After Hurley's departure, Sophie was on the phone with Amy.
"Amy, go to the hospital in Tbilisi right away, bring the medicine that we have researched and give it to Hurley. Just say that it's from Night."
Since the situation in Tbilisi was now very serious, it could have turned out to be the worst case scenario that Sophie had feared. Luckily, she had managed to do some research on the medication beforehand, and now that Amy was rushing over, there was still plenty of time to save the little fool.
After the instructions, Sophie was on her way to the place where Hurley had just been.
She saw the tent that Hurley had set up, along with some of the food. He had even prepared two cans of beer. Sophie grabbed one and cracked open the can. Sometimes beer has more taste than other kinds of alcohol.
This beach was one of Sophie's favorite places. It hadn't been fully developed yet, but the scenery was incredibly beautiful. The weather was beautiful today, the moon was already high in the sky, and the stars were getting brighter and brighter.
Soon, the sky went completely dark and the countless stars formed a galaxy.
Sophie sat at the entrance of the tent and watched the starry sky. After a while, something suddenly came rushing up from the sea and quickly rose into the air. The next thing she knew, it exploded in the sky and turned into a colorful display of fireworks that lit up the entire night sky.
The fireworks, complemented by the stars in the sky, were breathtakingly beautiful. After the fireworks ended, the stars were streaking across the sky like shooting stars, and it was truly a breathtaking sight.
The fireworks were magnificent, with each flower resembling a landscape in the distance.
The fireworks went on for a long time. Sophie didn't even blink at first, but later on she noticed it and took pictures of the scene.
Hurley didn't get to see such a beautiful sight tonight; it was really a loss for him. It was lucky that she hadn't left, otherwise she wouldn't have seen such a beautiful scene either.
It was a waste for her to be here alone, so she decided to call Damon and have him bring Jake and Anabel over for playtime.
The three kids hadn't slept yet. As soon as he received Sophie's call, Damon rushed over with the two children.
Although the fireworks were over now, it was still very nice to enjoy the sea breeze and eat together.
During these two days under Damon's guidance, Jake and Anabel had been having a great time. They didn't know that there were so many fun things to do and delicious food to eat by the sea!
If it had been Jake and Anabel from before, their bodies wouldn't have been able to handle all this excitement. But it hadn't been that long, and they could clearly feel that their bodies were feeling a lot better about themselves. Especially Anabel who had been frail since she was a child. But after Mommy's appearance, Anabel's health had improved a lot, she didn't get sick very often, and she hadn't been to the hospital very often.
"Mommy, can we stay here tonight?" Damon asked as he ate.
"Do you want to stay here?"
"Yes!"
"Then we'll stay here tonight." Sophie agreed. Since Hurley was in charge of the tent, there was no point in not being in use of it.
And so they lay down on the ground as a family and looked up at the beautiful sky full of stars.
Meanwhile, Hurley had already boarded the next flight back to Tbilisi. A car had been arranged for him at the airport, and as soon as Hurley got off the plane, he rushed to the hospital.
By the time Hurley got to the hospital, she was still in the operating room. As he looked at the critical illness notice, Hurley couldn't bring himself to sign a single word of it.
After so many years of searching, he had just found the little fool, and now he was going to have to watch her die? Hurley couldn't bear it, especially since Jake and Anabel hadn't even gotten to know their mother yet.
Didn't Jake miss her mother that much? He had been the one with the question who her mommy was.
If the little fool had known about her two children a little earlier, would she still have decided to take the pesticide?
Hurley couldn't sign the critical illness notice. His expression was cold, radiating a kind of hostility.
"Why can't she be saved? And where is Maya? Isn't she Night? Doesn't Night have the ability to bring people back from the edge of death?"
The last time they were on the cruise, Mrs. Harrington's heart stopped beating for a few minutes, but Night was able to save her, right?
Why was it that she couldn't do it this time?
In the face of Hurley's anger, no one dared to speak out.
On Hurley's side, he tried to get in touch with Maya, but Maya didn't even dare to pick up the phone.
She was originally an impostor, and at first she was confident that it would be so easy and that she would definitely be able to save them. But now the situation has become even worse, and she can no longer bear the responsibility. She barely has time to hide, much less have the courage to show herself.
Hurley has called Maya several times, but Maya hasn't answered. In the meantime, the bad news from the operating room keeps coming, and Hurley's expression couldn't be worse.
"Is there really no solution?" Does he just have to watch her suffer and die? The woman in the operating room is still alive, and she is very much conscious. The only thing she can do is to endure the pain of watching her life come to an end.
Hurley feels very uncomfortable about this; he owes it to the little fool. If he had been able to spend a little more time with her back then, she would not have left him. She was not smart, but she was very optimistic. When he was at home, she would accompany him in silence, without saying a word, in a very quiet way. As long as Hurley would turn around, he would be able to see her bright eyes, her scarred face that did not look so scary at all. She would call his name quietly, "Hurley..."
Feeling a bit powerless, Hurley used to think that he could get whatever he wanted, no matter what it was. Now he realized that he was very small and very powerless, that he was unable to do anything at all. The eyes of the little fool flashed in Hurley's mind like a movie playing backwards, and finally they overlapped with Sophie's eyes.
He missed Sophie... It seemed that as long as Sophie was at his side, he won't feel so small at all. If only she could be with him right now...
At the thought of how jealous Sophie would be of the little fool, she would definitely be very angry if he had a phone call with Sophie.
"Mr. Walton, this critical illness notice needs your signature."
Despite the immense pressure, the doctor recalled. The hospital is a place that is used to the cycle of life and death; they don't want any of their patients to leave, but sometimes they can't save them all.
Hurley looked down at the long document, his hands shaking as he signed it. The news from the operating room was that her heart was in the process of failure, with cases of cardiac arrest. It was possible that she would have no more than five minutes to live.
Hurley took a step back, his hands clenched into fists as he signed. How was it possible to measure life in minutes?
At that moment a bodyguard rushed to Hurley's side, "Mr. Walton, there's a woman here by the name of Amy Adamson and she says she's Night's assistant and she can save her.
