Sophie did go back to Andorra, but after getting off the plane, she didn't even go to her grandfather's house, and went directly to her research room instead.
In Andorra, Sophie had an advanced research laboratory equipped with state-of-the-art medical instruments. Over the years, she had spent a considerable amount of time conducting experiments in this lab.
Usually when Sophie is not there, her assistant, Amy, often took charge to do some experiments here.
When Amy came back from this evening, she was shocked to see Sophie.
"Night, why did you come back all of a sudden? And you didn't even say a word to me before you did so!" Amy had been following Sophie for years.
"A friend attempted suicide by drinking pesticides. I came back to research a possible antidote," Sophie replied.
Sophie came back and it had nothing to do with Hurley. It was all for saving this person that Hurley fished out of the water.
The mention of pesticides made Amy pause. "Pesticides? Can they be that lethal?"
Sophie nodded gravely. "Yes."
Amy was well aware that excessive use of the substance couldn't be salvaged.
Which friend could persuade Night to return to the laboratory?
After coming back from the evening, she went directly into her laboratory. She recognized this pesticide, commonly used for weed control. Its potency was evident, causing treated plants to wither in less than a day.
There is no specific antidote to this pesticide. Its primary targets were the lungs, liver, and kidneys. Poisoning could lead to death within three days due to respiratory failure and organ dysfunction. If the patient is being helped by the hospital's mechanical ventilation or hemoperfusion, they might only survive for about 20 days.
But at this time, the damage caused by the patient's body will be difficult to reverse, making recovery near to almost impossible.
Even if the organ is replaced, the probability of survival is very small.
Sophie purchased a bottle of the potent pesticide in question. The smell of pesticides was unusually pungent as she looked at its ingredients, and then she began her research.
One night, she didn't come out of the laboratory, and until the next day, Sophie hadn't slept a wink.
Sophie had let Damon return home alone after their flight, not even reaching out to her grandfather. Consequently, she remained unaware of Hurley's presence.
Meanwhile, Hurley disembarked from the plane and headed straight to the Hades family residence.
The Hades family, located in Andorra, was renowned as the wealthiest family in the region, with a reputation extending throughout the country.
Especially the grandchildren of Mr. Hades, all of which are prominent figures, excelling in their respective fields.
Notably, the eldest grandson, Pietro Hades, had expanded the family's wealth exponentially within a short period after assuming leadership. His business acumen was truly impressive.
However, Pietro spent most of his time abroad and rarely stayed in Andorra.
The scenery of Andorra is unparalleled.
The villa of the Hades family is on the seaside. From there, one can see a vast expanse of the sea, and this sea area is still the Hades family's private sea area.
Hurley brought a lot of gifts at this time. This was the first time he will visit Sophie's family, and when Mr. Hades heard that Hurley was coming, he asked the maid to prepare a table of lavis meals.
Damon went downstairs and saw his Grandpa, who was drying some fish in the sun.
After the old man came down in his spare time, he liked to grow flowers and fish in the yard.
"Grandpa, I see that the servants are busy. Are there any guests coming?" Damon asked.
When the old man saw Damon, he quickly put down the things in his hand and beckoned him over. ""Yes, didn't your grandpa tell you about the potential suitor for your mother? It was the one that goes by the name of Hurley Walton. He said that he came to Andorra today and wanted to come to see me."
"Damon, when you were in Tbilisi, you also saw this person. Tell me, what do you think of this person? Would you approve of him for your mother?"
Damon's eyes widened. What? The Big Bad Guy is coming?
He can't let his Grandpa see the Big Bad Guy. His grandpa would surely recognize him as the man who had mistreated his mother back then.
Even if he doesn't beat people to death, the Big Bad Guy won't want to get out of Andorra alive if he were to come face-to-face with his grandfather.
Hurley was known for maintaining a low profile; there were no photos of him online, not even to Grandma Walton. Consequently, Mr. Hades doesn't know what Hurley looks like.
I just heard that he is very handsome and is of good character.
"Grandpa! I... I need to..."
With his mother absent, Damon couldn't risk the two meeting. Damon struggled to find an excuse.
"Damon, what's the matter?" The old man found Damon's behavior strange.
"I... I'm not feeling well. My stomach hurts! Grandpa, please take me to the hospital!" Damon clutched his stomach.
When Mr. Hades saw his great-grandchild in distress, he dropped the things in his hand. "Quick! Somebody call the doctor!"
Considering his old age, there has always been a resident doctor in the villa, although his body is well conditioned by his good granddaughter.
"No, no, I'm going to the hospital!" Damon was almost lying on the ground.
"Let Dr. Conrad see you first. Why do you suddenly have a stomachache? Did you eat something bad?"
"I don't want it, I don't want it!, I'm going to go to the hospital, and if I don't go to the hospital, I'm going to die."
"Enough, let's go to the hospital immediately!"
The old man, now more concerned than ever, instructed, "Butler, please arrange a car to take us to the hospital!"
Damon finally got on the bus to the hospital as he wished, and he finally breathed a sigh of relief.
"Damon, does it still hurt now?" the old man was in a hurry.
Given that he had been out all night and hadn't returned home, he had allowed Damon to return alone.
"It hurts...... It hurts.....," Damon covered his stomach, he had to think about what to do.
He should contact Jake and ask Jake to call the Big Bad Guy back quickly. Otherwise, this situation would spiral out of control!
Damon kept complaining about pain, even when he arrived at the hospital, he was talking about pain.
The doctor did a check-up on him and found that there was nothing unusual. The child looked extremely healthy, and it stands to reason that his stomach should not hurt.
The doctor could only prescribe some medicine, let Damon be hospitalized first, and then take a good look.
The old man and the butler are by his side. Damon was the little treasure of the Hades family, after all. They couldn't afford to lose Sophie's child.
Just then, the housekeeper returned after answering a phone call. "Master, the family says Mr. Walton has arrived."
"Hurley?"
The old man had forgotten about Hurley's visit.
Upon hearing this, Damon urgently grabbed the old man's arm. "No, grandpa, you have to accompany me in the hospital, otherwise there will be no one next to me when I get sick, and I will be so uncomfortable."
"Of course, I'll stay with you," the old man reassured him. To him, Damon was as precious as his own great-grandson.
Damon breathed a sigh of relief. He had done the Big Bad Guy a favor by preventing a potentially disastrous meeting. He saved the big bad guy's life!
Hurley brought a lot of gifts, and he came to see the old man sincerely, but he heard that the old man was not at home, and said that the little young master was sick and went to the hospital.
"Damon is sick?" Hurley frowned.
He had just returned to Andorra and Damon was already ill?
"In which hospital?" he asked, prepared to visit.
