Zara's pov
Today is Saturday...aka when Ava and I are going bowling with Enzo and Matteo, I'm not as nervous having Ava by my side
But I would be lying if I would hope she and Matteo would go to the opposite side of the bowling arena because I just know Ava will try some shit with me and Enzo...
Enzo said he could pick me up and since I trust him enough I decided why not, currently Ava is at my place and we're helping each other get ready, I decided to go with a more boring outfit

Something me and Ava don't necessarily have in common is our clothing, while I like doing more classic or as she calls them "boring outfits with no spice" she does more "fun" outfits and I have my boring blonde long hair and she has her cool pink hair and it looks dope with her grey eyes! but In reality, I wear basic outfits because I'm too scared to be in the spotlight and have people staring at me I have too much social anxiety for that, talking to bakery customers is more than enough for me!

A tiny bit later I get a text from Enzo
Enzyyy: hey I'm outside come to my car when you're ready, I'm just standing outside my car so you'll be able to spot me
Zara: alright we will be right now
"AVA HURRY UP ENZO IS HERE" I call for Ava
"IM COMING," she says as she's throwing lipstick her bag
I raise my eyebrow at her
"What you never know this Matteo guy might be hot" she shrugs
The girl is amazing at luring men in and she doesn't do relationships because she's been hurt and cheated on so she's more into the one night stands...while I on the other hand have never even been with a man in that sense...ya I know I'm 23 and a virgin boohoo cry about it, point being it will take a VERY special man to make Ava trust and want a relationship with and so far that man hasn't come along, but if this Matteo guy is anything like Enzo..who knows!
We both go outside to see Enzo leaning against the hood of his car...that's hot and he's in casual clothing! He has black jeans with a black hoodie and some white sneakers and man oh man does he look FINEEE
"Hey Enzo, thanks for picking us up" I smile up at him
"You look nice" he looks at me
And I blush
I was about to say something about his outfit but Ava started talking
"Hey what about my outfit lover boy!" She asks with a smirk
Oh MY GOSH! She didn't just say, lover boy...
He laughs at that comment and oh does his laugh sound like music to my ears
"Sorry you look nice to Ava"
"So where's this friend you brought along with you," Ava asks
"He's meeting us there," Enzo says
We all get in the car but before we do I quickly come up to Enzo and say
"You look nice too" with a smile
He returns the smile along with a chuckle "thank you sweetheart"
HOLY SHIT....Zara Ricci has died today outside her apartment because of a damn heart attack!
I genuinely think I'm gonna have a heart attack this man does not KNOW how much I'm obsessed with nicknames and that is all thanks to books! I have been hooked on reading ever since I can remember, it was my escape I would spend hours in the library reading because I was too scared to go home and have to face the reality of my parents being there.
And I can't help but blush at his comment as we all get in the car
We get to the bowling alley, and a tall man with light brown hair and brown eyes comes up to us
"HEY man," he says coming up to Enzo
OOOOH so this is Matteo, he's wearing a hoodie with...is that? Omg, that's totally Peppa pig!
Matteo turns to me and says "SOOO you must be THE Zara!" With a smile as he braces me with a hug
Awwww he's so sweet
And I can't help but let a giggle out " ya hi and you must be Matteo!"
"Oh and this is my friend Ava," I say after we end the hug
"Hi," Ava says...sounding almost bored?
"Hi, nice to meet you, love your hair !" Matteo says
And he whispers in my ear "is your friend by any chance single" OMG! I am so gonna be Cupid
"Yes!" I whisper " but she's a tough cookie to crack so she might act like she hates you at first and pushes you away " I shrug
"Oh well I'll take my chances, she's cute" he smiles
"What's the harm in trying!" I say
We then all go to get our shoes to start playing not before Matteo says "we should play in teams!!" And Enzo says " Zara can be on mine" he's cute
We all get our shoes and start putting our names in the system
"Ooooo we should do cute/ funny names instead of our real ones," Ava says
"Okay why not" I shrug
"OH, Enzo's should be enzyyy!!" I say
"Absolutely not! " he says
"But why it's cute," I say with a slight pout
"Fine," he says rolling his eyes
"But I get to pick yours...." He says
"Alright! What do you want mine to be"
"Muffin," Enzo says
I laugh "muffin? Why muffin "
"not sure it's the first thing I tried at your bakery and your cute and sweet like a muffin" he shrugs
I laugh "alright muffin it is"
he just called me cute and sweet !!!!
