Zaras pov
We're now back in New York, we spent the last few days in Italy spending time with Enzo's parents, and seeing Italy and trying our best to have a good rest of our time there
That first night when I killed my father and watched my mother die I cried...not because I missed them
I felt dirty like I did a bad thing, Enzo held me the whole night while I cried
He told me it's ok to feel bad since they were my parents after all and some part of me might feel bad for hurting them even if they hurt me
But now that it's been a couple of days and we're back in New York I'm ok for the most part
Ava and Matt are here now and I just told them EVERYTHING...from the abuse to the torture then torturing them back
"Holy....umm wow that" Ava says clearly her throat while tears stream her face
"I can't believe you went through that Zara" Ava whispers she hugs me tightly crying
"Gosh Zara I'm so sorry," Matt says eyes on the verge of tears as he hugs me
"I can't believe you went through all this and held this in without telling me!! I could've been there for you Zara, I'm your best friend and will ALWAYS be there for you" she says crying while shaking
"I know I realized now" I whisper
I spend some more time talking to them and calming Ava who was shaking like crazy and crying
After about an hour of calming down Ava and Matt
Ava looks at me
"So...Mafia?" She whispers
"SEE I KNEW there was something sketchy with Enzo," Ava says shaking her head
I laugh "you literally said he was perfect I don't know what your talking about"
"Yeah well I was thinking it" she laughs a tiny bit
"WAIT...Matt, you said you work with Enzo" Ava says looking at Matt
"Shit I'm sorry Ava I didn't want you finding out like this " Matt says cringing a little
"So like your in the....mafia?" Ava says whispering
Matt nods
"Damn..." Ava says
"I'm sorry I didn't tell you," Matt says
After a while of Matt explaining everything in detail of how he only kills horrible people and that he doesn't have much of a choice because of his parents
Theres A lot of nods from a shocked Ava she then finally takes a deep breath and looks over at Matt
And what she says doesn't shock me whatsoever
This is typical Ava behavior
"Can I be like your mafia sidekick or some shit?" Ava says raising a brow at Matt
He looks at her for a second in shock
Enzo and I look at each other and start bursting out laughing
"Wait? Your serious..." Matt says
"Duh, Do I get like a hot black leather outfit and one of those cool daggers you put on your thigh" Ava says
"Sure whatever you want," he says kissing her laughing
"I really thought you would handle that differently" he shakes his head
"Yeah I thought Zara would to" Enzo laughs adding that in
I really did handle it pretty calmly but I think after all the trauma I went through with my parents, finding out Enzo and his parents protect people from bad people like my parents wasn't so bad
Enzo ended up spilling everything...even about buying the dang apartment building I used to live in, I ignored him for a day but then realized we never would've gotten closer if it wasn't for that
And plus the apartments were really shitty Anyway, and he was planning on taking those apartments before I was in the picture anyway so I forgave him
"So....is there anything progressing in your relationship?" I ask Ava
We're both in the kitchen getting some cake
She blushes "actually he asked me to officially be his girlfriend a few days ago" she smiles
"No way are you serious " I say jumping up and down screaming
Enzo walks into the kitchen
"Are you ok why are you screaming?" He said a little concerned

