"I missed you bra , how you been baby?" I held onto Nova's hand rubbing onto it hearing the guards key's jingle causing me to let go instantly .
No touching was aloud in my visits . The guards would be quick to assume I'm sneaking something in .
She smiles in return with her bottom lip quivering . "How'd you get this to happen Poseidon? I'm sad that you two days late for my birthday ."
"Nigga atleast I'm here , happy birthday baby ." I replied , irritated that her only focus was on that I was 2 days late .
Atleast acknowledge that I'm here and I miss you , and you miss me bra .
"Poseidon you late .." she stale faces me making me start to regret this opportunity.
"Anyways they treating you right in there?" She asked placing her purse on top of the table .
"Why would they treat me right? They clapped my favourite guard g ." Sucking my teeth harshly .
"Baby you talking about Peter? The one with the glasses and that Justin Bieber haircut?" I laughed at what she said nodding my head . "Awee , who killed him .. was it one of your friends ."
"Why would you think it would be one of my friends?" I gave her a dumb look , pulling my eyebrows together .
"Baby you hang around killers .."
"..." I stayed quiet for a second still giving her a dumb look . "I'm a killer myself , fuck you tryna say Nova? sum bad bout killer's cuh?"
"Why are you getting so fucking defensive Poseidon." She sucks her teeth getting comfortable in the seat .
"Bitch don't give me no fucking attitude , and I'll get defensive whenever the fuck i want . Nova you making slick comment's bout my boy's like i won't fuck you up."
I stared at her clenching up my fist slowly trying to calm myself down .
I tend to get mad easily and i couldn't help myself , but i wouldn't let my anger out on my girl physical but emotionally i would .
She frown's in return . "Don't talk to me like that .. talk to me right Poseidon ."
"Mane shut the fuck up , don't make assumptions hoe ."
"Poseidon , you sticking backing up inmate's that would probably kill you in your cell in a quick second." Both her eyebrow's dropped . "You don't even know them like that ."
"I've been with them niggas for years girl , fuck you tryna say? Damn well they been by my side more than you ." Sucking my teeth . "Watch how you speak on my brother's ."
"Don't call em brothers if they not blood baby ." Nova say's , reaching in to grab my hand .
I hesitated moving them back towards me . "Move ." Mumbling loudly hearing her suck her teeth .
"Stop being weird , your daughter misses you ." She stares up at me , smiling showing her cheek bones . "And I miss you , stop acting so weird."
"I'm not being weird cuh ." Sucking my teeth aggressively . "But you wasting my time fa real , just ruined my whole fuckin mood today . Shit wasn't even worth it bra."
Nova gets up dramatically , disgusting her face up "So you saying you don't miss out daughter?" She asked .
I pulled my eyebrows together confused in the moment , she really makes me want to knock her head back in .
I stood up aswell , letting my cuffed up hands rest on the table . "Nova I ain't say that , I miss her more than you fasho ."
She scoffs , leaning on the table moving closer towards me before letting her hand slap against my face .
Leaving a stingy feeling for 5 seconds before it felt normal . "Why the fuck would you miss her more than me?"
"Mane fuck you on cuh ?." I asked shaking my head . "Yo big headed as tripping cause I miss my daughter more than yo confusing as cuh?"
"Our daughter." She corrects me with a slight sass .
"Matter fact , where is she? Cause I just noticed ion see her right now ." I replied causing her to loose eye contact with me . "Yo Nova ."
She shrugs dryly giving me the cold shoulder , picking up her purse. "it's none of your business worry about your brother's in them cells ."
"They ain't tripping like how you're tripping right now bro , cause you actin different . When I did some fuck as shit just to see you that could boost my sentence up ."
She stale faces me not replying back .
I stood up from the seat , letting the hand cuff hit the table . Sighing heavily .
"Just be thankful baby ." My eyes focused on her before she pulled out a mini Polaroid photo out of her purse .
Nova moves closer towards me , smiling happily . "I want you to have this , we took it on my birthday ."
A small smile started to rise from my face . "Man." I chuckled lightly looking down at a photo of my daughter I haven't seen in a few years . "That's my princess."
