The violent impact made me shudder. Raelynn groaned and fell limply to the floor.
"Raelynn, wake up!" I squatted down and quickly helped her up.
However, Raelynn was as drunk as mud. No matter how I called out, there was no response.
At the same time, the drunkard grabbed my wrist. He knew that I wouldn't leave Raelynn behind, so he became even bolder. He smiled evilly and said, "Follow me. I'll bring you and your friend to have fun."
I protected Raelynn in my arms. There was no weapon in my hand that could resist, so I could only try to continue kicking him.
The drunk man was already prepared. His other arm suddenly wrapped around my thigh.
"Bastard, let go of me!" I roared.
"Let's see where you can run to now." He looked at me with interest and smiled wretchedly. "It seems that you want to play with me on the spot." With that, he suddenly lowered his head and leaned toward me.
I was shocked. Just as I was about to cry, the drunk man suddenly let out a scream that sounded like a pig being slaughtered. "Who the fuck dares to meddle in my business? Let go!"
I looked up and saw Quinn appear behind the drunk man. He grabbed the drunk man's hair with one hand and his expression was terrifying.
Jess was standing beside Quinn. Seeing this, he cursed and punched the drunk man in the face.
The drunk man was stunned. The right side of his face immediately became red and swollen.
"Damn it, how dare you touch my woman!" Jess's eyes were filled with anger. After saying that, he threw another punch at the drunk man's left face.
The drunk man's face instantly swelled up like a pig's head. His wails were sharp and miserable. He suddenly knelt on the floor and begged for mercy. "Stop hitting me, stop... I... I was wrong!"
The customers coming and going in the bar shop watched a good show. Their expressions changed from curiosity to understanding. Someone even called the security guards over.
The drunk man was beaten up by Quinn and Jess. He scrambled away, and the security guards chased after him.
"Are you okay?" Quinn pulled me to his side and frowned as he lowered his head to observe my face seriously.
"I'm fine." I shook my head at him and turned to look at Raelynn. I hesitated and said, "But Raelynn..."
Raelynn looked like she was still unconscious.
Jess rushed to Raelynn and wrapped her in his coat. His eyes were filled with distress as he picked her up from the floor.
I sighed when I saw this. 'They were clearly lovers who had feelings for each other. Why did it end up like this?'
"Jess, you're also responsible for what happened tonight." I looked at Jess with a serious expression. "Raelynn really likes you. She said she couldn't stop thinking about you unless she was drunk. No matter how I persuaded her, it was useless."
"But she said that she wanted to break up with me." Jess frowned.
"That was out of anger," I reminded Jess. "If you like Raelynn too, you should respect her dreams and not try to control her life and force her to resign and become a full-time housewife for you and this relationship."
I didn't know what Jess was thinking, but he remained silent.
The drunk Raelynn mumbled, "I'm so thirsty. Where's the wine? I want to drink it. Forget about Jess..."
"Did you hear that? She's still calling your name when she's drunk!" I smiled and shook my head.
Quinn said to Jess, "What are you waiting for? Hurry up and bring her back."
Jess nodded and thanked me. Then, he carried Raelynn and left.
"You haven't been drinking, have you?" Quinn turned around and asked me softly.
I shook my head and said seriously, "No, I know my limits."
When Quinn heard this, he looked a little displeased. "Would you bring your female subordinate to a bar to get drunk if you knew your limits?"
