Hurley couldn't help but wonder if Damon didn't like him. Damon always hid or called him a bad guy whenever he saw him.
The more Hurley thought about it, the more he felt it was a possibility.
If he was to be with Sophie in the future, he would have to conquer this little rascal first. Hurley decided to find a way to get along with Damon more and make Damon warm up to him.
Having not slept much in the past two days, Hurley had enjoyed a good night's sleep at Sophie's place.
After breakfast, Hurley didn't rush to leave. Sophie handed him a new bath towel, saying, "Why do you smell so salty? Did you take a dip in the sea or something?"
Hurley replied with a smirk, "Not exactly," thinking of the salted fish he had encountered in a nearby fishing village.
"I'll go take a shower," he announced.
"I don't have the clothes for you to wear, you'd better prepare yourself first!" Sophie warned.
She didn't want to see Hurley come out naked again later. It was not suitable for children. She had three children here.
"I've asked Chris to bring some over. They should arrive soon,"
That's not bad. Sophie waved her hand and told Hurley to take a shower quickly.
Not long after, the doorbell rang. Sophie opened the door and saw Chris at the door, and several people following Chris.
"Ms. Hades," Chris greeted politely.
"Come in," Sophie asked everyone to come in.
Chris carried the clothes. Sophie pointed him to the bathroom. Chris put the clothes at the door of the bathroom.
As for the people behind Chris, some were carrying computers and some were holding documents. They quickly placed everything on the table, which soon transformed from an empty surface to a cluttered workspace.
After exchanging brief greetings, Chris and the others left promptly.
Sophie couldn't help but feel a little overwhelmed by the sudden transformation of her living space.
Not long after, the bathroom door opened and Hurley came out dressed neatly.
The clothes Chris brought him were shirts and suits. Just because he had washed his hair, Hurley did not comb his hair up this time. There was less of a businesslike indifference, but more of a homely feel.
Seeing Hurley like this was a rare sight for Sophie, and Sophie couldn't help but take a second look.
It has to be said that this man's face is so beautiful. When he stops being the CEO, he can still go to the entertainment industry. It's like he's been blessed by the heavens...
Hurley came out and was not surprised at all when he saw so many documents on the table.
Perplexed, Sophie asked, "Hurley, are you planning to use my living room as your office?"
Hurley has been on a business trip for a few days, and the Walton Group has a lot of official business that he has to deal with.
Hurley had already made this idea, so Hurley had the documents that needed to be signed directly and delivered to Sophie, and he also had someone bring a computer.
It's definitely some of his official business.
"Since you're back, why not work at the office?" Sophie suggested.
It would be more convenient no matter what if we were in the company.
Hurley responded, "Today is the weekend. Going to the office would mean working overtime,"
Sophie sighed inwardly.
Doesn't it count as working overtime when Hurley works here now?
"Why not just work from your own house?" Although her apartment was spacious at nearly 200 square meters, it paled in comparison to Hurley's grand villa.
Hurley looked up, his deep eyes focused solely on Sophie. Though no words were spoken, Sophie felt a jolt, as if electrified.
"Forget it, just get on with your work," she muttered, turning away and heading back to the room.
Jake was playing with Damon in the room, while Anabel was reading beside Hurley.
The books she read contained very professional financial knowledge that even college students might not be able to understand.
Meanwhile, Sophie juggled numerous matters. She received a call from her third brother who warned her that their grandfather was planning some unspecified actions in the capital. What these actions entailed, he couldn't say.
Sophie held her forehead, her grandfather must have come to Tbilisi to look for her.
Hurley was deeply engrossed in his work, handling urgent company matters when he received a message from Chris about Maya reaching out to him.
"Tell her to get to the point," Hurley instructed. Though he had repaid his debt to Night with shares, he was still willing to lend a hand if needed, especially considering possible future favors.
"She wants to buy Michaels's shares," Chris relayed.
Michaels's shares are not in the hands of Hurley but are in the hands of Sophie. If they want to be sold, Hurley really can't make the decision.
Recalling Sophie's strategic game of chess where she'd discovered Emily's betrayal and that Erika wasn't Daniel's biological child, Hurley mused on these intriguing developments.
"Sophie," Hurley called Sophie's name.
"Yes?"
"How many shares of Lin's shares do you still have?"
"Why, Maya is looking for you?" Sophie raised her eyes and guessed it right away. "Is Maya contacting you about the shares?"
Hurley nodded. "Well, she wants them all,"
"I still have thirty-eight percent, all of which must be acceptable and according to the market price," Sophie replied.
Maya came to Hurley, obviously because he wanted Hurley to pay less.
But this was Sophie's matter, and Hurley would naturally not interfere. He told Chris that if Chris and Maya took over the matter, the price would be high.
"Mr. Walton, Ms. Michaels also wishes to meet with you," Chris added.
"Fine, let her know I'll be accompanied by someone," Hurley responded.
Let alone one person, even if he brings ten people, Maya doesn't have any objections.
"Maya wants to discuss something with you," Chris conveyed.
"She wants to date you, right?" Sophie cut straight to the point.
"That's the gist of it," Hurley confirmed.
Given Maya's eagerness to seal the deal, Sophie saw no reason to decline.
Although Emily was unwilling to move out, after that incident, Daniel went home directly and threw out all of Emily's things.
She heard that the two started to quarrel and fight again, and Daniel was even sent to the hospital by Ralph. After all, how could Daniel beat Ralph?
Daniel was naturally dissatisfied and found a group of people to take revenge. As a result, everyone ended up in the hospital together.
Now, with all their secrets laid bare, Emily seemed ready to sever all ties. As long as Daniel is dead, how can so many things happen?
In short, it is very chaotic now. Sophie is not in a hurry to take back his house. Sophie found amusement in watching their self-inflicted drama unfold rather than rushing to reclaim her property.
Hurley continued to work and received a call midway. "It's there? Okay, I'll be right over!"
After saying that, Hurley stood up and said, "Sophie, I need to step out for a bit,"
That way, he looked quite anxious.
