Fiona
I stepped out of the bathroom, smelling like roses and fresh out of a milky bath that made me feel like a newborn. Although Katie and Kyle were still in the room, I saw Maya standing by the bedside mirror.
My daughter answered my silent question when she said, “It’s time to style your hair, Mom. Maya is here to help.”
Kyle rushed to pull out the chair for me and I kissed his forehead as a reward. My little man blushed before returning to his sister’s side.
“Thank you for doing this, Maya,” I said to the sweet teenager.
“It’s always a pleasure, Luna,” Maya responded. She applied hair product to my hair before blow drying skillfully. After minutes of silence, Maya muttered, “You’ve beautiful hair, Luna. The color keeps blowing my mind even though the white wolves have been staying in the pack for weeks.”
I thanked Maya again. As soon as she was done curling my hair and combing it into bouncy curls, she breathed, “We’ll leave you to get dressed.”
“Papa got a dress for you. It’s right there on the bed.” Kyle blushed as he said to me.
Katie whined, “He needs to get me one too.”
I laughed but thankfully, Maya led the twins out of the room, saving me from Katie’s expression of jealousy.
“It’s always the daughters.” Inara scoffed in my head and I laughed again.
“That means she has a father, Inara and I’m happy for her,” I said to my wolf and went to the bed to pick up the onion color dress on the bed.
Aside from the very attractive color, the dress itself blew me away. Its style was simple but the texture of the dress was everything but simple. It was luxurious. Happily, I slowly pulled the zipper and wore the dress, mindful of my hair.
I walked back to the mirror to check my appearance and all I could say was that I would be a criminal if self-love was a crime. Gosh, I loved myself at the moment.
“You are a beautiful woman, Fiona. That’s no news.” Inara complimented my looks and I could see my cheeks turning red through my reflection in the mirror.
Although I liked my short bob hair, it didn’t suit me like this longer length.
Still looking at myself in the mirror, I tried to zip up the dress but my attempts failed. I strolled to the door, hoping to get Maya to help me but as soon as I opened the door, I came face to face with Lucas who was standing there with a bouquet in his hand.
“I get flowers…” I managed to breathe as my eyes lingered on his appearance.
He had changed his outfit and perhaps freshened up because he smelled like he had been to heaven.
“You remain the most precious flower but yes, you get flowers,” Lucas responded with a straight voice and a firm yet emotional voice that sent shivers down my spine. I parted my lips to speak but found my tongue frozen but Lucas came to the rescue as he gave me the bouquet, “Are you ready to go?”
I stuttered, “My z-zip…”

He didn’t waste a second as he walked around me. His fingers skimmed over the low of my naked back as he picked the zipper.
I inhaled sharply and held my breath. Lucas zipped me up easily, but goddess did he take his sweet time!
His breath fanned my neck as he teased me- or maybe I was overthinking and overreacting to his touch.
“All zipped up,” Lucas muttered the sexual tension in the room thickening instantly.
His head was hanging low and over my shoulder. I made the mistake of turning around to face him…. To look into his eyes.
“We should go…” He breathed.
But his eyes… his dilated eyes told a different story.
My body reacted to his voice and his hoarse voice. It wasn’t surprising when I uttered breathlessly, “We should.”
Immediately those two words slipped past my lips, I hurried out of the room, away from Lucas and the heat radiating off his body so I could breathe properly.
“Who’s the horny she-wolf now?” Inara mocked me without hesitation.
My face burned from embarrassment as I put the flowers in a vase in the kitchen where I could have a minute without the hotness Lucas had become. I didn’t leave the kitchen until I had control over my breathing.
“So where are we going?” I asked Lucas when I returned to the living room. Maya and the kids weren’t in the house and I didn’t bother to ask Lucas about their whereabouts.
“You’ll see.” He responded with a smile, opening the entrance door for me like a gentleman.
And just like that, our first date began. I stepped out of the apartment, open for whatever surprises Lucas had planned. But the date didn’t start properly until Lucas uttered, “Have I told you how beautiful you are? You take my breath away…”
