"Shall we eat in here or shall we go in the lounge?" Sophie was afraid that the aroma of the food would have an effect on Hurley's office.
"We can eat here." His desk is big and perfect for the meal Sophie had brought with her.
Sophie opened the food and then said, "You are blessed, this is the work of my three brothers and they are all good cooks.
The men and women of the Hades family are all gifted with cooking skills.
Hurley also came over to help: "Well, I am definitely going to learn more with your brothers if I have the opportunity to do so in the future."
He is also learning to be a cook, which is a change from the young master who does not touch the spring water with his fingers. His food isn't as inedible as it was, he doesn't set the kitchen on fire, and he can do some simple cooking, which is already a progress for him.
Sophie said, "My brothers might not be willing to teach you. "
If they don't hit or burn Hurley, at least.
Hurley and Sophie had a meal together, and Hurley kept putting dishes on the table for Sophie to eat.
"My brothers' cooking is really good."
"Don't talk about my brothers. No wonder my third brother wants to challenge you; they're all younger than you," Sophie quipped.
Hurley remained silent.
"I asked you to bring back the medicine. Have you taken it?"
Sophie inquired, concerned.
Not wanting to worry her, Hurley replied, "Yes."
But in fact, he didn't have time to take medicine, and he was so busy with work that he forgot that he still had injuries on his body from being beaten by Preston.
Sophie could tell he hadn't taken his medicine. He didn't even smell of it.
After a simple meal with Hurley, the reason for her impulsive visit was the thought that the children would have families that had meals together, and Hurley was probably alone here. She wasn't sure if she'd get to eat, but she felt lonely spending the evening by herself.
After dinner, Hurley cleared the table and washed all the lunch boxes.
When he came out, he saw Sophie holding an ointment in her hand, and Sophie threw it to him. "Go and apply the ointment yourself," she said as she tossed it to him.
"Alright," Hurley agreed.
The places where Hurley had been beaten were all on his body, so Hurley just took off his clothes.
He also undid his clothes in front of Sophie, and clearly, she was very surprised, to say the least.
Hurley's perfect figure was right in front of Sophie's eyes - the powerful muscles on his arms, the sexy pecs, the neatly arranged abs, and the V-line hidden in the pants from top to bottom were enough to make people's blood boil and make them want to fantasize.
Sophie was stunned for a moment. Does she get to see all of this for free?
It's too late for her to cover her eyes. She has seen everything she needed to see.
"You... Can you go to the lounge to clean and medicate yourself?"
"What's wrong? There's no outsiders here."
Sophie went silent. Doesn't he treat her like an outsider at all?
Hurley's skin is white, and the bruises on his waist and back are very obvious. He had wiped his waist, but he couldn't wipe his back.
Hurley went over and handed the ointment to Sophie. "Sophie, help me, I can't reach my back."
Sophie took it and Hurley was standing in front of her, the muscles even more visible than before.
Silently, she turned her face away from him, but her cheeks involuntarily grew hot.
She squeezed out the ointment and her fingertips brushed against Hurley's back. She wanted to spread the ointment, so she could only rub it gently.
The warm skin seemed to pass through her fingertips and hit her heart, causing it to beat much faster than usual.
For Hurley, this was even more painful than usual.
Sophie's delicate hand applied the ointment to his back, and due to her caution, their palms occasionally brushed against each other, causing a tingling discomfort.
"All right," Sophie announced as she finished applying the medicine.
As soon as she set the ointment aside, Hurley's hands found their way to her waist and pulled her into a hug.
Sophie was so surprised by this sudden movement that she dropped the ointment.
The next moment she found herself pressed against the desk, Hurley's hands supporting her waist and the edge of the desk.
"You..." Sophie started, but her words were cut off when Hurley's lips met hers. Hurley had longed for this kiss for a long time.
Even though the last time he had been forceful with Sophie had been on the Ferris wheel, she couldn't ignore the fact that Hurley worked tirelessly on his own. She brought him food and shared meals with him. She tended to his wounds and even gave him medicine.
How could she not develop feelings for such a person?
Sophie hadn't expected Hurley to kiss her and instinctively tried to push him away. But just as she was about to do so, she found her hand landing on the warmth of Hurley's chest.
She noticed that he was still undressed.
Feeling uncomfortable, Sophie didn't dare touch him again. She tried to pull her hand away, but Hurley's hand, holding the table, grabbed Sophie's wrist and pulled her closer to him.
There was a heat emanating from Hurley that made Sophie feel trapped and unable to get away.
In the past, when she hadn't known the truth, she had been so resistant to Hurley. She had run away from her heart and her thoughts, denying her feelings.
She knew she was attracted to the man. He was just too charming, and his serious and loving demeanor was just too hard to resist.
This time Sophie didn't push him away.
She tilted her head and let Hurley kiss her.
Hurley also noticed that Sophie did not resist his advances. At first, he had only wanted to taste her lips, but when he found out that Sophie was different from the way she was before, he was surprised and pleased. He then deepened the kiss.
This was the first time that Sophie hadn't resisted Hurley, and today she seemed particularly enchanting.
After a moment, Hurley's lips pulled away from Sophie's, but they stayed close together, their breath mingling with hers.
His intense gaze was passionate as if he wanted to devour her right into his desk. His lips parted slightly as he whispered her name, his voice hoarse and seductive. "Sophie."
"Sophie... You didn't resist today," he observed.
Their lips met once more, adding to the already charged atmosphere between them.
"Hurley, please get dressed first," Sophie said, trying to avoid making eye contact with him. She didn't dare to meet his gaze, for she was afraid that her eyes would accidentally wander down.
In spite of the fact that Sophie was an adult and a mother of three children, she still felt embarrassed in situations like this.
"Sophie, what do you think of this body of mine? Are there any areas I need to work on?" Hurley knew that Sophie didn't dare look at him because she was getting shy, so he deliberately teased her.
"No, you can do your own assessment and training," Sophie replied, her eyes almost drifting out of the window as her face grew increasingly red.
"You're blushing," Hurley observed with a grin.
"That's ridiculous. I'm just a little hot from what we ate earlier," Sophie replied.
"But the air conditioning in the room was only set at 24 degrees."
"Hurley!" Sophie finally snapped. Since Hurley was such a stickler for details, she had no choice but to join in.
"Your muscles aren't defined enough and your physique isn't that impressive," she criticized, adding, "In comparison to others, you're behind."
Hurley's expression darkened. "Were you comparing me to someone else?"
