Mason and Raven walked into the living room, hand in hand, only to be met with a chaotic scene. Candice and Julie were arguing, and Damon held Julie back before she could attack Candice. Julie’s voice was filled with so much anger.
"You're full of it! Mason would never cheat on Raven, my brother's not that kind of person." Julie shouted, her fists clenched at her sides.
Justin, who stood beside Blair, smirked as he turned towards Mason and Raven. "Well, here he is! Why don't we ask him himself?"
Mason's grip on Raven’s hand, tightened. His eyes narrowed as he glanced at Justin and then Candice. "What the hell is going on here? And what are you two doing here?"
Justin smiled, feigning innocence. "I came to visit Uncle Charles, of course. Oh, and to also introduce you all to my girlfriend, Blair." Justin said, wrapping his arm around Blair’s waist. "Uncle and I were having a good chat, when Candice came in requesting to see you."
Mason's jaw clenched, while Raven's attention immediately shifted to Blair, who was smiling uncontrollably beside Justin. Blair watched the drama unfold with a satisfied smirk.
Before Mason could react, Candice took a step forward. "That's right, Mason. I'm here because there’s something important I need to tell you." She paused dramatically before continuing. "I'm pregnant, Mason. I'm having your child."
Raven froze, her mind struggling to process Candice’s words. She opened her mouth to speak but no words came out. Was this some sort of joke?
Candice reached into her purse, pulled out a home pregnancy test, and held it up for Mason to see. "Here, look at the two lines on it," she said, waving the stick in front of him. "It's positive, I'm pregnant."
Raven scoffed in total disbelief. She stepped between Mason and Candice, facing her with a glare. "You're hopeless, you know that? Mason doesn't want you, so you come up with this pathetic lie about being pregnant?"
Candice chuckled darkly, taking a step closer. "Oh Raven, it’s not my fault you can’t keep your husband satisfied. He needed comfort, and I was more than happy to give him what he wanted."
Julie, who had been watching in disbelief, finally snapped. "Stop talking rubbish! My brother would never go back to you for anything."
Blair, who had been quiet up until now, let out a dramatic sigh and shook her head. "There's so much drama in my little sister’s marriage. First, she’s caught cheating, and now Mason too? Quite the pair."
Raven turned towards Blair, her patience wearing thin. "Shut up, Blair. Whatever twisted games you’re playing, it's not going to work. You hear me?" She turned back to Candice, her voice low and deadly. "And you, you better leave this house before I do something we’ll all regret."
Candice looked amused rather than scared, she crossed her arms over her chest. "Why should I leave? Mason got me pregnant, so he needs to take responsibility. I'm not raising this baby alone."
Raven's lips twisted into a bitter smile. "You're delusional. Someone else got you pregnant, and now you’re trying to pin it on my husband. You should’ve done the math right, you and Mason haven’t been together in ages."
Candice’s smile grew wider. "Two weeks. I’m two weeks pregnant, Raven. Remember the night you kept calling Mason, and he didn’t come home? That’s because he was with me."
Raven felt like the ground had been pulled out from under her. She stood frozen in place, shaking her head, refusing to believe what Candice was saying. "You're lying. Mason wouldn’t do that to me." She whispered, more to herself than anyone else.
"Oh?" Candice smirked, she pulled out her phone and showed Raven a picture. The image of her and Mason in bed together, both of them cuddling. A sudden wave of nausea rushed over her. It felt as if her heart was ripped out of her and torn into a million pieces, right before her eyes. She turned to Mason, eyes wide with disbelief.
"That's an old picture, right?" She asked, her voice barely above a whisper. "Tell me that’s an old picture, Mason. You wouldn’t cheat on me. Just say it, say she's lying. I promise I trust you."
Mason opened his mouth to respond, but the words caught in his throat. His hesitation told Raven all she needed to know. She turned back towards Candice, her anger rising slowly. "If you're trying to get on my nerves, stop. You have no idea what's going to happen if you don't leave now."
Blair, sensing the outcome of Raven’s rage, slowly backed away from where she stood. The last thing she wanted was to get caught in the crossfire between her sister and Candice. The last time, she almost ruined her beautiful face.
Candice, however, wasn’t planning on giving up. Why? Are you going to cry, Raven? Did you think he loved you? Don't be stupid. I’ll always have a place in his heart.
Charles gave Damon a warning glare that told him not to interfere. He wanted Mason to fix this mess he created.
"Enough, Candice!" Mason’s voice thundered through the room, his expression cold.
"What? You didn't tell her? You didn't tell her I asked you to give me another chance, and you agreed? You gave me that chance to show you how much you mean to me."
That was it. Raven couldn’t take it anymore. With one swift move, she slapped Candice across the face, the sound echoing through the room. Candice stumbled back in shock before lunging forward, ready to attack. Raven reacted quickly, gently shoving her to the side.
Mason rushed forward, grabbing Candice and pulling her away from Raven. Raven watched in disbelief as he gently helped Candice up.
"What are you doing, Mason?" She asked, her voice breaking.
"If she’s pregnant, then there's a possibility she's carrying my child," Mason said softly, avoiding her gaze.