Nova was stingy about me seeing my daughter . All these years she never told me why .
I just figured Nova wanted our daughter's mind to be straight and clear about me , and not see me as some bad guy .
Whenever I ask her it's always an excuse about her not wanting to come and see her daddy .
Well that's if Nova even spoke or mentioned her about me when i left year's back .
"Why she ain't come with you today Baby? No excuses this time cuh ." I sucked my teeth looking around a few times before grabbing the polaroid photo .
Looking around the area before hiding it under my armpit so no guards will see .
Nova clears her throat , grabbing a hold of her purse. "She's always been here , i just didn't want her to see you like this , all cuffed up and shit." She mugs .
"So? She seen my like this before the fuck ." I responded back to Nova , biting the insides of my cheek .
Nova rolls her eyes . "Yeah , when she was 3."
"Ju—."
"5 minutes Poseidon , chop chop ." The guard behind me says clearing his throat , cutting off my sentence .
"Baby , that was when she was two she's five now ." Nova begins to sigh. "You know what , can you get my daughter for me please . She's wearing a yellow shirt she's around the corner ."
"This bitch ." I mumbled to myself bawling my fist up watching the guard go around the corner . "You're sick."
"A thank you would be nice ." She responds with a slight attitude while I watched my little girl run towards Nova .
Wrapping her little arms around her leg . "Princess , your daddy wants to talk to you ."
"No." Princess say's , not even laying a single eye on me . She looked so terrified , I just want to know what Nova be telling her . "You said daddy don't wanna see me."
"Nah , nah ." I stood up a little having my hands out . "Princess I would never say that cuh ." Smiling lightly hearing Nova scoff . "Come here ."
"Mama I'm scared ." Her voice cracks alittle .
"No , no." I breathed in heavily trying to scoot over to Princess . "Youn gotta be scared of daddy , come here ."
Princess still held onto Nova's leg looking up at her before looking over towards me , slowly removing her hands off her mother's legs .
"It's okay ." I told her calmly noticing she was starring at the hand cuffs around my wrist walking towards me slowly. "princess it's okay."
I wanted to cry so bad , nobody could understand how I'm feeling right now.
"I thought you said you didn't want to see me , mama said that you hate me." She says softly pulling in for a hug , while we swang around for a few seconds .
I chuckled lightly having a small wet tear slide down my cheek , pulling away from her wiping off a tear quickly .
"Lil girl I'd never hate you!" I clenched my jaw looking at Nova . "You're the best thing that happened to me ."
"Then why you don't come see me nomore ?." I held onto princess's little hands looking down at my feet before picking my head back up . "Cause daddy got a mission to do ."
"Really!" She says with small excitement looking back at Nova . "Mama , daddy on another mission."
I chuckled lightly nodding my head still holding onto her hand . "Yeah , and it's gone take awhile . What you want me to get you when I'm done?"
"Ice cream! and—and ." She stutters giggling . "And a puppy."
"Fasho , how's school tho princess?" I asked receiving a sly shrug .
"My friends are bullying me and my clothes , and I don't wanna tell mama because she want me to fight them."
"Mane I'll fu—" I sucked my teeth cutting me off kneeling down at her level pulling in for a hug. "Them girls not your friends if they bullying you , friend's don't do that."
I pulled up watching her nod her head . "Friends are supposed to make you smile and help you not being you down princess , remember that igh? And I'll send ya mama sum money.
"Mhm." I smiled at her response .
"I love you princess." Kissing the top of her forehead feeling the guard behind me lay his hand in my shoulders indicating that time was up . "I have to go to my mission now."
I stood up from the kneeling position walking off with the guard before hearing little footsteps run from behind my ear .
Her tiny hands wrapped around my leg causing me to stop in my tracks . Turning around looking down at her . "I love you too dad."

"Paco what that bald hoe said?" Kevo asked causing me and Key to laugh while we sat down on the metal seats . "You niggas laughing , I'm so serious."
"Kevo you don't like nobody bra." Key say's from the side of me cracking up . "And ain't no way you letting this goofy call yo baby motha a hoe."
