Zara's pov
Today is the day my parents die, or I guess a better way to describe the events that will occur today is murder..
I couldn't sleep all night because of nerves, I just looked at Enzo who had his head on my chest and arms wrapped around my waist holding me close while he was sleeping
I should feel worse About the thought of my parents being killed
But I'm not scared of them dying...somehow that part doesn't phase me weirdly enough
I think everything I have went through It must have made me messed up in the head or something because I'm not phased at the thought of them being killed
I think the trauma I went through just burned that fear away I guess
What I'm nervous about is seeing them again...I can't stand them for what they did
And I'm nervous that they will try hurting me again, but Antonio assured me the place I will ask them to meet me at is going to be filled with secret undercover men and is very secure
I'm now calling my mother, Enzo is holding my hand for support while Antonia and Sophia patiently sit across from us, Sophia is fiddling nervously with the buttons of her blouse while Antonio is running his hands through his hair from time to time
(Call with her mother)
Bianca: hello? Who's this
Zara: hi mother it's me, Zara...
Bianca: We'll hello, let me guess you finally figure out that man you were with was using you and you have come to your parents for help? *chuckling*
I wasn't aware this was going to go this way...I look over at Enzo and he quickly writes something on a piece of paper he had ready just in case
I read it and it says 'agree sweetheart'
I look at him wide-eyed and slowly nod he squeezes my hand for reassurance
Zara: yes mother
Bianca: well guess you should've realized that your parents are always right, we told you it was worthless for you to go to college and find love, your unloveable Zara...
Enzo tenses at that and I squeeze his hand in saying it's okay
Zara: you're right I'm sorry mother can I meet you and father for dinner
Bianca: I guess, but then you will come home with us...a worthless little girl like you shouldn't be out all by yourself in God knows where
Zara: alright I'll text you the place and time bye mother
Bianca: goodbye your father and I will see you then and make sure you leave that man...he's too good for a slut like you

"That absolute BITC-" Antonio starts but Sophia stops him
"Antonio...breathe," Sophia says trying to breath herself as tears stream down her face
"Are you okay?" I ask Enzo
He looked at me with a shocked expression
"Jesus Zara, how are you going to ask me me that I should be the one to ask that to you" he shakes his head in disbelief
"Well I'm used to her talking to me that way and you're not" I shrug
"Sweetheart..." he looks up at the ceiling shaking his head, breathing hard
"What kind of mother calls her daughter a slut? I can't with that disgusting woman" Sophia shakes her head
"It's alright I know it's not true," I say
"Of course it's not," Antonio says
I grab Enzo's face gently for him to look at me
"It's fine Enzo...I don't believe her and it doesn't bother me anymore" I whisper
"This shit sucks Zara...seeing her speak to you that way and I don't even wanna imagine what happens behind closed doors," he says closing his eyes tightly
"Son I understand this shit sucks but we need to focus on them being captured and killing them already," Antonio says
"I know father," Enzo says taking deep breathes
"I love you Enzo please just focus on the now" I whisper
"I love you Zara" Enzo whispers pecking my lips
But I can tell his mind is going a hundred miles an hour doing anything but focusing on the now
I'm now waiting for my parents, we picked a restaurant that Enzo's parents own
It's surrounded by undercover men and women pretending to eat dinner and talk
I see my parents enter and immediately tense
I can do this...I am strong
I repeat what Enzo told me
He hates me doing this I had to sneak away while his parents tried to calm him, he doesn't want me to get hurt
I love him so much...the way he cares just makes me love him even more
"Hello daughter" father says sitting Down
"Hello father, and mother" I smiled the smallest amount
They both sit down
And the acting begins
"Well, have you finally realized that you can't live without your dear parents?" Father chuckles
Come on Zara lie...you can't stab them with forks right now
"Yes," I say biting my tongue to not say more
"Good...now let's eat and we will go home we have a flight tomorrow and you will come back to Seattle with us" mother says
"Alright," I say lying
I'm never going back to Seattle and certainly not anywhere with them
We eat dinner and I act and pretend that there right and I'm wrong...basically me just agreeing to whatever shit is coming out of their mouths
"Well let's leave, a car is waiting outside," mother says
I nod
This is where I trust Enzo's parents in hoping the plan works
We get up and start walking towards the exit
