I groaned from the tightness I was feeling around my wrist , slowly looking down at my wrist noticing the handcuffs were living a mark .
"Boss , I think I'm getting fat . These ain't never been this tight before ." I said , hearing the guard chuckle behind me . "Shit ain't funny , why is you laughing ?."
"I just love seeing you inmates in pain , in satisfies me ." The pale guard say's , pushing my back leading me to the visitation room .
"That's just weird , god don't like seeing people in pain ." I told the guard , he sucks his teeth grabbing me by my collar slamming me on the brick wall .
I groaned from the previous wounds on my body , letting my eyes trail up at the ceiling watching the lights above us flicker .
"If god don't like seeing people in pain , why isn't he helping you inmate?" The guard say's letting out a cruel laughter grabbing out his baton that was beside him , deciding to hit me with it .
I fell to the ground again letting out a silent groan , slowing trying to pick myself up acting like nothing happened when i started to hear a few footsteps coming from the back of my ear .
"Okay , get up." He demands , trying to act like he was helping me up leading me towards the visitation room . "You got 2 minutes , hurry up."
"Mhm." I replied dryly hearing the buzzer go through both of my ears , looking over at my ex . "Tired of seeing her face." Mumbling to myself , taking a seat on the metal seat .
"Hey Key'mir."
"Anyway's , i need a favour from you it's urgent." She scoffs at my response , rolling her eye's . "C'mon cuh , it's for my boy Paco."
"Key , ion like how you use me for shit like this .. I thought you really wanted to talk or even at least look at me ." She say's trying to move her right hand closer to me before i back my hands away .
She continued , lowering her eyebrows down . Frowning . "Why won't you look at me nomore ..? Is it because of Amoura bro ? Key she's dead."
"You keep saying she dead when she really not , it's like i'm the only one that loves our daughter."
She decides to laugh . "Nigga she dead , just accept the shit . And you crazy for even thinking she still alive , don't forget that it was your fault that our little girl is dead bro."
She start's to breakdown . "I told you not take our daughter to your stupid as dropoffs."
"The fuck ?!." I mugged at her raising my tone just alittle . "Fuck i look like leaving my child home alone? You know what type of fucking community we live in cuh."
"Key! you acting like my mama is dead , you could've dropped her there."
"With them drunk as nigga's she be letting inside that grimey as crib? Hell nawl mane ." I sucked my teeth , hitting my hand on the table . "Ain't risking shit with your hoe as mama."
"Boy ! you already risked shit for letting her in your car that day , my daughter is dead because of you Key , my only daughter Key." She say's , letting a tear drop sliding down her cheek .
"Key'mir .. own up to your shit." She sniffles lightly , wiping her eyes . Blinking numerous times .
I sighed looking down at the table fidgeting with my finger's . "Sorry."
"And you mean that?" She asked , holding onto my hand while i picked up my head , locking eye's with her .
"No touching !." One of the guards yelled , causing her to flinch alittle removing her hand off me .
"But yeah i mean it , and i'm sorry for not owning up to the shit ." Reaching my arms up alittle rubbing my eye's . "Bra ion know i guess , i barely remember ."
"It's okay , c'mon let's say our prayer we use to say when we go back and fourth."
"Can't hold your hand , don't be stupid now dawg." I chuckled lightly watching her shrug her shoulder's . "Ight , you say it ."

"Bra c'mon." I rolled my eye's , waiting for her to finish the rest of the prayer .

"Amen." We both say in unison . "Don't bring your ghetto here , fa real shit ." I said telling her .
"I heard you Key , what was the favour you need tho?"
"I need a phone for my boy Paco , they not letting him see his girl ."
"Key'mir you really gon push your sentence trying to help a nigga that's probably not going to have your back like that ." She scoffs giving me a disgusted look . "Bye thee fucc ."
I sucked my teeth letting my head fall back . "He gon miss his girls birthday ,if you was in that situation I know your crazy as would've spazzed on me or some shit ."
She sighs heavily . "Fine , what's her name? And where she stay?"