But the moment was ruined when we hear Ava and Matteo bickering
"Why not it's a cute name!!!" Matteo says
"My name isn't gonna be pinky pie! Are u kidding" Ava groans
"It suits you!!" Matteo says
"UGH! Well then your nickname should be daddy pig " and she's doubling over laughing
"REALLY! I already told you the stupid shirts
because of a dare!" He groans
"Well if my name's gonna be pinky pie then yours is daddy pig!!" She retorts
"Let's not forget this whole nickname shit was YOUR idea!" He rolls his eyes
"Ugh whatever just put the damn names in the screen already" she rolls her eyes
Well this is gonna be fun, and I can totally see Ava and Matteo together haha and that's on enemies to lovers!!!
Enzo and I look at each other and start bursting out laughing
This is gonna be a fun night
And it is so far, it was filled more funny bicker sessions with Matteo and Ava and Enzo and I just laugh at them
Me and him also just made some small talk and that's what we're doing right now while Matteo and Ava went to go get the pizzas
Ava went with him cus she "doesn't trust his judgment of good pizza toppings" ya right...like that's the reason they're totally in love!
"So when your birthday I ask him"
"November 9th," he says
"Omg like the book!"
He laughs
" you like reading?"
"Like it? I LOVE IT!!"
He laughs "well good thing I have a whole library at my house "
"Well when is yours," he asks
"February 7th," I say
"Where are your rings from," I ask because genuinely I need to know I HAVE to have some of them especially that cool snake one
He laughs "I have a friend who makes rings and he gives me them all the time, why do you like them?" He asks and I nod
He smiles and says "which ones are your favorite"
"Probably the snake one" I smile up at him
The last thing I expected him to do if take the ring off, gently grab my hand, and start putting it on each finger seeing where it would fit, until it finally fit on my thumb
He smiles down and says "you have it"
OMG, he just gave me his ring!!!!!
"Are you sure?" I ask not wanting to take something from him
"Yeah I like it better on you and I have other rings " he shrugs while smiling
"Well thank you" I smile up at him
The whole night I fiddle with the ring twisting it around without realizing it, I found it would relax me when I would hear a group of people yelling and cheering, like I said I don't do well in public situations
At the end of the night, Enzo and I ended up winning the game
"UGH, it is your fault we lost!!!" Ava says
"Absolutely NOT! I got strikes multiple times! Do you know how many times you got the gutter, you made us lose not me!" Matt says, I now call him Matt per his request as he put it 'my friends call me Matt'
"UGH, WHATEVER! You were just distracting me with your annoying ass comments" she says rolling her eyes while replacing the bowling shoes with hers
"Oh so I'm distracting now" Matt smirks
"SHUT UP Peppa pig!!"
"HEY! Like I said this was a dare!" Matt points to his shirt "and I always keep to my word" he says
"REALLY! Even your words where you said you would beat me on a one on one at basketball" Ava rolls her eyes
"YEP! So guess your gonna have to go out with me again so I can prove my point" he laughs
"UGH SHUT UP, I would beat you not the other way around!" She says
"YEAH RIGHT! Then I'll guess we will see next week Saturday..." Matt challenges
"FINE, THEN I GUESS WE WILL!" Ava rolls her eyes
"Well aren't they just perfect together" Enzo whispers in my ear
And I can't help but have a shiver run up my spine from that
"Ya they're definitely gonna get married I can already see it," I say whispering right back to him
We both look at each other while looking back at them and laughing
Today was a really good day
