The three men's faces shifted slightly, but they quickly replaced their expressions with gentle smiles.
"Sienna, you've got it wrong. We really didn't know..."
I didn't want to hear another word. I turned and walked away.
The night before my birthday, Lucien and the other two showed up at my door again.
"Sienna," Lucien leaned against the doorframe, his gaze burning into me, "you're definitely going to choose Derek tomorrow, right?"
I stared at them with a blank expression. "I told you already. I won't choose him."
"Stop being so stubborn." Caleb sighed. "If Derek rejects you, don't worry. You still have us."
"Exactly," Raven stepped forward, his voice low and husky, "we love you so much. Why do you have to be so obsessed with Derek? Why can't you just turn around and see us?"
I found it laughable. What made them think I'd still choose any of them?
"Don't worry." I turned away, my eyes calm as still water. "I won't choose any of you."
The three exchanged glances, clearly not taking my rejection seriously. They assumed I was just throwing a tantrum and left soon after.
But it wasn't long before Derek showed up too.
"Sienna, I know you're definitely going to choose me tomorrow." He stood in the doorway, his suit immaculate, his eyes ice-cold. "Fine, I accept it. But you have to promise me—no more hurting Rachel. Otherwise—"
"I won't choose you." I cut him off.
Derek let out a cold laugh. "You think I'd believe that?"
He couldn't be bothered to say more and turned to leave.
I closed my eyes wearily until the phone's ring shattered the silence.
"Sienna," my mother's voice came through, "we've already spoken with Asher. He'll be at the venue tomorrow, on time."
She paused, her tone hesitant. "Are you... really sure about choosing Asher?"
I gripped the phone tighter, my fingertips trembling slightly. "I'm sure."
On my 22nd birthday, the ballroom gleamed with golden splendor. Crystal chandeliers cast brilliant light across the space.
I entered in a flowing red dress, the hem rippling behind me like flames, stunning everyone present.
Lucien and the other two immediately surrounded me.
"Sienna," Lucien's gaze burned with intensity, his voice deep, "you're so beautiful today, I can't look away."
"That dress suits you perfectly." Caleb smiled tenderly.
"Happy birthday, little princess." Raven offered me a glass of champagne.
Just as I was about to speak, the ballroom fell into an eerie silence.
I turned to look—Derek walked in slowly with Rachel on his arm.
And Rachel was wearing the exact same red dress as me!
The crowd erupted in shocked murmurs.
Lucien and the others' faces darkened instantly. They quickly made excuses to leave. "Sienna, we have some urgent business. We'll find you later."
I stood frozen in place, my heart plummeting.
Derek walked straight toward me, his voice cutting like ice. "Sienna, either you go change into a different dress right now, or—"
His eyes narrowed dangerously. "I'll rip it off you myself."
I clutched my dress tightly, refusing to move.
Derek's patience snapped. He waved his hand. "Someone take her to change."
Two bodyguards immediately stepped forward and dragged me away.
Ten minutes later, I reappeared at the ballroom in a plain white dress, my face pale as paper.
The ceremony officially began. The host smiled and asked, "Miss Sienna, who would you like to choose as your fiancé today?"
I took a deep breath. "Wait a little longer."
Lucien frowned. "Sienna, who else are you waiting for?"
Just then—
"Bang!"
The ballroom doors burst open.
My parents finally walked in, followed by a tall, imposing man.
He wore a perfectly tailored black suit, his features sharp as a blade, radiating an overwhelming aura of power.
He's back... he's finally back.
Tears instantly filled my eyes, blurring my vision.
Without hesitation, I walked toward him, my voice choked with emotion but firm. "I choose him! My husband will be Asher Hollis!"
