On Tuesday, Caitlyn had two classes scheduled for the day.
After giving her new students a proper taste of the former Demon Lord's authority, the campus chatter about her being someone's "adorable little wife" quickly died down.
On the school forums, the newly appointed Arcane Theory professor and her so-called teaching assistant had been flagged with the dreaded red labels—Intimidating. Brutal.
At first, the sentiment online was one of collective outrage. That was, until a few candid photos went viral last week and flipped the entire narrative on its head. Almost overnight, a wave of super shippers flooded the forums.
Within hours, the hate had been completely buried beneath a mountain of fan edits, love-fueled speculations, and emotional squealing.
Some observant students even noticed that the older, negative posts were quietly vanishing—slowly enough to avoid suspicion, but steadily and unmistakably.
And when you stopped to think about who ran the forums (Ekavine Academy), and who backed the Academy (the Lord of Ekavine City), the implications were chilling.
Clearly, these two weren't just powerful—they had influence in all the right places.
In the Caitlyn & Leon Academic Power Couple Fan Group, messages were flooding.
NoSquirrelsPlz: [OMG! I saw them this morning riding the scooter into campus—hugging each other!]
NoSquirrelsPlz: [Lady Caitlyn was blushing while holding onto Lord Radford's sleeve! I'm gonna pass out from how sweet that was!]
Then a photo of Caitlyn and Leon being together was posted.
MegaDinoWarrior: [And Lord Radford had that smug little smile again… God, it's too charming! I'm so jealous you saw them!]
NoSquirrelsPlz: [Lady Caitlyn even looked at me! I swear, today was pure happiness.]
Back in class, Leon was, quite obviously, not cut out to be a student.
While Caitlyn stood at the front teaching, he sat quietly among the others… completely zoning out as he stared at her face in a trance.
Yup—just full-on staring. Occasionally with a dopey little grin.
Finally, after passing out a short pop quiz, Caitlyn made her way straight over to him, grabbed him by the collar, and dragged him out of the classroom.
"You. Go run a thousand laps around the track. Then come back."
"…What?" Leon looked at her, totally confused. "What'd I do this time?"
Caitlyn's cheeks were faintly pink, her lips pressed together in frustration.
She thought, 'This idiot has been staring at me—unblinking—for nearly the whole class. How am I supposed to focus with him looking at me like that?'
Obviously, there was no way she was going to admit she was flustered. That was unthinkable for someone as proud as her.
"Anyway, you're not doing anything productive sitting in there. You might as well go stretch your legs. Your wounds are mostly healed, and the exercise will do you good."
"But I just wanted to…" Leon paused, coughed awkwardly—he'd almost blurted out "stay with you." Instead, he corrected himself, "…experience the college atmosphere."
Caitlyn took a long breath, her expression blank. "Right. But you staring at me the whole time is throwing me off."
Leon blinked. "What, do I look that weird? How am I distracting? I wasn't even talking!"
"You're very handsome," Caitlyn said flatly, not missing a beat.
Then, she smiled—just a little.
Leon froze. His face flushed red almost instantly.
He looked away, flustered, cleared his throat, and muttered, "I mean… I'm alright, I guess…"
"So," Caitlyn said sweetly, "handsome Lord Radford… how about you go entertain yourself for a while and come back for the afternoon class, okay?"
"…Okay."
Caitlyn watched Leon walk away, still grinning like a lovesick fool. Her own expression finally cracked. She gave her flushed cheeks a few light taps and let out a long exhale to calm herself.
She wondered, 'Seriously… how did that guy manage to call me cute with such a straight face, like it was the most natural thing in the world?'
She turned back toward the classroom—only to meet the wide-eyed stares of several dozen students.
Her face turned an even deeper shade of red. Flustered and a little annoyed, she barked, "What are you all staring at? Get back to your tests!"
Every single head dropped in perfect sync. No one dared challenge a flustered Demon Lord.
No one wanted to find out what "public execution" looked like.
But… no one was not enjoying the drama, either.
The sun was shining, and Leon was wandering the campus.
It was obvious to anyone with eyes—Leon, who'd never even been in a relationship before, had been completely wrecked by just two sentences from Caitlyn. Now he was walking around in a daze, head in the clouds, utterly smitten.
No man could keep his cool when the person he liked complimented him.
Honestly, the rumor that "understanding male psychology is just child psychology with extra steps" was starting to feel weirdly accurate.
After a bit of solo wandering, Leon got bored.
He ended up sitting by the lake, spacing out as he watched the long, stringy willow branches swaying like strands of hair in the breeze. Eventually, he stood up and decided to track down the infirmary.
'It's almost winter now,' he thought.
The trees were all dried up and brittle—not much to look at. Still, he thought maybe the campus would feel different once it started snowing.
"…Wait, which building is the infirmary again?"
The college was huge. And for someone with a terrible sense of direction, it was kind of a nightmare.
While Leon had been a bit closed-off in the past, he was never exactly shy.
He glanced around and spotted a student nearby… He thought, 'Wait a second—is that guy taking photos of me?'
Leon narrowed his eyes. Then, without a sound, he vanished.
The student, half-hidden behind a tree, blinked. He looked around in confusion, staring at the swaying willow branches. "…Where'd he go?"
"Yo. Looking for me?"
A hand landed on his shoulder, followed by a low, ghostly voice that sent chills down his spine.
"Ah! A ghost!" The guy shrieked and collapsed, trembling on the ground with his hands over his head.
Leon stared, a bit taken aback. He thought, 'Seriously? That scares him that much? Bit dramatic, isn't it?'
"Come on. I literally just got told I was good-looking ten minutes ago…"
The student slowly raised his head, still shaking.
"L-Leon… Lord Radford?"
"Uh… fan?" Leon rubbed the back of his neck, not quite sure how to respond.
The student, still shaking, pushed himself upright. But the moment his eyes locked on Leon's face, all his fear evaporated—replaced with a weird, starry-eyed excitement.
"Yes! I'm a huge fan!"
Leon instinctively took a small step back, forcing a strained smile. "Right. So, quick question—were you trying to take pictures of me just now?"
"I… I mean…" The student's face flushed bright red. He dropped his gaze in guilt.
Leon felt a cold shiver run down his spine.
He didn't waste any more time. With one quick motion, he snatched the camera out of the guy's hands and started flipping through the photos.
One quick scan—and he sighed in relief. Just one photo of him, and the rest were random scenery.
He deleted the shot and gave the guy a sharp look. "Look. If you want to take pictures of someone, ask first. Otherwise, it's called spying. Got it?"
"S-sorry…" The student bowed his head, trembling as he apologized. He looked like he was two seconds away from crying.
Leon let out a heavy sigh and waved him off. "Whatever… just be glad it was me you snapped."
The student's eyes lit up. He wiped his face with his sleeve and looked up, suddenly filled with determination.
"Lord Radford! There's something I need to report to you!"