"Uhh." I thought to myself struggling to remember what her name was . "First ian know ole girl name and Paco said she stay in Compton ."
"Okay i was going to head over there anyway's."
"Why? who you meeting down there ." I asked muggin directly at her .
"Key it ain't your business , we ain't been together for years so why you stressing if i was to see someone anyways?" She ask's waiting for my response. "Exactly ."
"I can't trip bout who you about to fuck with? Ion want you messing with no bitch as nigga that ain't gon treat you right cuh."
She smiled cooing causing me to let out a gag noise . "Don't do that babying shit bra."
"It's cute Key , you starting to change and i like that."
"Ewww." I smiled lightly chuckling . "Talking to me like i'm some sweet nigga , you gon make me act out ."
"Boy shut up , take care of yourself in there for real .. I love you Key."
I looked at her with my low eyebrows , smiling lightly . "Love you too punc." I replied , holding her hands getting up before getting pulled back by the guard .
I start to sigh . "Mane , how you been boss?"
The guard looks down at me while I leaded the way back to the court yard . "Why do you inmates like calling us boss ? What do y'all gain?"
"What you want us to start call y'all big bitches in a uniform or sum?" I chuckled at what I said hearing murmuring in the area . "Where we going?" I asked , watching a couple of paramedics running past us ignoring it .
I asked unusual on the way we were heading , this wasn't even nomore near the way to the court yards .
He clears his throat keeping silent , I kept silent aswell watching every inmate I walked past banging on their cell .
"What's good holmes?" I nod my head lightly greeting him . "Why you here g."
"Nigga ion know the fuck ." I sucked my teeth continuing to walk .
"Stop here." The guard say's stopping at a familiar cell . "Open cell 28!" He yells out standing behind me letting the cell gate open up with a small creek forming out.
I stepped foot inside trying to find out who's cell it was since there was no sun light being beamed inside , it felt like I was back in the box .
"Why you acting so shy Key." Woons walks out from the dark corner sucking his teeth , I waved him off dapping him up hearing the cell close up . "Missed you ass cuh ."
"Nigga you say you miss a nigga but don't never speak to me foo ."
He chuckles hitting the back of my head playfully . "I have guards around me 24/7 , and you know I can't make contact with inmates like that ."
"Cause you be side way's , that's what I be hearing ." I said , lying fidgeting around with my nails still having my hands both cuffed up .
"Yo word?" He asks surprised . "Which one of them fatherless niggas said that bullshit cuh?"
I shrugged noticing him clenching his jaw , going over towards the brick wall letting a clean punch hit onto the wall beside him .
"Ian fatherless nigga ."
"You lying nigga , you fatherless bitch . Fuck you mean Key?"
I suck my teeth . "See na ian even the type to beat around the bush for real shit , I know you want me dead Woon. Yo lil nigga told me when I was in the box foo , nigga you ain't slick cuh ."
"What lil nigga?" Woon chuckled giving me a confused look . "You talking about Naj Key?"
I starred at him directly not saying anything indicating i already gave him a silent response .
"Got rid of that kid this morning , you ain't see the ambulance your way out cuh?" He chuckles aggressively .
"What you do bro?" I asked being concerned . "Woon you wrong for that , that's a whole kid mane."
He shrugs showing no remorse nor emotion in his face , chuckling . "Key i ain't do nun." He spat . "Naj hanged himself in his cell , obviously Satan was getting to his head."
"You not funny gang , you dead wrong Woon . On gang."
"The fuck up ." He replies letting a small drop of his saliva land on my cheek . "Acting like you ain't on the same level of crazy like me , what's up cuh ."
"I'm a changed person." I said , hearing him laugh at me comment thinking what i said was funny . "Alright ."
"What bitch getting in your head ." Woon say's raising his tone alittle as the other inmate's started ears dropping in .
"The nurse?" Woon say's earning a couple of comment's that were trying to get his head hyped up .
I sucked my teeth walking towards the cell . "Ian have time for this , and don't being the nurse innis shit."
"Na , cause how you letting a bitch change you?" Woon say's.
