ALPHA RAIDEN
She was staring at me with dreamy eyes.
She was looking at me like I was her favorite snack and heck was she confusing me. Why would she look at me like that as she ate and make me want to be her food or her cutlery? Why would she-
“She wants you, that’s why.” Lex spewed nonsense into my mind.
I cautioned him instantly, “Please don’t start with me. I’m boiling up here and I recall how she ran away the last time I asked to kiss her.”
Perhaps it was all just in my head.
Perhaps she was just still sleepy and what she needed was space. I should take things slow with her. She hasn’t even taken me back or agreed to ever take me back-
“In my opinion, you are too slow and you should close the space between you both not widen it. You are a fucking Alpha for goddess’s sake and Alphas have needs. Don’t be a puny, Lucas.” Lex practically rolled his eyes in my mind, fueling the sudden hotness that was rapidly taking over my body.
At that same moment, Fiona rolled her tongue over her upper lip and sucked on the lower one, making me groan out loud, “ Fuck!”
Her brows furrowed a little as she asked me, “Are you okay?”
“Yes. Yes, I’m okay,” I breathed, looking away from her before I jumped her tired bones like some caveman.
She didn’t read the room even though we were alone because if she had done that, she wouldn’t have started saying, “You don’t look okay-“”Fuck, Fiona.” I cut in before I could stop myself. “You’re killing me and you won’t even let me rest in peace.’

The dreamy look she had turned into a deep frown and I immediately missed it. She asked, “But I’m simply eating the food you gave me. How am I killing you?”
“You are kidding, aren’t you? You should see the way you are looking at me.” I scoffed but found the fake innocent expression on her face amusing.
She fought back a smile when she asked, “How am I looking at you, Alpha Lucas?”
I swallowed hard and shifted in my seat uncomfortably, “Like you’d rather eat me than what you have on your plate.”
She didn’t respond for a while but when she did, she had me gasping for sweet air. “What if I’d rather have you on my plate?”
She didn’t just say that. She didn’t just say that. She didn’t just say that.
I chanted to myself as many times as possible because I knew what was at risk.
Even if she did say that it has to be because she wasn’t herself. She was tired and my mom drugged her-
“Are you just going to look at me like that? I thought you wanted to be on my plate.” Fiona uttered so softly. She went on to speak these words slowly, dragging each of them like she really wanted me to jump her bones, “I thought you would be kissing me right about now, Alpha Lucas.”
I struggled to unfreeze my tongue and when I succeeded, I asked, barely stopping my heart from jumping out of me, “Why would you change your mind all of a sudden? You said no and you ran off-”
“I said you could kiss me someday and I have decided that today is the day.”
“But why now? I swear to god if you are toying with me-”
“Just kiss me before I change my mind and kick you out of my hut, Alpha Lucas.” Fiona cut in and I painfully waited for her to not change her mind before I jumped off my seat and went straight for her face.
Goddess, I would be kissing her,
My blood pumped and I could feel little but definitely not so little Lucas getting excited as I breathed Fiona’s scent in, perceiving jer arousal. That was all the confirmation I needed. I didn’t care why anymore.
She wanted me at that moment and I wanted her too.
I felt the softness of her face underneath my palm and her eyes closed as if she was memorizing my touch. She inhaled deeply and held her breath as if her heart was threatening to jump out of its place as well.
Fuck, she lifted her chin, giving her lips to me and silently saying she let go of the past and I brought mine closer and closer, silently saying, “Thank you for forgiving me.”
The second my lips grazed Fiona’s, I felt heaven and I sought to pursue it,,, have a deeper taste of it but she inhaled loudly and her eyes flew open as she went rock solid.
I would have assumed she was disgusted by me if I hadn’t noticed that her eyes had turned white with zero spots. “Fiona?” I called for her as I pulled back to give her space.
However, she grabbed my hand and remained in that state for at least five minutes before she blinked rapidly and began to shake her head.
“No. No. No.” She cried out. “This can’t happen. I can’t let this happen.”
What?
The kiss or was there something else?
