Zara's pov
It's been about a week and Enzo and I never talked about the whole situation the night he came home beaten up
Buts it's ok he will tell me when he's ready, just like I will tell him about my parents when I am
Currently, I am in the library trying to grab a damn book and I can't flipping reach it
And just like I summoned the man himself
I feel a body behind me and a hand reach up and grab the book I was trying to grab
"Spanish love deception?" Enzo says in his sexy deep voice
"It's one of my favorites I've reread it a bunch," I say shrugging
"Thank you," I say as I grab the book and hug him
He doesn't tense up when I hug him now
He hugs my back and rests his chin on the top of my head
"How about we take Mia to the park today she's been asking me all week" he laughs
"Okay" I smile up at him
He wants me to come along to his father-daughter park time...how sweet is this man
As I'm going outside and open the door I have the biggest smile on my face
"IT'S SNOWING!!!!! I love New York when it's snowing" I smile looking at the snow
I look behind me seeing Enzo smiling at me
"ITS SNOW, Daddy when there's more snow can we please play in it" Mia squeals
Enzo and I both laugh
"Sure sweetheart but it might take at least till tomorrow for there to be enough snow to play with," Enzo says
"OKAY, Let's go to the park" Mia says grabbing our hands
We're at the park watching as Mia plays on the playground while talking
"What's one place in the world that you wish to go to?" Enzo asks
"Mhm well, I've always wanted to go to Hawaii...I know basic but for some reason always been the top of my bucket list" I smile "someday I'll go" I shrug
He smiles "yeah you will"
"Oh! Really random but we should invite Ava and Matt and have a movie night and just hang out at home" I smile
"Yeah that's a good idea, we haven't hung out with them in a bit, we can invite them over in a couple of days" he smiles
"Okay cool "I smile back
"Do you know how to bake anything?" I ask
"Definitely not...hence me having a cook, well that and I'm busy," he says
"You should come to my bakery at the end of the day and I can teach you how to make something" I say excitedly
"Ok I'll have to do that then" he laughs
"Così Carino" he mumbles while shaking his head and chuckling (So cute)
"What's the mean," I ask
He never tells me the translation of anything he says.
He chuckles "nothing" with a smirk
"What happened to you teaching me Italian? I can't learn anything if you won't tell me the stuff you say means" I say huffing
He continues laughing "okay okay, what do you want me to teach you, AND before you say it no I will not tell you what I say when we're talking to each other" he smiles
"Ugh alright...how do I say you're irritating me in Italian," I say annoyed slightly, I mean what's he saying behind my back? It better not be mean
He starts laughing very loudly "mi irrita di pìu," he says trying to calm down
"Well then mi irrita di pìu," I say crossing my arms over my chest
At that, he starts laughing even more
I nudge his shoulder "stop laughing" I say rolling my eyes
"Alright alright give me a minute"
"Hey sweetheart you want to go get hot chocolate and walk around " he yells to Mia
I smile at that he's so cute
"How do you say ' your an amazing father' in Italian," I say smiling
He grins widely "sei un padre fantastico"
"Well I think sei un padre fantastico," I say grinning
"Grazie Tesoro," he says kissing my forehead before getting up to grab Mia's hand
" you said thank you, sweetheart, " I say smiling
He looks at me rolling his eyes
"What? Like I said I pick up a few things in Romance books" I laugh
"Do you now" he raises a brow
I nudge his shoulder and he laughs
"Daddy can I have whipped cream on my hot chocolate," Mia says
"Of course," Enzo says
We're now walking around with hot chocolate and I'm holding hands with Enzo as Mia skips in front of us
It's weird how this feels like I'm a part of this little family, I feel like this is where I belong...here with Enzo and mia
"Am I a terrible person for being happy that Mia ran away that day she did and stumbled into my bakery?" I ask Enzo as we're walking
"I mean I would've never met you two if that didn't happen and honestly I've never been happier until you guys came into my life," I say
"It's not wrong I'm happy too," he says grinning at me
"What ever happened to the nanny?" I ask
He slides his tongue across his teeth...STOP STARING AT HIS MOUTH ZARA
"I fired her who the hell cares where she went after that" he shrugs
"Yeah I guess," I say then I hesitate before saying this
I hope he feels the same...here goes
"You know I can be the permanent nanny for Mia even though at this point I feel closer to her than just a nanny, but in my opinion not to sound conceded but I wouldn't feel very at peace knowing another persons looking after her...especially after the nanny before," I say all in one breath
Shit he's not saying anything
"Can I tell you something?" He says
Oh gosh pls don't kick me out and fire me, pls don't tell me you found someone else
"I never really looked for nanny's...well I did for a few days but then realized the whole time I had the perfect person to take care of Mia right In front of me," he says smiling down at me
That sneaky man, But is it wrong that I'm glad?
Of course, I need him to straight out say it so I play dumb "who?" I asked tilting my head to the side smiling slightly
He shakes his head and laughs " you "
"I know I just needed to hear you say it," I say laughing
"You're gonna get it..." he says laughing
And then he starts tickling me
"No no....-I say between laughs- stop it aaaahhh"
I then get out of his grasp and start running...but of course I'm not fast enough for the 6'3 tall man

He swoops me up, and I start laughing and trying to catch my breath
"Mia save me," I say laughing
"Your silly zee how can I save you, maybe a prince can save you!" Mia says
"HEY, And what am I, Mia?" Enzo says
"The big bad wolf" I whisper in his hear while laughing slightly
He laughs at that
"OH, THAT'S RIGHT! Ask daddy to save you!" Mia says like it's a brilliant idea
I laugh even harder now "you want prince Enzo to save me from Enzo?" I laugh
"YESS!" Mia laughs
"It's king Enzo" he whispers in my ear and kisses it slightly
I clear my throat before speaking "well I'm so sorry your majesty, or should I say king Enzo" I laugh and roll my eyes
He hums "and you'll be queen Zara" he smirks
Well shit I might just die on the spot
"CAN I BE THE PRINCESS?" Mia yells
Enzo and I both laugh "yes you can" Enzo says
"Okay come on we should get back before it gets dark," Enzo says laughing while putting me down
The rest of the walk is peaceful, we don't talk much since Mia is babbling about random things but I like it

Enzo really is a real-life prince...sorry I meant KING *cue the dramatic eye roll*
We're now back home watching a Disney movie all cuddled on the couch, I stole Enzo's hoodie since I saw it on the couch
"Why do you prefer my hoodies over yours" he laughs
"Not that I mind you in my clothes," he says with a slight smirk
I laugh "I'm not sure, they smell like you and it makes me feel like your next to me or I'm hugging you and it makes me feel safe," I say shrugging while smiling
"Your cute," he says shaking his head chuckling
I smile
"I make you feel safe?" He says smiling
I nod my head smiling slightly
"Use your Words sweetheart," he says
Geez does this man read romance.
"Yes" I whisper
He smiles and picks me up so I'm straddling his lap while he's sitting on the couch
I immediately wrap my hands around his neck and nuzzle my head in the crook of his neck
And he wraps his hands around my waist holding me close
Halfway through the movie, I'm falling asleep and before I fall asleep I feel a blanket being put on me and lips being pressed on my forehead
"Daddy is Zara sleeping?" I hear Mia say
"Yes let's let her sleep okay?" Enzo says
"Okay, can I cuddle closer to you daddy," Mia says
"Of course princess," Enzo says
"Goodnight Zara" I hear Enzo whisper in my ear
I hug him tighter while barely whispering out "night"
And I hear a slight chuckle
I really really like this man, he feels like home