"Enzo!!!!" I say running up to him

"Guess what" I say excitedly

"Matt and Ava are officially a couple, how exciting" I say grinning

He laughs and kisses my pout "I'm sorry shall we throw them a party for being together?" He teasingly says raising an eyebrow
I gasp "THAT'S A GREAT IDEA! We can go to dinner or something!" I say grinning
He laughs "of course you think I'm serious" he shakes his head grinning
"Mia wanna go to a restaurant?" I ask
She jumps up and down "YES Mommy"
"Alright let's go get ready" I laugh giving Enzo a quick kiss before going to change Mia
"Tell Matt we're going out to eat as a celebration for your relationship" I tell Ava
She laughs "only you would celebrate that" she laughs shaking her head
"Oh be quiet! My best friend finally got a guy to get a hold of her heart This is a cause for celebration" I squeal
"Fine, but we Also celebrate you and Enzo's relationship too! Because you my friend have never been in a relationship, so that's even more exciting to celebrate And we can celebrate your strength and survival of the piece of shits!" She exclaims
"Alright" I laugh
We're now at dinner talking
"To love and strength!" Ava says
"To love and strength," we all say and I laugh as we all clink our glasses
"I love you" Enzo whispers in my ear kissing it ever so gently
I laugh lightly "I love you," I say kissing his cheek and laying my head on his shoulder
He kisses the top of my head
"Whatever happened when you got hurt?" I ask quietly remembering I wanted to know
He nods his head "I got a call not long ago saying they caught them so everything is fine now" he says
I hum knowing there pro ly dead but weirdly not caring
I know Enzo wouldn't kill someone for the fun of it, and plus they hurt him
I trust him and I know that the men pro ly did something bad
He's trying to distance himself from the mafia which is good
"So when's the wedding?" Ava smirks
"What wedding?" I ask
"OH Come on...You and Enzo live together, you technically have a kid together yet y'all ain't engaged yet?" She says laughing
I look at Enzo then I blush and look away
He chuckles
"I plan on making her my wife soon...but there's no rush...I want to make sure she's fully okay from what has happened this past week with her parents and I want to get closer to her I know it's important to her to have a big emotional connection..." he says
He grabs my hand "and now that we have spilled everything to each other and her parents are gone we can get to know each other on a bigger level without worry" he says smiling
"what the heck y'all are so cute" Ava says smiling
"What and we aren't ?" Matt says
"No Matty we're Hot together...there adorably whipped for each other" Ava says
"I'll take that" Matt laughs
"It wouldn't hurt for you to be cute and sappy though" Ava smirks
"I tried...you literally slapped me" Matt says
"Yeah but that was because I was on my period" Ava laughs rolling her eyes
"Aren't periods once a month?" Matt says
And Ava slaps him

"Whatever! But it wouldn't hurt for you to confess your undying love for me out loud" Ava smiles
"Okay" he shrugs and gets up
"shit where's he going" Ava whisper yells
Enzo and I look at where Matt is and see he's on the stage where the karaoke is performed
"Holy crap...he is NOT!" I say excitedly clapping my hands together
Enzo starts laughing "oh this is gonna be great"

Matt taps the mic "Hi my names Matteo...this is a song specifically for the girl I love she's right there! Stand up Ava" he grins while smirking a little

She slowly stands up, cheeks tinted pink from embarrassment
Enzo and I are full-on laughing while Mia is just munching on chicken strips and fries
"This songs for you my pinky pie I love you!" Matt says
And at that Enzo and I are DYING of laughter
"Enzo..." I whisper
"If you're asking me to go up there...no way in hell am I embarrassing both of us like that" he laughs
"HELL NO, I was gonna make you promise not to do public shit like that...my anxiety can't handle that" I say laughing
"Deal I won't do big public shit like that" he laughs kissing my cheek
"Good" I smile taking his hand in mine
The song 'I will always love you' by Whitney Houston plays
"he even picked a cringy karaoke song" Ava sinks lower into her seat
And Enzo and I are standing cheering him on laughing
"AND IIIIIIIIIIIEEEEIIII WILL ALWAYYYYSS LOVE YOUUUUUUUUUUUUOUOUOUUUU" Matt sings loudly...and not very good which makes it that much better
"AMAZING" Enzo screams clapping his hands laughing
The song is over after the funniest most entertaining 4 minutes ever
He comes back grinning at the applause
"AMAZING, You should propose to her like that when you want to pop the question" I say through laughs
"Agreed," Enzo says laughing
"Matt...your not a very good singer," Mia says giggling
"You can say that again" Ava mumbles
"I Cant Believe you did that" Ava groans
"Was that cute enough for you?" Matt smirks drinking his wine
"CUTE? That's Embarrassing Matt" she fake cry's out
"Well now you know I WILL AWAYS LOVE YOUUUUUUUUU-" he starts singing loudly before Ava slapped her hand over his mouth
"YOU MADE YOUR POINT! I'm fine with us being cute in only PRIVATE" she says
We all laugh
There cute just in a bicker playful type of way
"What do y'all want for dessert?" Matt asks
I look over at Enzo who's drinking his wine smirking at me
I kick his foot under the table and he chuckles while I roll my eyes
