"Okay what's your deal with that girl?" I asked after dragging Dimitri into the kitchen. Clara was in the living room watching over them and the Kids.
"I like her, I mean I really like her but she doesn't like me, not one bit. I've asked her out twice and she rejected me" He explained with a frown and I smiled.
"The almighty Knight Dimitri is in love with someone? Who would have thought" I teased and he rolled his eyes.
"I didn't say love but I really like her. I asked Clara about it some months ago and she told me to be honest with her about my feelings but that didn't work out. She got angry at me for even saying that and has been ignoring me ever since. I had to convince Russo to come here because I knew she would follow him. I don't know what else to do" He murmured and I frowned.
"You told Clara but you didn't tell me?" I asked slightly offended and his eyes widened slightly.
"Well at that time, you were already going through a lot and I didn't want to burden you with..."
"You're my brother, Dimitri. No matter what, I would have listened to you. You know you can tell me anything right? Especially if it comes to chasing someone you love. You do know how long I chased Luca, don't you?" I asked and he nodded.
"Yeah I should probably have come to you first since Damon did all the chasing with Clara. You understand me more" He said and I nodded.
"I also understand Rebecca. There must be a reason she's pushing you away or rejecting you and you have to find out that reason in order for your relationship to blossom. Just by seeing her today, I can see that she's a shy girl and seems very awkward so you have to be strategic on how you approach her. You need to be patient as well. Do you know her that well? Like her story and why she doesn't have a pack?" I asked and he shook his head.
"I never really asked but i know they're not rogues" He said and I sighed then shook my head.
"Even i knew that by their scent, idiot. She must probably think you just want to get into her pants" I muttered and he tilted his head.
"Well..."
"Dimitri!" I whispered his name harshly and he chuckled.
"I'm just kidding. What do you think I should do then? She wouldn't even talk to me if we are alone and when I'm with Russo, she talks to him and excludes me" He uttered and I could see that this was really bothering him.
The thing with us Donovans is that when we love, we love with everything in us which sometimes could be a curse.
"First of all, get to know her better. Even if she pushes you away, still try to know her better. You cannot just confess to someone that you know nothing about. You need to get her to warm up to you, to trust you and you can't achieve that by being in her face all the time, okay? Be patient. You've got the Donovan charm, she'll love you in no time" I assured him with a smile and he smiled back.
"Thank you Delilah. I heard about Luca. Are you okay?" He asked with a frown and I sighed.
"Of course I'm okay. He's doing this to get better so I have to suck it up and pray that he returns safely" I told him and he nodded before wrapping his arms around me.
"He will. Now that my girl is here, I'll be staying in this pack way longer than I used to so you can always come talk to me and I'll come visit to keep you and Mia company" He assured me and I smiled.
"Okay that's enough, get off me before I punch you" I threatened jokingly and he chuckled before pulling away.
We went outside and Clara was discussing with Russo and Rebecca who seemed totally intrigued about whatever she was talking about.
Rebecca giggled slightly and I felt Dimitri stiffen beside me. Damn, just how much did he like her?
Clara turned to us with a smile.
"Oh you're back. I was getting to know our newest Pack members" She told us and immediately Rebecca saw Dimitri, a scowl appeared on her face and she turned away.
[Did you see that? She hates me] Dimitri mind linked me and I sighed before patting his back.
[Be patient with her] I replied before going over to sit down beside Clara, taking Mia from her arms.
"So have you gotten them settled in, Dimitri?" I asked and he shook his head.
"Damon sent me here and said only if you both approve, he'll let them stay. Do you approve?" He asked and I rolled my eyes at him.
"Of course we approve. Give them a nice house next to yours since they're your responsibility now" I said then winked slightly at him and he grinned.
"Must we stay next to him?" Rebecca asked softly and her brother chuckled nervously.
"Rebecca don't be rude, he brought us here or would you rather stay in the forest for ever?" Russo questioned and by his tone, I could see that he was getting fed up with her.
"If she doesn't want to stay next to me then that's okay, Russo. I'll have everything arranged and I'll get you a place that's not so far from Delilah and Clara since youre more comfortable with them" Dimitri uttered with a smile and I was glad he immediately diffused the situation but Russo still seemed mad.
"We'll stay wherever you put us, Dimitri. You don't have to go through too much trouble to accommodate us" Russo said and Dimitri shook his head.
"It's not problem at all. I hope you won't mind but you'll be staying at my guest house in the meantime while your house gets ready" He said with a pointed look at Rebecca.
"We don't mind at all" Russo immediately replied and I gave Dimitri a pointed look negore motioning towards Rebecca.
"Do you mind, Rebecca? Because I can think of something else" He said to her and her eyes widened slightly then she shook her head.
"That's okay, I don't mind" She replied and Dimitri smiled.
After a while, they left and i could only hope that Dimitri would end up winning her heart. There must be a reason why she's that way towards him.
Speaking of which, i pulled out my phone and still no calls or messages from Luca.
I hope he was doing okay...
