When the Harrington family heard Dr. Sanders' words, they were shocked. Goosebumps began to form on their skin.
What if Night isn't there? What could have happened to Mrs. Harrington?
"Mom, this is really scary. Please, please rest." Alana cried.
"Maya, thank you so much." Mrs. Harrington took Maya's hand. "You are my savior, and the Harrington family can't thank you enough!"
"Auntie, what are you talking about? It's what everyone should do," Maya replied with a smile, but a hint of guilt flickered in her eyes.
To be able to revive a person after their heart had stopped beating for such a long time, and to make sure that there was no problem with the patient's body, was something that Maya knew that she couldn't do.
Only Night could do that.
The fact that Night had saved someone was an indication that the real Night had in fact been present at the party.
Maya felt a little bit of guilt when she realized that. She was afraid that the real Night was going to show up and expose her fake identity to everyone.
But with the knowledge that the scope of her impersonation was limited to the members of the Harrington family, Maya had the feeling that it couldn't be such a coincidence.
And what if they found out she wasn't Night? She had never admitted to being Night. It was just an assumption on her part.
Even though she was not the one who had saved the person in the garden, she still played a role in getting Mrs. Harrington back to her room. And then she checked on Mrs. Harrington from time to time.
Hurley could hear the conversation clearly from outside. Even though there was no explicit mention of the fact that it was Night, the implication was clear. It was Night who was in the room.
Hurley walked up to the door and knocked on it.
"Who is it?" Vernon asked.
"Mr. Harrington, it's me, Hurley," he replied.
The door to the medical room opened and Vernon looked at Hurley and Sophie.
"Why did you come here, Mr. Walton?"
"I had heard that your cruise ship also has a very large infirmary that is full of the most advanced medical equipment. So I wanted to see it for myself," Hurley explained.
"I had no idea you were interested in such things?" Vernon raised an eyebrow, obviously skeptical.
"Of course, nothing can be hidden from your eyes, Mr. Harrington. I have just heard that Night has saved another human being, so I have come here because of his reputation."
Hurley looked inside. There were not many people in the room and only one face he did not recognize.
The woman standing next to Mrs. Harrington looked very young and wore exquisite makeup.
This person is probably Night.
"Mr. Walton, I'm afraid you've misunderstood. How could Night be here? It's just that my wife hasn't been feeling well and she happened to run into Dr. Sanders from the Rustavi Hospital and asked him to come over and show her to my wife," Vernon replied, keeping Maya's role a secret.
Vernon hadn't forgotten what Maya had said and didn't want his identity known to others, so he hid it.
Hurley's expression said nothing about whether he believed Vernon's explanation or not.
"Really? I wonder who that could be?" Hurley looked at Maya.
Maya raised her head. When she met Hurley's gaze, her pupils constricted slightly.
His appearance was impeccable, but his eyes were so penetrating that it was difficult for her to maintain eye contact with him.
This was undoubtedly the famous Hurley Walton!
And the woman next to him was Sophie.
Facing Sophie, Maya always felt like she couldn't hold her head up. It was a feeling that had been with her ever since she was a child.
No matter how hard she worked and no matter what awards she won as a child and showed off in front of Sophie, she never saw a look of envy on Sophie's face.
Sophie didn't seem to care at all about other people's accomplishments. She didn't care if others were better than her or not as good as her. She was just focused on doing her own thing.
She is oblivious to the efforts of others who have to work extra hard to surpass her.
