon, Jake, and possibly Anabel, were hiding something from him.
And he needs to get to the bottom of it!
"Right!" Hurley was determined. "We have to go, even if you don't want to."
But Damon was quick to retreat. He secretly messaged Jake, quickly explaining the situation and asking for his help, and thinking of a solution as well.
The car soon stopped at the original location. Hurley got out, lifted Damon in his arms, and headed back to Sophie's residence.
Standing in front of Sophie's door, he rang the bell.
Damon crouched down, covering his face. He pondered how he would explain the situation to his mother if she answered the door. Both his parents were perceptive; any excuse he came up with would likely be easily detected.
Should he try to run away now?
But escaping from the Big Bad Guy was no easy task, and doing so would only arouse further suspicion.
Damon found himself in a real dilemma. Who would have thought that he and Jake would look so much alike, inheriting both of their parents' strong genes?
As Hurley pressed the doorbell again and received no response, he began to wonder if Sophie was deliberately ignoring him after seeing it was him outside.
With that thought, Hurley decided to call Sophie.
