"Get rid of her? What do you mean by that?"
"Relax, I'm not talking about killing her. I'm not a murderer." Blair explained.
"Neither am I, so how do you intend to get rid of her, without killing her?" Candice asked.
"We'll make her leave on her own, trust me." Blair sounded so confident.
Candice raised an eyebrow. "And how are you going to do that? You seem so confident."
"Let's just say I know the one thing my sister can't stand, and that is being cheated on. Mason's betrayal would hurt her so much that she'll never want to see him again." Blair said.
Candice crossed her arms. "Sister, huh? Let me guess, your sister has something to do with the state you're in, doesn't she?"
Blair looked a little embarrassed. "All that matters is we have a common enemy. If we work together, we can get rid of her. What do you say?"
Candice paused for a moment, considering Blair’s offer. Then, a slow smile spread across her face. "I think you and I are going to get along just fine," she said, extending her hand. "I'm Candice by the way."
"Blair."
Later, as Blair returned to her ward, she bumped into Justin in the hallway.
"Can't you watch where---" Blair stopped when she realized who it was. "Justin. What are you doing here?"
Justin’s eyes swept over Blair, taking in the bandage on her head and the crutch in her hand. "I should be asking you the same thing," he said. "What happened to you?"
Before Blair could answer, a nurse appeared, offering to help her back to her room. But Justin waved her off.
"I've got it, you can go." He said, wrapping an arm around Blair to steady her.
Once they were alone in Blair’s ward, Justin sat beside her bed, his eyes gleaming with interest. "So are you gonna tell me how this happened?"
Blair finished explaining everything that had happened to Justin. She told him how Raven went ahead and married Mason, then claimed not to know who he was. Then she told Justin how Mason had pushed her, resulting in her head injury and sprained ankle.
"So, what's your plan?" Justin asked, sensing the hatred Blair had towards Mason and his wife.
Blair looked at him, her eyes narrowing. "You don't think I'm a bad person, do you? For wanting revenge?"
Justin’s lips curled into a smirk. "Mason isn’t exactly my favorite person in the world. Any enemy of his is a friend of mine."
Blair’s eyes widened slightly. "You seem to know him well,"
Justin shrugged. "He's my cousin."
Blair blinked in surprise. She had heard of Mason having a cousin before but had never paid much attention to him, until now. Blair wondered how she had been so bent on getting Mason, she forgot there was another Barrett. She noticed there was some tension between them and she planned to use it in her favour.
The next day, Raven arrived at the hospital, a bag in hand with clean clothes for Charles and Julie. Charles was getting discharged today. Raven observed that he was stubborn; the doctors advised him to stay, but he refused to listen to anyone.
Mason had gone to the office after his father had persuaded him, but Julie hadn’t left the hospital since they arrived. She's just as stubborn as Charles.
As Raven walked down the hall, she spotted Justin coming out of Blair’s room. She became suspicious of both of them.
"If those two are together, then they'd be up to no good." She thought.
Justin saw her and smirked. "Hello, gorgeous," he said, his voice dripping with arrogance.
Raven tried to ignore him and walked past, but Justin grabbed her arm, pulling her back.
"What the hell is wrong with you? Have you suddenly forgotten that I'm married to your cousin?" She yelled at him.
"What's the matter, love?" He asked, leaning in closer. "I don't bite... unless you want me to. Then I can think of all the places I'd love to bite."
"Get your hands off me," Raven hissed, trying to pull away, but Justin leaned down and kissed her neck, leaving a mark.
Raven shoved him away and slapped him, furious. "I am married to Mason, so get that into your thick skull and stay the hell away from me." She snapped. "If you ever try something like that again, I’ll have no choice but to tell Mason about your stupid gestures. Oh, and that'd be after I chop your balls off, moron."
Justin chuckled as she stormed off, wiping her neck angrily.
Unknown to Raven, Blair had been watching from the doorway, with her phone in hand, capturing the whole interaction. She smirked as she looked at the pictures. To anyone else, it would look like Raven was having an affair with Mason’s cousin.
"I guess we didn't have to wait for the perfect chance, the universe seems to be on our side." Blair showed the photos to Justin, who grinned.
"This is going to cause quite the scandal," he said.
"For a moment, I got scared; when I heard her voice, I knew she'd become suspicious if she knew we're acquitted. I hate to say it but she's smart." Blair admitted. "Who knew we could turn the situation around."
"Bet she didn't see that coming," Justin smirked, biting his lip. He couldn’t wait to see how Mason reacts when tomorrow's headline is about his wife's secret affair with his cousin.