A worker comes up to us and I recognize that it's one of the men undercover
"hello currently the front of the restaurant is being closed down so you will need to follow me to the side exit" the 'worker' says
"Alright hurry this up we need to leave," father says gripping my arm tightly
Shit that hurts
I can Almost feel the bruise forming already
We walk and walk until we get outside
We're then surrounded by cars
Antonio and Enzo's men surround us and grab my mother then pry my father off of me
They then inject something in them and they immediately blackout
I finally take my first Deep breath since entering the restaurant
They take them to the car and I go towards the car where Enzo is so we can follow his parents to the warehouse
Enzo runs out of the car to me
"Are you insane Zara! Really? Having my parents distract me so you can go, You could've gotten hurt" he says wrapping his arms around me
I jump in his arms so my legs are wrapped around his waist and then my arms around his neck
"I mean come on Zara! Your didn't even come see me before you left, what if they took you, what if they took you away from me, what the hell would I do then, I can't live without you sweetheart why would you do that" he says voice breaking
And my heart breaks at the thought of his worry
"I'm sorry Enzo, but it worked I did it" I smile
He shakes his head "you may have done it but I saw how your father was hurting your arm, let me see it" he says
"It's fine it doesn't hurt that bad" I sigh
Shit I shouldn't have said it hurt that bad...
"That bad?... Zara" he says slowly taking a deep breath
"You are crazy, you could've gotten majorly hurt I don't know what I would've done if something happened to y-" I cut him off by connecting my lips with his
He immediately kissed back
After some time I pull away and rest my forehead on his
"I'm fine Enzo...everyone was here to make sure of that" I whisper
"That doesn't matter you didn't even tell me you left...do you know how freaked out I was when I found out you already left to meet with them" he sighs
"I'm sorry" I whisper
He kisses me slowly
It's the kind of kiss that shows how much love he has for me
I can tell by his grip around me that he was terrified that something would happen and I feel really bad for doing that to him but it had to be done
After some time he takes a deep breath and speaks
"Come on we have some demons to punish," he says lowly
"Let's go" I whisper "but can you carry me...I don't wanna get out of your arms" I whisper into his neck
He tightens his arms around me "like I was gonna let you go" he kisses my forehead
We get in the car and I'm in his lap, which I know is dangerous but like I give a shit
I don't want to leave his grasp
He's touching my arm that my father grabbed there's a bit of a bruise there and Enzo grabs my arm and kisses the bruise and takes a deep breath
"It's okay" I whisper
"It's not..." he shakes his head
I rest and nuzzle myself in the crook of his neck
I feel his arms wrap around me pulling me as close as possible, his breathing is all over the place
"Enzo I'm not going to disappear I'm okay" I whisper
"Yeah well I was sure you wouldn't disappear to meet your parents without at least kissing me before you left but I was dead wrong" he says and I can here the hurt and slight annoyance in his voice
I laugh a little now looking at him "I'm sorry okay, you would have tried convincing me to not go and I knew I wouldn't be able to say no to you, so I had to do it" I say against his lips
"Damn right I would, I don't trust your parents and would rather wait months finding them a different way then have you be in a room with them without me there at least" he says breathing harder by the minute
I give him a light kiss on his lips but when I was going to pull away he puts his hand on the back of my head pulling me closer
After some time he slightly pulls away and mumbles against my lips "don't ever do any stupid shit like that again Zara"
"I won't, I promise" I give him another peck on the lips and cuddle close to him
I ended up falling asleep in his arms
I then wake up to feel myself getting carried
"Where are we" I whisper
"At the warehouse," he says
I hum in response "time to be bad ass's and kill some bad guys" I chuckle still half asleep
"That's not really funny sweetheart...they hurt you" he sighs
"Yeah I know but you have to admit we're gonna look pretty badass beating them up and finally giving them a taste of their own medicine," I say wiggling my eyebrows
"Your something else sweetheart," he says fighting a smile shaking his head
"you can put me down, I need to look cool walking in the warehouse," I say with a pout
That time he chuckles a little "I'm sorry my badass woman," he says putting me down
"Thank you, now let's do this thing," I say walking in
"Let's do it" he says kissing the top of my head

The next time i walk out of this warehouse i will be free
And my parents wont be out there to hurt me or anyone else anymore