"Maneee." I waved Key'mir off looking around the area for safety reasons . "I'll kill that hoe if I had the chance."
Kevo laughs from Infront of me . "It's fuck life huh?"
"She gon say sum false shit like , daddy said he don't want to see you . Man that shit got me heated." Running my hands down my face before bangin' my hand on the table .
"Well , did you atleast see your daughter nigga?" Key asked bluntly .
I nodded my head in return . "She told me sum lil bitches are bullying her about ha clothes or some shit ."
"Paco if youn do nun about that ima start calling you a pure bitch in a second. Cuhh ." Kevo lets out an ugly laugh . "I'ma start counting down."
"Nawl them folks wrong fa that gang." Key taps my back . "I'll make a phone call and get them hoes to shut up realll quick bro."
I liked talking about my business to Key and Kevo , but I hated when they want to involve themselves into it .
Especially Key'mir , that nigga is a fein for violence just like me but just not as vicious as he gets .
I'm the only person that knows why his really in here , Kevo just thinks Key'mir is only in for several counts of gun possession , drug charges and killing a police .
But it's more to that , his got the longest sentence from all of us . Not my place to speak on it though .
"Not key tryna be captain save ah nigga , goofy you gon put ah bounty on a kid?!"
"What?!" Key responds to Kevo before chuckling lightly . "It'll look like a accident , the fuck up ."
Key gets up getting distracted from another prisoner that had fallen down Infront of us . "Keep on fucking walking."
"Better crawl ya way out." Kevo spat kicking him down before he even got the chance to get up . "Ear's dropping like a bitch."
"Y'all are a bunch of bullies." I sucked my teeth looking back at Kevo and Key sap each of up . "Yo , get to going before that start sum shit ."
"Ayo what's the deal with that nurse." I said watching Kevo fold his lips .
"My boy Key a simp." Kevo chuckled unzipping halfway of his jumpsuit leaving his wife beaters shirt to stand out . "Wish they had a AC in here."
"I'm not a simp fuck nigga." Key shrugs playing with his hair . "I just think the nurse attractive that's all , nun extra ."
Me and Kevo lost our attention away from him starring at each other letting out an ugly laugh . "I just think the nurse attractive that's all." We both mocked after him .
"You want me to stab you so yo ass can see the nurse ." Kevo says causing me to give him a shocked look . "Jokey joke."
"I've been stabbed enough , fuck that." Key waves Kevo off . "Not risking my life for some girl."
"Well , since you said it like that." Kevo hops off the table rubbing his hands together . "Ima shoot my sho-."
Key'mir started to hop off the table aswell , starring down at Kevo grabbing a aggressive hold onto his wife beaters. "Back the fuck off kid."
Kevo has his hands up in defense . "You know i was playing." Kevo chuckles before sucking his teeth moving Key's hand off his shirt .
"Grab on me like that again , you rolling up in a morgue Key . Shit aint sweet."
There was one thing i hated and loved about Kevo .
He always stood on what he was on , everything thing he spits out from his mouth is one hundred percent gon happen or go side.
He has a soft spot though , and i was surprised myself that it was family or brothers from another mother you shared a good bond with .
"Go head and dap that shit out fo' i have to start cleaning up one of y'all blood's." I laughed having both of the follow behind me . "That's right , dap yo brother up."
"Why Kevo acting like he got bitch feelings right now?" Kevo scoffs . "I ain't neva had yo big as speak nice to me cuh."
"This gon be the last." I looked around the area one more time watching Woon and a couple of his boy's making themselves our way .
I tapped on Key's chest slightly nodding my had at him then over at Kevo .
Standing up first while the other's followed along . "Woon , what's good?" I asked watching him rub his chin before scratching his balls yawning .
"There's a snitch up in this bitch , i'm telling yall niggas right now cause today gon be the first day us niggas ain't gon have a clean cut."
Woon makes his comments causing his boys to laugh along. "And tell that nigga Key to meet me at the church."
What that fool said wasn't even nowhere near funny , whole lotta dick riding shit fasho .
