After leaving the Madden Mansion, I asked Quinn about Lindsey.
"I don't remember much about Lindsey. I don't think I've seen her much."
I had almost forgotten what Lindsey looked like.
I asked, "Since Lindsey is overseas all year round, why is she coming back suddenly? Does she want to take over Georgia's branch company?"
At the very least, it wasn't to attend Benedict's birthday banquet although Tina said so.
Quinn said slowly, "Joseph and Tina had laid so much groundwork to get Georgia out of the branch company so that when Lindsey returns, she can take over the branch company."
I heaved a sigh. It was very common for wealthy families to fight for benefits.
Quinn was silent for a moment before saying, "Actually, Joseph and Georgia are at loggerheads because of Lindsey."
"Did something happen?" I smelled something fishy and looked at him curiously.
Quinn nodded and told me about one of the Madden family's secrets. "More than ten years ago, Georgia had a boyfriend. The two of them were very close. Not long after they lived together, Georgia got pregnant."
"Georgia has a child?" I was surprised. I'd always thought Georgia did not want children.
"The problem arose when Georgia decided to keep the baby."
I was confused and guessed, "Was it because her boyfriend didn't want to takeresponsibility?"
Quinn shook his head. "That man's family background was good. Grandpa liked him. At that time, the parents of both parties had met and they agreed to the marriage. Georgia and her boyfriend planned to get married after giving birth."
"Isn't that the best of both worlds?" The more I listened, the more confused I became. "Besides, what does this have to do with Lindsey?"
Quinn's expression suddenly turned cold. "At that time, Lindsey was not even ten years old. She was naughty and playful. Now and then, she would throw tantrums at home. She liked to draw, so she pasted her paintings everywhere in the mansion. One time, she found honey in the kitchen and suddenly wanted to use honey as glue. In the end, the stairs, dining table, and even the handrails of the stairs were covered in honey."
I vaguely guessed something.
Quinn paused for a moment before continuing, "That day, Georgia moved back to the mansion to prepare for the engagement. In the end, she accidentally slipped and rolled down the stairs. There was honey on the stairs. Not only did Georgia have a miscarriage, she injured herself too."
I sighed after hearing that.
Now that I thought about it, the reason why Georgia had become so irritable might be related to her painful experience back then.
Georgia lost her child, and she did not get married eventually.
I couldn't help but sigh again. "If it were me, I'd find it hard to forgive too."
Quinn said in a low voice, "Joseph and Tina knew that they were in the wrong. After that incident, Georgia's temper became very bad and threatened to kill Lindsey. The couple was so afraid that their daughter would be harmed, so they sent her overseas."
I said, "Now that Lindsey is an adult, and she is the only child of Joseph and Tina. She naturally won't be willing to stay overseas for the rest of her life."
Today, Alex gave Benedict 10% of the group's shares. This must have made Joseph and his wife envious.
Now I knew why the relationship between the couple and Georgia was so intense.
There was a high chance that the couple had maliciously framed Georgia for the pollen that caused Benedict to have an allergic effect.
"At that time, I felt that it was strange. If it was really Georgia who wanted to harm Benedict, she wouldn't have left the evidence in her bag."
"Georgia is no match for Joseph and Tina," Quinn said expressionlessly. "As long as Georgia doesn't make any serious mistakes in the company, Lindsey can forget about coming back to take over."
I completely understood everything. "So, the matter involving Benedict's allergy to pollen dragged Georgia into trouble. That was why Alex kicked her out of the house."
"Although Grandpa only said it in a fit of anger, Joseph and Tina seized this opportunity to target Nords Clothing." At this point, Quinn's tone became colder. "Otherwise, why would he arrange for Lindsey to study the relevant courses?"
"But why did Georgia suddenly lose contact? Even if she was kicked out of the family, there's no need to ignore the company." I frowned and analyzed, "Georgia wouldn't be so willful."
Other than being a little silly, Georgia would not give up the power in her hands.
The corners of Quinn's lips curled up into a meaningful smile. "If Georgia doesn't lose contact at this time, how can Joseph seize the opportunity to mention Lindsey's return?"
"You mean Joseph and Tina are responsible for Georgia's disappearance?" I was shocked and asked.