"Fuck you mean ." I asked starting to get irritated being confused . "Ain't no bitch changed me , i changed myself and found piece somewhere ." I laughed waving him off , "You getting buck at me like you doing something."
"Don't lose your life over words Key."
"Ion care." Shrugging dryly . "We've been brother's for year's so ian know why you acting south with me right now."
"Igh man." He replies dryly , grabbing my collar . "Quit talking to a bitch i had first , hop off that nurse."

"Mane whatever , get me out ion have time for this ."

"So what she say?" Paco asked leaning his back onto the brick wall while his left hand was holding a medium-sized mirror fixing up his durag.
He looks up at me raising his eyebrows , waiting for my response . "You straight , she got you and shit ."
"You know damn well you baby mom's ain't say that shit cuh." I laughed at his response waving him off , laying my back onto my bed .
"You know what I was trying to say Paco , don't be slow bra."
"I'm chillin cuh ."
"Bro guess what ." I got out the position I was in now facing him having my both of my feet rest down onto the cement .
"What?" Paco asked moving his face with the mirror checking himself out .
"Woon tweakin cause I'm talking to that nurse , bra and that ain't even a big deal . He tweakin cause he used to fuck with girl ."
"That's some petty shit yo ." Paco chuckles shaking his head .
"Word up mane . Ion even like the nurse like that."
Paco looks at me like i'm dumb , smirking alittle rolling his eye's . "Alright buddy." He say's mocking what Paul would used to say . "If you say so Key."
"Ion like her , and if she feel a type of way that ain't my fault."
"You gon make her feel sum type away , and that's gon be your fault fasho." Paco say's pointing directly at me . "Stop bothering the nurse then , leave her alone."
"No." I sucked my teeth resting my arms on my thighs , running my hands down my face . "I'm not leaving her alone , ion care."
"Dawggg." Paco chuckles dragging his words placing the mirror on the floor beside him . "My shit really gon start out growing bra , ain't have a clean perfect cut in years mane."
I mugged at him giving him a disgusted look . "Foo you look homeless."
"Key you look homeless to bitch."
"Nawl , unlike you i know some folks that can get my shit cut up." I said touching my head leaning it closer to him . "You see this fade right here." Tapping into my cheek .
"Nawl ion see no fade just some bullshitin' as nigga named Key'mir."
"Fuck you." I mugged looking away from him starring at the bars . "Why you went off at Kevo last time?"
"You must want me to knock you in your jaw right now , cause you asking for it."
I chuckles getting off the bed . "Move bra , just asking a brother a simple question ."
"But you already know the answer to it foo but anyway's you eat the food from the cafeteria today?" Paco asked , i shook my head in response already telling that he knows that i was lying .
He sucks his teeth letting out a deep sigh . "Why you tryna starve yourself?"
I shrugged dryly . "I'm just not hungry , and the food nasty . Be having my stomach hurting during the night."
"You know what you is doing." He made out an ugly laugh . "Nigga you know what you is doing ." Paco say's before walking out the cell , leaning himself on the rail .
"Bruh wait." I got up jogging out the cell attempting to cover his mouth . "Paco wait."
"Aye bra ! Key like the nurse cuh!" He yell's earning a few laughter's from the other cells starting up a loud crowd in our section now shifting his body facing me .
"Fuck you." I mouthed over to him dapping up a few people that had walked past me . "Don't say not shit to me." I sucked my teeth telling a random inmate .
"S-sorry." He stuttered with his words walking off before stopping in his tracks , looking back my way . "Wait , don't you used to talk to Naj? that kid ."
"Uh , yeah you could say that? why wassup?" I asked having preferably already know where this conversation was going to lead to .
"You know he dead right? He hanged himself ." The inmate say's with a low voice shaking his head . "Prison ain't for everyone , always check on your homies fasho."
"Heard you man." I nodded dapping him up , starting to watch him distance himself from us .
"That kid killed himself?" Paco asked being surprised .
"Mhm , may god bless his soul fa'real." I said grabbing my chain , kissing the cross looking up at the ceiling.
"God bless his soul." Paco say's.
