Fiona
I woke up to an empty bed…
Or in other words, I woke up alone but sore which tells the tale of last night.
If it wasn’t for the voices I heard in my sleep, I bet I would still be snoring and not realize that Lucas had left the room…
“He must have woken up early. Perhaps he’s preparing breakfast.” I thought to myself as I got out of bed after noticing how cold Lucas’s side of the bed was.
I walked to the closet, picked out a pair of shorts and a wine blouse, and rushed my naked ass to the bathroom as I could hear Katie and Kyle’s voices. Their giggles woke me up. I quickly washed my body, hating the fact that I wouldn’t smell like Lucas anymore afterward but I also didn’t want my kids to smell sex on me.
I put on my clothes before moving to the living room where I found Maya, my kids, and Iris… that’s everyone but Lucas and my face kinda fell even though Katie and Kyle hugged me affectionately.
“Where is he?” I asked, looking at Iris and Maya, expecting one of them to know when Lucas left the apartment and his whereabouts.
“Good morning to you too, Luna Fiona,” Iris uttered mockingly.
Certainly, she could still smell the intimate activities of the last night on me despite the all scrubbing I did in the bathroom. “It’s good to see you, Iris. Have you seen Lucas today?” I asked her nervously, avoiding meeting her amused eyes. “Nope. The last time I saw him, he was dropping the kids off for an unplanned sleepover with their grandma.” Iris chided. I ignored her, looking at Maya for answers, “How about you, Maya?”
It looks like she had been here long enough to clean the couch because I knew that wasn’t how Lucas and I left it last night. But Maya shook her head, “I came in with Lady Iris and the twins. I haven’t seen the Alpha.”
My heart sank but I didn’t wear my emotions on my face as I nodded to Maya, “Thank you.”
Why would he leave me alone in bed?
After a passionate night?
I didn’t want to think about it but his actions kinda reminded me of the past we tried so hard… so passionately to erase last night-
“He didn’t spend the night with you?” Iris asked with raised brows.
“Woke up to a cold bed. I don’t think he did.” I answered, sighing.
I did call myself a slut who he picked up from a random bar last night but how dare he treat me like some slut?
“Trust me, I raised him better than that.” Iris patted my shoulders, speaking from understanding.
I assured her that I was fine but my heart ached as I took the kids back to the room so they could freshen up. I noticed that the room was clean as well.
“At least he thought to clean before he ditched me in bed,” I murmured to myself.
The kids and I had breakfast with Iris and Maya, who prepared some delicious pancakes. After breakfast, Iris and I went to check on the members of the Moon Stone Pack. I met Alpha Clinton who looked healthier than he was when he arrived. He asked me, “Have you seen my son? He hasn’t returned since he left with Alpha Lucas yesterday.”
Oh… Benji and Otis must have had a long night as well.
But unlike me, they still have each other.
They probably spent the night in each other’s arms.
“I’m sure he will be back soon,” I said to Alpha Clinton, masking my emotions.
By the time I left Lucas’s Mansion, I was livid.
I was boiling with anger and knew I would rip that man apart if I set my eyes on him. Even if he had to leave, he could have left a message for me. A note on the fucking bedside table would have been enough.
Angrily, I marched to the purifying lake where Lori was already waiting for me. She saw my anger and asked me to soak myself in the lake before we commenced training for the day.
“I heard you healed the wounded Moon Stone members two days ago and still healed some yesterday. That’s improvement and I’m proud of you, Fiona.” Lori said to me after my anger melted away. “I told you that you can’t rush it. This is the kind of ability that surface when you least expected.”
“I have learned my lesson,” I said to Lori even though I knew I wouldn’t be patient for the next step. “So can we start mending now that I can heal?”
Lori laughed, “I wonder why you rush so much, Fiona.”
Oh, I rushed because I wanted to save a man I would eventually kill with my own hands.
I found my anger rising again and just when Lori told me that we wouldn’t be able to train if I kept flaring and losing control of my emotions, Susanna entered the hut and announced, “We’ve been asked to gather in the Pack’s Square by Alpha Lucas.”
“Why?” Lori asked.
But before Susanna could provide an answer, I stormed towards the Pack’s square, determined to teach Lucas a lesson.
